CBS ace Sharyl Attkisson is tweeting about the status of her Freedom of Information Act request for materials related to White House activities related to the night that four Americans died in the terrorist attack on the US facility in Benghazi, Libya.
The FBI has denied her request.
FBI denied the Freedom of Info requests I made re: Benghazi…and I appealed the denials a long time ago. Finally heard back!

FBI says I can’t have any info. Not even one page.
— Sharyl Attkisson (@SharylAttkisson) August 16, 2013
They say it’s because release of the info could interfere with law enforcement proceedings.

I guess they can claim that exemption pretty much forever, if they choose.

The White House photo office says they’re happy to release photos but need White House press office approval.

White House press office hasn’t returned a single call regarding this query (and I believe we started calling in late fall).

As in, nearly a year ago.
All I asked for was info and photos similar to what WH released after successful bin Laden raid.

No Situation Room photo. Nothing.
The White House has offered no proof that President Obama did a single thing on the night of the deadly attack.
