The Palestinian Authority, which swore to uphold America's peace plan for Gaza, lied, of course. And a major indication of that is not only the fact that the PA continues its pay-for-slay program, which rewards terrorists and their families, but also that the program has paid out sizable amounts of money to terrorists released under the U.S.-brokered peace plan.
The 2025 peace plan put Israel at a severe disadvantage, forcing it to surrender around 2,000 Gazans (most of them jihadis, and 250 of them convicted mass murderers) in exchange for the last handful of surviving Israeli hostages. It was a repeat of the 2011 Gilad Shalit deal, which traded a thousand Palestinians for one Israeli. Among those 2011 Palestinians was Yahya Sinwar, mastermind of the Oct. 7 atrocities. And the 2025 peace plan also sent home countless terrorists who became automatic millionaires thanks to the pay-for-slay program. Now the U.S. government is itself acknowledging how the deal backfired.
The Washington Free Beacon announced on April 20 that it had obtained a U.S. State Department report for Congress confirming that the Palestinian Authority (PA) gave salaries to terrorists released by Israel as part of the Trump-brokered Gaza “peace plan.” This was the first official U.S. government recognition that the PA has “provided payments to convicted terrorists released from Israeli prisons in October 2025 under President Trump’s 20-point peace plan.”
Palestinian Media Watch also reported that that the PA just issued another round of pay-for-slay payments:
Today, on the eve of Israel's Remembrance Day for fallen soldiers and victims of terror, the Palestinian Authority is paying this month's pay-for-slay salaries - to reward the murderers of Israeli men, women and children.

In fact, as of late 2025 (after the peace deal), the PA had shelled out considerably more in pay-for-slay payments than it had the previous year. The 2024 bill was $144 million while the 2025 bill was at least $214 million. Of the latter amount, about $70 million went specifically to the 250 mass murdering jihadis released through the peace deal. More than 150 of them became automatic millionaires.
Therefore, it is obvious that the PA was telling the Trump administration one tale and acting in complete contradiction whenever it thought America wasn't looking. Indeed, the PA reportedly invited Hamas to "unify with us" at almost the same time it publicly announced support for Trump's peace plan, which excluded Hamas.
All of this is excellent reason for us not to send the $10 billion of U.S. taxpayer money to Gaza, as the Trump administration had planned. As of October 2025, 80% of Palestinians still supported jihad, and Hamas is consolidating its power. Meanwhile, of course, the PA is as always part of the problem rather than part of the solution.
Americans have spent decades hoping that the Muslims who call themselves Palestinians would desire peace if only they received an even more generous deal than the last round of killing. But for these jihadis, war is not only a way of life; they believe they are commanded to wipe the only Jewish nation off the face of the earth. At a certain point, we must recognize the undeniable.
