'NY Daily News': San Bernardino Victim Just as Bigoted as His Murderer

The mainstream media has for years been in the business of justifying jihad terror and demonizing those who oppose it, but now it has reached an appalling new low.

Linda Stasi in the New York Daily News last Saturday portrayed jihad murderer Syed Rizwan Farook and his victim Nicholas Thalasinos as two sides of the same coin:

They were two hate-filled, bigoted municipal employees interacting in one department. Now 13 innocent people are dead in unspeakable carnage. … Make no mistake, as disgusting and deservedly dead as the hate-filled fanatical Muslim killers were, Thalasinos was also a hate-filled bigot.

Her equivalence founders, of course, on the simple and titanic fact that Farook was a mass murderer, while Thalasinos was never going to kill anyone.

But in her madness to justify the San Bernardino jihad murders, Stasi doesn’t bother to mention that.

Stasi is also too fastidious to provide the murderers’ names:

One man, the Muslim, was a loser who had to travel all the way to Pakistan to get himself an email bride. (I refuse to add to their fame by using the killer and his murderous wife’s names.)

But she doesn’t hesitate to defecate on the memory of the man Farook murdered.

And Thalasinos isn’t the only one Stasi defames:

The killer, however, became half of an Islamic Bonnie & Clyde, while the other died as the male equivalent of Pamela Geller.

Why does Stasi believe that Pamela Geller is the equivalent of Syed Rizwan Farook?

Geller has put her life on the line calling attention to and opposing the Islamic hatred and bloodlust that lead to the San Bernardino jihad murders and other jihad mass murders. Nothing is so sure-fire a way to earn the undying hatred of the Leftist media than robust and forthright discussion of how Islamic jihadis use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and make recruits among peaceful Muslims. If Pamela Geller’s warnings had been heeded, Nicholas Thalasinos and the other San Bernardino victims might be alive today.

But they were not heeded, because of people like Linda Stasi.

By spitting on the dead and the one person leading the resistance to jihad terror, Linda Stasi is perpetuating the environment that enabled the San Bernardino jihad attack to happen.

Stasi’s article shows how rabidly hate-filled the Left has become today, and how far it has departed from any sense of basic human decency. Theirs is a Manichaean division of the world between the good and enlightened — that is, everyone on the Left — and the benighted yahoos of the Right, who have no rights that a Leftist is bound to respect. Even when they’re brutally murdered, a doctrinaire ideologue like Linda Stasi would rather clink champagne glasses over their graves than express any common bond of humanity.

Nicholas Thalasinos had it coming because he was a “right-winger,” and that’s a lucky thing for Linda Stasi: imagine her moral dilemma if Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik had murdered a hard-leftist, or even a fan of her hateful little column. She would be torn between crying for the beloved martyr and making excuses for the killers, since everyone knows that jihadis only resort to murder because racist, bigoted “Islamophobic” Americans drive them to it.

But in this case, Stasi’s moral choice was easy. She could throw in a dash of pro-forma criticism for the killers whom she refuses to name, while reserving the bulk of her hatred and contempt for the conservative victim. Her gleeful lack of any moral compass is just one manifestation of the entire mainstream media’s loss of moorings. It is now taken for granted that the nation’s largest and most well-established news outlets are propaganda forums for the nation’s enemies, and that unapologetic patriots will get short shrift. If they find themselves, like Nicholas Thalasinos, murdered by Islamic jihadists, they will even be subjected to the spectacle of Leftist columnists dancing on their graves.

The next time there is a jihad mass murder on American soil, Linda Stasi should stand up and take a bow — and if there is a “right-winger” among the dead, she can run another victory lap like this one.
