Qatar’s regime is both a major backer of Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other Islamic terrorist groups, and the biggest foreign funder of America universities. It is also apparently an enthusiast for the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) dangerous plan to take over the nation of Taiwan.
There are many reasons already to see Qatar as a threat to America, but the emir’s support for a Chinese invasion that would spell economic disaster for the United States is another major one.
The CCP is the worst mass murdering regime in all of history, with 500 million victims and counting. Qatar is one of the biggest state sponsors of Islamic terrorism in the world today. It seems likely that a similarity in genocidal beliefs and a united hatred of the West could be bringing them into closer ideological alignment.
Taiwan manufactures 60% of global semiconductors and 90% of advanced chips, the chips upon which we depend for the electronics and machines on which our society is built, so the CCP seizing Taiwan would in fact be a gargantuan crisis for America too.

Buried in the description of the meeting between Chinese Vice President Han Zheng‘s visit with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani from CCP propaganda outlet Xinhua is the following passage:
Highlighting China's status as Qatar's largest trading partner, the emir said the relationship is of vital importance to Qatar.
Qatar, he added, cherishes its friendship with China, thanks China for its support in safeguarding its territorial sovereignty and national security, and will firmly adhere to the one-China principle.
I highlighted that phrase for a reason. It is the CCP propaganda term for its illegitimate claim to Taiwan.
Taiwan has never belonged to the CCP. It became independent from China after the Chinese civil war in which the CCP usurped power through force, driving the legitimate Chinese government to Taiwan, where the latter founded a separate, democratic, and anti-Communist nation. So when Qatar or the CCP talks about a “one-China principle,” what they really mean is that they want the illegitimate and genocidal regime that unfortunately took charge in China to take over and devastate Taiwan as well, as the CCP invaded and devastated Tibet.

Admittedly, Qatar’s support for CCP claims on Taiwan is not brand new. Back in 2022, Qatari World Cup organizers referred to Taiwan not as an independent nation but as a “Province of China.” It is also worth noting that in the new piece, Qatar’s emir expressed support for China’s new Five Year Plan, which prioritizes military goals as the CCP mobilizes its military.
In May, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) emphasized how extensive and deadly is Qatari support for terror: “Qatar, the world's greatest financer of extremist Islamist elements such as the Muslims Brotherhood and jihadi terror organizations, is now mobilizing to support the new Syrian regime headed by Ahmed Al-Sharaa, until recently known as Abu Muhammad Al-Joulani, leader of the Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) terror organization.”
And of course, the Qatari regime continues to sponsor Hamas leaders in luxury. Ynet Global accused in September, “Doha can’t pose as mediator and sponsor extremists at the same time, and strict oversight of its aid, media and terror ties must be implemented.”
All of which is to say that the U.S. needs to take very seriously the threats posed by Qatar and China.
