‘Home Deport’ defies DEI boycott
(If you inspect the URL below, in a somewhat apropos typo, given the current deportation effort largely aimed at illegal immigrant day laborers who congregate outside of the store, whoever uploaded the article used “Home Deport” initially both in the web address and the metadata.)
Via Fox 5 Atlanta (emphasis added):
Atlanta-based retailer Home Depot is the target of a 31-day boycott this month, organized by a group called The People’s Union USA. The effort is being led by the group’s founder, John Schwartz, who claims the company quietly removed its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) page from its website.
In a video posted to Instagram, Schwartz said the boycott goes beyond a single issue, suggesting it's part of a broader push for corporate accountability and transparency.
Home Depot responded in a statement to Newsweek, saying: "Our success has been driven by values that include respect for all people," and that the company is "proud to have a culture that welcomes everyone."
The logical follow-up would be: If you removed your compulsory DEI rhetoric from your website ostensibly because, in your own framing, you are “driven by values that include respect for all people,” why did you ever have a DEI program in the first place?
Of course, these corporations, with their fingers forever in the wind, simply change with the time.
The obnoxious pretense, maintained by whatever slick PR firms they hire to launch their BS out into the mediasphere, that they make any decisions based on lofty ideological convictions always grates on the nerves.
I would have way more respect for corporate America if they just admitted they are interested in making money instead of masquerading as undertaking some kind of humanitarian endeavors to foster “a culture that welcomes everyone.”
Please.
We all have BS fatigue.
No one believes Home Depot is a humanitarian organization.
The company removed its DEI webpage because Trump won, and it saw the writing on the wall.
Just be honest for once.
Communist New York mayoral candidate targets ‘whiter neighborhoods’ for increased taxes
Whither, progressive lib?
Race war or class war?
You probably can’t have both.

If you’re waging a jihad on the whole socioeconomic system, as the Democratic New York mayoral candidate appears to be doing, you’re going to need a strong base united in common cause; a tiny union of impoverished Persons of Color™ a successful communist revolution does not make.
Via Newsweek (emphasis added):
New York City's Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani has said he wants to "shift the tax burden" to "richer and whiter neighborhoods" if he secures election in November…
The document says that if elected his administration will "Shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods."
It adds: "The property tax system is unbalanced because assessment levels are artificially capped, so homeowners in expensive neighborhoods pay less than their fair share. The Mayor can fix this by pushing class assessment percentages down for everyone and adjusting rates up, effectively lowering tax payments for homeowners in neighborhoods like Jamaica and Brownsville while raising the amount paid in the most expensive Brooklyn brownstones."
Assuming fomenting class war is the ostensible goal, the politically savvy tack to take, even if one were inclined to anti-white grievance, would be to simply nix the “whiter” and leave the “richer” in place in the policy language.
But they can’t help it; their hatred of white people supersedes even practical political concerns, which is why the leftist Social Justice™ identity-based coalition is always doomed to fail on a long enough timeline.
While it should surprise no one that the son of a professor of colonialism studies is driven by racial grievances, you've got to wonder what's motivating the affluent, college-educated whites who voted for @ZohranKMamdani? pic.twitter.com/N5hLZYF917
