Ana Navarro tries, fails to play race card during illegal migrant crackdown debate
The menopausal Latinx “The View” hostess pulled out the “shut up, white man” card at record speed to buttress her claim that the ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration is tantamount to a “Reign of Terror.”
I want to respond to you saying that I was hyperbolic when I talked about a Reign of Terror [concerning immigration enforcement]… It might be hyperbolic for you as a white man. It’s certainly not hyperbolic for me as a Latino*.

*Someone needs to sit Ana down for a struggle session to explain to her that the proper term is the inclusive “Latinx.” We’ve known that gendered language is transphobic for many long years.

Of course, this kind of demagoguery goes down in corporate state media constantly. What’s notable here is that, whereas just five years ago this tactic might have won the day, her race-baiting implodes in.
Due to overuse and abuse, this kind of rhetoric just doesn’t carry the same stigma as it once did.
None of this stuff works anymore, but the legacy media dinosaurs who have become so accustomed to tossing out the “shut your mouth, white man” card apparently still haven’t gotten the message.

Another 2015-era uber-woke that seems to have lost its luster is the pronunciamento that white women must seek from some Kafkaesque Social Justice™ authority approval to wear their hair in certain ways so as to avoid the stench of racism.

Consider how mad the BIPOC girl gets when she’s confronted with her own glaring hypocrisy.
This is very typical behavior, bolstered by decades of assurances from cultural authorities that having the right skin color or genitals or gender identity automatically equals moral license to do literally whatever one wants with impunity, lest anyone who objects be derided as some form of –ist.
To summarize the argument, white women wearing braids, which the Vikings did long before African-Americans took up the fashion trend, constitutes something naughty called “cultural appropriation.”
On the other hand, the MSNBC Race Lady (Joy Reid) perming and dying her hair blonde is totally acceptable, because she’s got melanin.
The Social Justice™ movement was always doomed to fail. The speed with which it has imploded, though, speaks to the quicksand upon which it was built.All it took was enough people deciding they weren’t going to play along anymore to achieve critical mass, and then — poof! The conjured demons evaporate.
