Democrats aren’t even trying to hide their unconstitutional, anti-American, pro-crime beliefs anymore. They’re letting it all hang out.
Democrats have been engaging in election fraud and espousing blatantly unconstitutional and anti-American policies since the 19th century, but in recent decades, they have been making a pretense at caring about election integrity and crime. That definitely changed under the Biden administration, and now the Democrats are not bothering to pretend at all. They are showing their true colors — mostly Marxist red.
Washington, D.C., Democrats are suing Donald Trump for initiating a federal takeover of the city’s police in an effort to bring down the rampant crime there. Washington even beats out multiple cities in Third World dictatorships for crime rates, but Democrats don’t care; they are happy to have crime as long as they can hire armed security. The point is chaos and fear because Democrats have the most control when people are afraid and irrational.
Meanwhile, protestors have filled the D.C. streets, with one demonstration taking place a short walk from where a man was being shot. Trump posted Friday, “It’s just been found that the Democrats are buying protestors in order to fight my attack on crime. These are criminals who support crime. They are unelectable!”
And leftists are trumpeting their disdain for our Republic’s form of government, too. Osita Nwanevu, in his new book, “The Right of the People: Democracy and the Case for a New American Founding,” makes the case for “constitutional revolution — from adding new states, to packing the Supreme Court,” as Ross Douthat reveals in a shocking new episode of his show on The New York Times website.

Of course, Osita Nwanevu pays lip service to valuing democracy (someone should tell him we’re a Republic), but ultimately, disguised under the jargon about popular power, he wants to abolish safeguards of our election system, like the Electoral College and the Senate, to ensure that only people with whom he agrees can be in power. Unlike some Democrats in the past, he is up front about his desire to rig the system to keep his party in power regardless. And the Times was happy to platform him.
Then there’s the gerrymandering issue. Democrats lost their minds over Texas redistricting— which, by the way, didn’t succeed — and California Gov. Gavin Newsom even has new legislation explicitly designed to gerrymander California even more in protest. But the key there is that the blue states were already gerrymandered a long time ago.
Victor Davis Hanson explained that Democrats love to pretend they “are saving democracy from Donald Trump, and that justifies almost any means necessary to achieve the end of destroying or preventing Donald Trump from governing effectively. The problem with all of this is they are destroying democracy.”

Hanson stated, “The general problem the left has is, if you look at gerrymandering to make these jigsaw puzzle piece-like districts, the left is way ahead of the right. In other words, states that have portions of 30 to 40 to 50% for Donald Trump do not have that level of representation. And there's been sophisticated studies of gerrymandering, and it boils down to — the Republicans are short some six to 10 seats in the House based on the proportion of the national vote they have received.”
The Democrats are not angry about gerrymandering; they are angry that a party besides theirs might have learned to use redistricting to its advantage. James Carville, Cory Booker, Hakeem Jeffries, Jasmine Crockett, the rest of the Squad, and all the prominent Democrats are displaying great anger. “And now the new idea is that they haven't been tough enough,” Hanson commented drily. “They have been too tough.” Democrats gerrymandered too much, not too little. And that is why Newsom is proudly planning to do more.
When your enemy tells you who he is, believe him. Democrats are willing to fight like hell to take back the country. We have to be equally dedicated to stopping their Marxist revolution.
