America has a plague of mental and moral sickness. We saw that painfully clearly with the leftist media and activist reaction to the heartbreaking assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Even if the person who dies is one with whom we disagree, conservatives don’t gleefully celebrate the death with laughing emojis, mockery, maniacally chuckling on TikTok, and frenzied excitement. In fact, when a prominent leftist dies, Republicans usually rush to send condolences to the family and to say something complimentary. And that’s just for a natural death.
Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck in front of a large crowd of people, leaving his wife and little kids bereft, because he was too effective at convincing people through respectful and charitable discourse. And after that horrifying killing, leftists took to social media with gruesomely delighted posts, even calling for more assassinations, while mainstream media criticized and smeared Kirk.

It is true that the history of the Democrat Party is a history of political violence, from the caning of Charles Sumner to the Civil War to the KKK and Red Shirts to Antifa. But even more than political violence is now at play in our society. Robert Westman killed children he didn’t know because they were Catholic. School shootings have become commonplace — including the new shooting in Colorado. Leftists were drunk with delight at the murder of a man who doesn’t hold any elected office and simply tries to debate college students. Now, leftists are calling for other prominent conservatives to be shot, too. There is a sort of demonic derangement clouding people’s minds and hearts now.

At a certain point, we shall have to admit that either we will end the Democrat Party (I speak, of course, politically, not violently), or the Democrat Party will end America. Democrats hate our founding documents, Judeo-Christian religion, natural law, the family, freedom — everything that made America great. You cannot live in peace with a person who screams with joy at a senseless assassination and says a president is like Hitler because he supports law and order.
And that’s the terrifying part. Because a significant chunk of our population truly believes violence is the answer. We saw it in 2020 with the BLM/Antifa riots, and we saw it again with the anti-ICE riots this year. Radical leftists didn’t hide their disappointment at Donald Trump’s survival of an assassination attempt any more than they tried to hide their perverse joy at the successful assassination attempt on Kirk.
Our whole society needs major reform and transformation. And Republicans need to start admitting how deadly serious — and deadly — our opponents are. They are fanatically dedicated to poisoning, remaking, and weaponizing every institution in our country. We are at war, but one side is more aggressive than the other.
Wake up and hear the gunshots, patriots. Charlie Kirk’s life and legacy deserve that we carry on his fight with more passion than ever before. And he deserves that we have a justice system not rigged in favor of powerful leftists and their favorite minions. He was effective not because he was violent or vicious, but because he was fearless and determined not to let anything deter him. May the same be said one day of all of us, too.
