Trump Signs Birthright Citizenship Executive Orders

President Donald Trump on Thursday signed two executive orders to prevent U.S. citizenship from becoming a hopelessly meaningless and constantly sold commodity.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Trump v. Barbara to reject the original interpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment, which had excluded certain persons born on U.S. soil (Native American Indians), to claim that every single individual born in America is a citizen. That includes children of “birth tourists” and foreign criminals. So since Congress is also dragging its heels on fixing the national security threat, Trump took action himself.

“The Administration upholds the integrity of the Nation’s immigration system by denying the entry of birth tourists who often work with malign syndicates to evade immigration laws and who plan to exploit their temporary admission to obtain American citizenship,” the White House declared in an August 6 press release.

    •    The first Executive Order non-exhaustively identifies certain categories of children of aliens who are not entitled to birthright citizenship consistent with historical exceptions to birthright citizenship recognized by the Supreme Court in Barbara.

    •    The second Executive Order delegates presidential authorities to the Secretary of State and Secretary of Homeland Security and directs them to halt the practice of birth tourism.

By 2030, we could see up to a million Chinese Communists alone voting in American elections thanks to “birth tourism.” The Trump administration has identified networks in multiple countries, including Muslim nations, that fly expectant mothers to America for a price in order to help them have citizen children here. That not only enables individuals loyal to other governments to infiltrate our country; it also entitles greedy individuals to certain benefits accessible only to citizens and can function as an anchor baby system.

From the White House release:

    •    The Trump Administration reformed the citizenship test to better assess aliens’ understandings of American history, government, and values, and better ensure aliens meet all eligibility requirements.

    •    The Trump Administration moved to purge tens of thousands of illegal aliens from states’ voter rolls and are working to ensure they cannot vote in U.S. elections – a right protected for only Americans.

It is obvious that our immigration system is very broken and that individuals from countries with cultures and governments hostile to us have been abusing our warped system. The Trump administration deported over three million illegal aliens, but since there could be more than 30 million illegal aliens in America, that’s only a preliminary dent. And it doesn’t include all those who wrongly obtained citizenship through birth tourism, amnesty, or lying to citizenship officials.
