As was depressingly expected, low-life looters are raiding vacated homes and businesses in Florida as Hurricane Irma lashes the state with wind and rain. A favorite target seems to be Foot Locker, which looters hit in both Ft. Lauderdale and Miami on Sunday. Additionally, a looting suspect was shot in Weston, FL, as he was burglarizing a vacated home, and there was an armed standoff in Orlando between a SWAT team and looters at a sporting goods store.
In Ft. Lauderdale, WPLG Local 10 caught multiple losers on camera breaking through the front window of a Simon’s Sportswear, going inside and leaving with various items.

Police in Miami, with guns drawn, were able to catch a few looters in midtown Miami. Dan Krauth of NBC6 reported that they had been going at it for an hour before police were on the scene. You can hear cheers and applause when the police catch the looters:

In Weston, FL, one looter was shot and another taken into custody while they were breaking into an evacuated home.
Out-of-town homeowners alerted Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies about 3 a.m. Saturday that their home surveillance system had captured video of burglars inside their Weston home.
At least one deputy fired at one suspect outside the home, injuring him. The teen was taken to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Another suspect was taken into custody without incident.
According to Local 10 News, the deputy wasn’t injured.
