Video: Jimmy Fallon & the 'Star Wars' Cast Singing the Theme Song Is the Most Exciting Way to Get to Friday!

If you’re like me and millions of other Star Wars fans, you’re looking forward to the low-key release this weekend of a little film called The Force Awakens. Jimmy Fallon and his Tonight Show band The Roots have teamed up to whet our appetites in the most appealing way. They performed John Williams’ iconic score along with the cast of the series’ latest installment, which already boasts a 97% fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes.

In the clip, the participants appear in their own colorful “boxes” like the Brady Bunch opening credits, and cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, Carrie Fisher, and even Harrison Ford join in. Droids C-3PO (though presumably not Anthony Daniels), R2-D2, and BB-8 also join in the fun, along with Chewbacca. The cast members sound great, and Ford doesn’t seem to mind playing along.

Inevitably, Star Wars fans will wonder, just like with the trailers: where’s Mark Hamill? Clearly, this means that he’s the villain in the film, right? Maybe not.

Now that you’ve seen the clip, aren’t you more excited about Friday?
