Lady migrant cop with poor trigger discipline hate-crimed by memes
At the UK’s Annual Police Federation Conference, a migrant cop in a hijab called Fiona Shaik Umar received allegedly well-deserved recognition “for her outstanding contribution to women in policing” as “the first hijab-wearing officer in her unit,” who has “championed the voices of Muslim women in policing.”

Whatever UK bobbies doing their bobby work ought to have to do with flaunting hijabs or “championing the voices of Muslim women in policing” (whatever that even means), who knows?
In 2026, apparently, “championing the voices of Muslim women in policing” is simply meant to be taken at face value as an essential aspect of British police work.
Anyway, after being showered with her award for hijabing on the job, online sleuths dug up this deliciously ironic image of Officer Fiona in front of a “Women in Firearms Attachment” poster, with her finger on the trigger of a rifle pointed directly at the legs of a fellow officer and spread it far and wide on liberated X, in contravention of the most basic gun safety rules.

Sir Mark Rowley, London’s first closeted lesbian police chief — having an apparently rough go of menopause — was not amused, making the media rounds to harangue the Xsphere for the memery that trolls enjoyed at poor Fiona’s expense — an “online tirade of vileness,” as he colorfully put it.
Via British Brief (emphasis added):
Met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has condemned the “vile” racist and misogynistic abuse directed at a Muslim police officer after she received an award for championing women in policing…
PC Umar, the first hijab-wearing officer within her policing area, was presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Women in Policing Award. But Sir Mark revealed that the award had triggered an “online tirade” of abuse, including an AI-generated image depicting the officer with a suicide bomb.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s PM programme, he said: “The federation put out this really positive thing about this award, and the online tirade of vileness, of racist, anti-Islam and all sorts of other abuse, and misogynistic, was horrific.
“At one extreme, somebody did an AI-generated image and put a suicide bomb on her.
“I mean, the stuff out there is just vile.”…
The commissioner added in a statement: “Every career path is open to you regardless of whether you happen to wear a kippah, turban or hijab like Fiona.
“She is being celebrated for being an excellent office demonstrating this reality.
“But it angers me that not for the first time, a day that should have been a celebration for Fiona was marred by hateful, intolerant abuse online.
