Trump Needs to Understand the Consequences of Flirting With Nikki Haley for VP

Rumor has it Trump is mulling bringing the she-demon, Nikki Haley, on board as VP. Or, at least, there is significant pressure being put on Trump by whatever remains of his connections within the mainstream GOP to do so. Whether he is seriously countenancing them is an open question, as he has not indicated strongly one way or another, from anything I’ve seen, whether this proposal would be on or off the table.

Matt Margolis wrote about this potential link-up a few days ago at PJ Media, a transparent attempt by the oligarch class to position one of their tools within a heartbeat of the presidency, should they not succeed in simply eliminating Trump entirely through lawfare or other means.

This awful idea needs to be taken off the table yesterday. There will be no negotiations on this matter as far as I and millions of other potential voters of his are concerned.

He needs to understand the consequences. Even in flirting with Nikki Haley for VP — if by no other means other than allowing the ambiguity to remain — he is playing with fire.

What Trump would be wise to do is call a press conference now and make it clear in no uncertain terms that Nikki Haley, nor any other RINO Deep State oligarch puppet hack, will get anywhere near a Trump White House. In fact, he needs to preemptively ban her from the premises and announce a Day 1 investigation into all her ill-gotten fortune amassed by peddling her influence in the service of funneling public money to defense contractors.

Not only is supporting such a creature as Nikki Haley morally reprehensible and therefore wrong in its own right, but it’s also electoral suicide.

Trump is going to need his base to come out in force on election day to win. All of them. With enthusiasm.

Independents are — at best — lukewarm on Trump. And this is before the ones who barely pay attention are treated to the incoming propaganda blitzkrieg of 2024.

Via Quinnipiac, November 15, 2023:

Republicans back Trump 96 - 2 percent and Democrats back Biden 94 - 4 percent. Independents are evenly split, with 44 percent supporting Biden and 44 percent supporting Trump.

In a three-person hypothetical 2024 general election matchup adding independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Trump receives 38 percent support, Biden receives 37 percent support, and Kennedy receives 21 percent support.

Trump’s base is not going to abide a Haley VP pick. It’s guaranteed to turn off enough of his base — a base which, again, he desperately needs to overcome the propaganda and election tampering that absolutely will happen — to mean the difference between potential victory and defeat.

If Trump listens to the worst influences whispering sweet nothings into his ear about how great of a pick Haley would be because of diversity box-checking or whatever, there isn’t enough cover in the world Trump’s allies in alternative media (his only ones in media) would be able to run to square that circle.

PJ Media has a relatively large reach. For anyone reading this with a line to the president: for the sake of his prospects, he needs to understand what the stakes are here. A Haley VP pick would all but guarantee defeat, and a large faction of his base would surely turn on him.
