If you’re a fan of HGTV’s hit “Flip or Flop” you’ll be sad to learn that the show’s star couple, Tarek and Christina El Moussa, are calling it quits. In their marriage, that is.

Six months ago the police were called to the couple’s house for an altercation involving a handgun. According to BizPac Review,

Nearly a dozen deputies and a helicopter responded to “a call of a possibly suicidal male with a gun” at the couple’s Orange County home back in May, TMZ reported. Tarek, 35, allegedly ran from his home with a gun, which he dropped when the helicopter spotted him and deputies ordered him to do so.

He said he had no intention of hurting himself and only wanted to “blow off some steam,” according to TMZ.

Since the incident, Tarek and Christina (who have been married since 2009) have gone to counseling to work on their marriage, but have recently decided to part ways. They intend to continue to be great parents to children Taylor and Brayden, and they also plan to continue their professional lives together.

So it seems that with any luck, “Flip or Flop” will remain in production after the current season finishes airing.
