Well, this is unsettling.
Centers for Disease Control Director Dr. Tom Frieden appeared on CNN today alongside Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Frieden intended to reassure CNN and the American people by explaining how difficult it is to contract Ebola. The first case of that deadly virus has been confirmed in a patient in Dallas.
Gupta and Frieden get into a little debate over what “contact” means. Take a look.
Frieden says that though he is standing just three feet from Gupta, for Ebola purposes they are not in “direct contact” because they have not touched. But anchor Michaela Pereira notes that a sneeze would change everything. And Frieden agrees and says “We would take a close look at that.”
Alrighty then!
