Trump Calls Out Sweden for Imprisoning A$AP Rocky, Libs Seethe

A$AP Rocky is the name of a rapper, and yes, that’s how he $pells it.* He’s currently in a Swedish jail, charged with assault after an altercation in Stockholm last month. And now he’s got a very powerful supporter trying to free him: the president of the United States.

Presumably this is the video President Trump is talking about:

A$AP Rocky says those guys had been following him for blocks and he told them to leave him alone.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea for an American president to get involved in a situation like this, but it certainly contradicts the popular view that Trump is a racist. He’s speaking up because A$AP Rocky is an American. Is that really so bad?

It is if you’re WaPo’s Eugene Scott. As he explains:

Trump has struggled with black voters since launching his presidential campaign…

Since entering the Oval Office, profane attacks on black football players protesting racism and police brutality; telling women of color in Congress who have criticized his policies to “go back” to where they came from…

Trump, a celebrity before he was a politician, appears to give more credence to the words of black musicians than he does black people working in policy and advocacy. He views entertainers as the most influential voices in black America. That could be in part because Trump does not have a black person working in a senior position in his White House…

So Trump is only speaking up for a black rapper to spite the people who think Trump is a racist. That’s Eugene Scott’s theory.

Meanwhile, Vibe proclaims: “Trump’s Interference In A$AP Rocky’s Case May Actually Make Matters Worse.” And director Ava DuVernay says:

A simple “Thank you” would’ve sufficed.

It’s possible that Trump is only helping a black guy to hide his own white supremacy, I guess? Or maybe — I know this sounds crazy, but hear me out — maybe Trump genuinely thinks A$AP Rocky is getting a raw deal. Maybe he’s doing what he thinks is right.

And that’s coming from me, a notorious cuck RINO traitor who probably wanted Hillary to win. I don’t like Trump’s tweeting, and I don’t think he should be tweeting about this. But I really don’t think it’s evidence of racism.

That’s why libs can’t abide it, because it goes against their most cherished beliefs. Because #OrangeManBad, no matter what he says or does. Because confirmation bias is a bitch.

*This is literally the only thing I’ve ever seen A$AP Rocky in, so I can’t speak to his rapping abilities. But it made me laugh.
