American socialists, like so many other Marxists in many other countries throughout history, want to let murderers and rapists out of prison, but lock up people who are independent thinkers. This is precisely why we have to treat socialism as an existential threat to America, because it condemns the most basic American rights while glorifying the most despicable criminals.
Fox News’ Laura Ingraham and actor Kelsey Grammer were discussing how Communists, which include socialists, don’t want to reform the government, but rather to destroy it and put themselves in power. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) hate everything that made our country great.
In a Marxist country, Grammer drily commented, being “in the leadership — it’s a great place to be, but if you're with the people, I mean… They want to do away with prisons, but they want to establish what they call reeducation camps. So you get to go to camp, and you either just disappear there, die there, like Solzhenitsyn.” Alexander Solzhenitsyn was a Russian political dissident in a Soviet hard labor camp for about eight years. Grammer was wrong about how long the prison sentence was, but right to remember how bogus the alleged crime was.

Solzhenitsyn essentially went to jail “just for having a different opinion,” Grammer argued. “That's the kind of nonsense they were going to pass on to us, if they ever get traction. I actually don't think they will. I think the people of the United States are the workers of the United States. I mean, they have to have a job.” What Grammer does forget to factor in is how many young Americans have attended schools where Marxists brainwashed them. True, most Americans still are wary of outright Communism, but young people increasingly support it because they are completely ignorant of economics and have an entitlement mentality. And those of us who are awake to the danger need to be much more aggressive in fighting it.
Notably, the DSA specifically expresses empathy with the genocidal Iranian regime and Gazan terrorists in its platform, aligning itself with dictators who admire mass murder, but arrest or kill anyone who expresses criticism of the regime. It lists “free Palestine”, which actually means the obliteration of Israel, as one of its main goals — the DSA even explicitly says it wants Jerusalem to be a “Palestinian” capital. The DSA also prioritizes ending widespread incarceration of criminals and abolishing ICE. It condemns private ownership, promotes publicly owned (that is, government) housing, and glorifies abortion and transgender surgeries.

The DSA wants ranked-choice voting everywhere, which would basically negate the purpose of having elections. “Abolish the Electoral College. Replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress,” it demands. “Establish public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries.” In other words, the DSA totally rejects America’s system of government altogether, and wants to establish a dictatorship that controls everything, from the biggest business to the smallest apartment, from the wealthiest plutocrat to the most impoverished worker.
Stalin or Mao would be proud. And of course, such a transformation would require a great deal of violence and incarceration, as socialist revolutions have always involved, which is why Communism is responsible for more deaths than any other ideology in history. We cannot afford to scoff at these wackos anymore. They are winning elections and taking over institutions. This is revolution.
