Palin news never stops. Every month there are thousands of pieces written about a woman most of the writers in the MSM want to persuade you doesn’t matter at all. Methinks they all protest too much…but someone has to sift through them, pick the best, and put it all in perspective. — Your Loyal PalinTracker

Do we detect a note of glee? Even GOP activists are turning against Sarah Palin.
Ann Althouse is first to ask:
Remember when Sarah Palin was asked “What is the Bush Doctrine?” It was a painful, embarrassing episode for her. Here’s a question for producing new gotcha moments for selected politicians: What is the Obama doctrine?

Palin dishes on the 2000 mile Iron Dog competition: I think these guys are the toughest men on the planet. Husband Todd Palin came close to winning.
Ann Coulter: It would be a “step down” for Sarah Palin to run for president.

In yet another in the endless stream of sexual slurs from liberal men — not the Iron Dog variety — Chris Matthews promotes derogatory, sexual video making fun of Palin.
February 28
Lloyd Marcus: Sarah Palin: Even conservatives duped by liberal media branding:
The Left launched their “Sarah Palin is Stupid” campaign the next day after her incredible VP nomination acceptance speech. A woman, pretty, smart, witty, confident and bold with an ability to inspire and fire up the conservative base, Sarah Palin was the Left’s worst nightmare. They were livid. The only thing which could have made it worse would have been if Palin was black. The Left would have surely lost their minds. The clarion call went out,”Palin MUST be destroyed!”
Group wants Sarah Palin ignored — for one week:
An online petition declaring this week “Ignore Sarah Palin Week” has attracted more than 32,000 signatures. “We’ve tried debating her, arguing with her, boycotting her, voting against her, and yet…she keeps coming back. Much like a vampire or a nasty fungus,” reads the petition posted on Left Action.

Palin: Obama’s “appalling” turn on DOMA:
Former Guv says president “flip-flopped” in dropping defense of ’96 law in Tues. statement to National Organization for Marriage: “I have always believed that marriage is between one man and one woman. Like the majority of Americans, I support the Defense of Marriage Act and find it appalling that the Obama administration decided not to defend this federal law which was enacted with broad bipartisan support and signed into law by a Democrat president. It’s appalling, but not surprising that the President has flip-flopped on yet another issue from his stated position as a candidate . . .”
Palin rips SCOTUS ruling on anti-gay protesters:
Sarah Palin voiced disappointment with a Supreme Court decision Wednesday protecting the First Amendment rights of anti-gay protesters at military funerals. “Common sense & decency absent as wacko ‘church’ allowed hate msgs spewed@soldiers’ funerals but we can’t invoke God’s name in public square,” Palin tweeted.

Sarah Palin scheduled to visit Baldwin County for fundraiser:
POINT CLEAR, Alabama — 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will make her first Mobile Bay area visit May 3 when she addresses supporters of the Exceptional Foundation at a fundraiser at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear …. The foundation is being established to help special needs children and adults in Baldwin County ….
“This is something that is near and dear to her heart — children and adults with special needs — and that’s what brought her down here,” Callahan said. “We were thrilled. This is something that is really awesome.”
Media gotcha? Sarah Palin flip-flops?
Palin clarified her earlier statement concerning the ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court affirming the controversial Westboro Church’s right to protest funerals. “I wasn’t calling for any limit on free speech, and it’s a shame some folks tried to twist my comment in that way. I was simply pointing out the irony of an often selective interpretation of free speech rights,” Ms. Palin said Thursday.

NRA credits Sarah Palin for boost in female membership:
The National Rifle Association says it has Sarah Palin to thank for a 20 percent jump in female membership. Calling it the “Palin effect,” the NRA’s Diane Danielson told the Daily Mail that the former Alaska governor’s vocal advocacy of gun rights is helping the group teach “10,000 new women a year to shoot, and making more girls want to take up hunting.” […] “Firearm manufacturers are gearing their products towards women. They’re scaling down stocks, and shortening trigger-pull lengths for our shorter fingers,” Danielson told the Daily Mail. During a speech to NRA members last year, Palin said the only reason President Obama and Democratic lawmakers aren’t trying to limit gun ownership rights is the fear of a political backlash. “Don’t doubt for a minute that, if they thought they could get away with it, they would ban guns and ban ammunition and gut the Second Amendment,” Palin told the annual NRA gathering in North Carolina. She urged some 9,000 NRA members to “stop them in their tracks” and slammed critics who might dismiss her as an “NRA gun-nut chick.”
Tea Party 2012: Will Michele Bachmann steal Sarah Palin’s thunder?
March 5
Eminent historian Paul Johnson on Sarah Palin, the tea party, and ‘baddies’ from Napoleon to Gadhafi.
Pessimists, he points out, have been predicting America’s decline “since the 18th century.” But whenever things are looking bad, America “suddenly produces these wonderful things — like the tea party movement. That’s cheered me up no end. Because it’s done more for women in politics than anything else — all the feminists? Nuts! It’s brought a lot of very clever and quite young women into mainstream politics and got them elected. A very good little movement, that. I like it.” Then he deepens his voice for effect and adds: “And I like that lady — Sarah Palin. She’s great. I like the cut of her jib.” The former governor of Alaska, he says, “is in the good tradition of America, which this awful political correctness business goes against.” Plus: “She’s got courage. That’s very important in politics. You can have all the right ideas and the ability to express them. But if you haven’t got guts, if you haven’t got courage the way Margaret Thatcher had courage — and [Ronald] Reagan, come to think of it. Your last president had courage too — if you haven’t got courage, all the other virtues are no good at all. It’s the central virtue.”

Lee Benedict: Media simultaneously savaged Sarah Palin, protected Barack Obama.
Sarah Palin slams Gov. Chris Christie:
“He has no choice but to cut budgets because he’s broke, his state is broke,” Ms. Palin said. “What courage really is is, in the face of having a surplus, when you have an opportunity to spend spend spend other people’s money, that you still choose to rein in government,” the former governor added.
Palin not happy Tea Party candidates compromising.
Palin tells Obama to stop kowtowing to Mexican President Calderon:
Palin tells Obama to stop kowtowing to Mexican President Calderon. In a late-day interview on Fox News, Sarah Palin expressed her dismay at Barack Obama’s constantly slavish and deferential behavior towards Mexico’s Felipe Calderon. In an interview that touched briefly on border security and the problem of illegal aliens from Mexico, Palin also took exception to the blame-America attitude that the Mexican president always exhibits. Her comments were in reference to Calderon’s visit this past week, during which he continued his long-standing policy of blaming America for all of the problems that stem from inside of Mexico.

Sarah Palin speaking at Colorado Christian University this May:
Former Alaska Governor and Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin will keynote a military and veterans appreciation rally at Colorado Christian University on May 2…. The conservative firebrand will be joined by Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, a former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence who gained notoriety in 2008 for likening the War on Terror to a religious holy war.
Tickets will be sold for 25 dollars.
Earlier this year, the The Sharon K. Pacheco Foundation, a Denver-based non-profit, announced that Palin would be speaking at a similar event honoring veterans in Glendale. The organization canceled the event just days after its announcement, claiming that they received attacks and harsh criticism for hosting Palin.
Which means that: Sarah Palin to skip first GOP presidential debate.
March 8
Sarah Palin to speak at Lynchburg (VA) women’s conference — to be simulcast in 1000 churches:
The former Alaska governor will share her “personal testimony of faith” at the Extraordinary Women Conference, which will be held at the Vines Center on Oct. 7-8.
While Obama obambulated: Palin continues to push no-fly zone over Libya, though it would be another 9 days before the media would acknowledge the emergence of a Palin doctrine.
A must-read! The day Sarah Palin kneecapped feminism:
You may love Sarah Palin or you may hate her. You may admire her courage and values, as I do, but hope she does not run for president in 2012. However you feel about her, she has altered our cultural landscape, and inspired a formidable cadre of women entering politics: women whom conservative American cultural critic Kay Hymowitz identifies as “Palinite politicas” and “Mama Grizzlies.” … Hymowitz calls them Mama Grizzlies because they celebrate, rather than repudiate, their biological natures. Mama Grizzlies see men as different but complementary to women, and therefore as collaborators, not adversaries. Sarah Palin’s Down’s Syndrome-afflicted child and military-serving son — whom she speaks about proudly at public events — aren’t an anomaly in this circle of unapologetically maternal women. Minnesota congresswoman Michelle Bachmann, founder of the House Tea Party caucus, has nurtured 23 foster children over the years…. Feminists long have militated for more women to go into politics. Of course, as their visceral loathing of Sarah Palin demonstrates, it wasn’t “women”
they wanted to see running for office, it was feminists: politically correct clones of themselves who would understand that their commitment to women’s interests trumps all.
March 13
Snubbed: Sarah Palin left off Newsweek‘s “Women” list:
The current issue of Newsweek is dedicated to “150 Women Who Shake the World.’ The usual suspects are on the list — Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Nancy Pelosi, German Prime Minister Angela Merkel. Then there are several entertainers noted for their charity works — Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Shakira, Meryl Streep. There is one name noticeably absent — Sarah Palin.
Agree or disagree with Palin’s views, she is certainly a force in our national dialogue. The mere title of the piece warrants Palin’s inclusion on the list. She can’t open her mouth without the entire world “shaking.” Everything she says or does is closely watched and reported by the media ad nauseam. If she is not earth-shaking, who is?
The conservative establishment vs. Sarah Palin: A host of right-wing thinkers lash out at the Alaskan star, and she has reportedly angered Fox News boss Roger Ailes. Could this be the beginning of the end for Palin?
The right-wing war against Sarah Palin:
Palin is the furthest thing from a traditional candidate, so why would anyone expect her to behave like one? She may or may not run. But attempting to divine her plans by reading the tea leaves makes a lot less sense with Palin than it does with establishment figures like, say, Mitch Daniels or Haley Barbour. It should go without saying — shouldn’t it? — that if Palin decides to get in the race six months from now, she’ll hardly lack for name recognition and won’t have any problem raising money. She’s as viable as anybody, and more viable than most.
A lot of high-powered conservatives must agree with this assessment, because they’re expending an awful lot of energy urgently insisting that a Palin candidacy would be terrible for the movement. The latest example of Palin-bashing comes this morning in Politico, which has arrayed a murderer’s row of conservative intellectuals, from George Will to Charles Krauthammer to Pete Wehner to, um, Matt Labash* to scold and correct anyone who might harbor the heretical view that Palin has a right to seek her party’s nomination and might in fact bring energy and enthusiasm to what is shaping up as a torpid GOP field.
Look, I don’t understand all this [anti-Palin vitriol]. The problem is Obama! The Democrat party is destroying the FREAKING COUNTRY! And we’re sitting here sniping over…I’D VOTE FOR ELMER FUDD! if the Republicans nominated him, if Obama’s the Democrat…

Sarah’s Facebook: The $4-per-gallon president:
The evidence of the President’s anti-drilling mentality and his culpability in the high gas prices hurting Americans is there for all to see. The following is not even an exhaustive list [click Facebook header above for details]:
Exhibit A: His drilling moratorium. . . .
Exhibit B: His 2012 budget. . . . .
Exhibit C: His anti-drilling regulatory policies. .. . .
Taken altogether, it’s hard to deny that the Obama Administration is anti-drilling. The President may try to suggest that the rise in oil prices has nothing to do with him, but the American people won’t be fooled.
The state-controlled media went into overdrive to mock the opinion of oil-rich Alaska’s former governor. Why would she know anything?
From the ‘Bout-Time-Somebody-Said-Something-About-It Department: Sarah Palin trashes National Endowment for the Arts:
Television commentator and half-term Alaska governor Sarah Palin trashed the National Endowment for the Arts recently, describing the agency as “frivolous” in a Thursday interview on a Fox News talk show. “NPR, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, all those kind of frivolous things that government shouldn’t be in the business of funding with tax dollars — those should all be on the chopping block as we talk about the $14-trillion debt that we’re going to hand to our kids and our grandkids,” Palin told right-wing host Sean Hannity. “Yes, those are the type of things that for more than one reason need to be cut.”

Benyamin Korn, director of Jewish Americans for Sarah Palin: Palin Doctrine emerges as Arab League echoes her demarche on Libya:
The Palin Doctrine […] contrasts sharply with the foreign policy being conducted, if that is the word, by President Obama, who is perplexing not only the Arab world, to which he reached out in his Cairo speech at the start of his presidency, but even his own supporters in the liberal camp, and many in between, who are upset by what might be called his propensity for inaction. It’s an inaction that suggests the Arab League won’t be the only institution that might find itself surprised by the logic of the alert Alaskan.

Palin in Delhi calls India-US ties key to future.
Palin rips Obama energy policy as “social engineering”:
During her first foreign trip in 2011, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) slammed President Obama’s green-energy policy as a “social engineering” project that hurts the U.S. economy. Palin — a potential 2012 presidential candidate — said that she favors an “all of the above” energy plan that includes domestic oil drilling and nuclear power. Without mentioning it by name, she criticized the Obama administration for restricting domestic drilling and said that the president’s green jobs agenda is fatally flawed.

Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs: Palin, looking, sounding presidential in India:
The more the left hates her, the better you know she is. They destroy every effective voice on the right. It’s what they do. The Obama presidency is a nightmare. Pure chaos, domestically and internationally and it will take a giant to clean up after this hot mess.
I like everything she says about America, about our allies, about energy. She’s proud of us. We need proud. Has ever a president made us feel so bad about ourselves, about America, than Obama? Awful.
Coverage, videos galore of an important overseas trip the state-controlled media hoped no one would notice — at Atlas Shrugs.
Haaretz headline: Potential White House contender Sarah Palin lands in Israel: Palin, on her first trip to the country, plans to visit holy sites and meet Prime Minister Netanyahu; in a message on her website, Palin says she will discuss “key issues” facing Israel with Netanyahu.

Andrew Breitbart says White House “beneath” Sarah Palin:
“I think the presidency is beneath her,” the conservative media activist told GQ. “There’s more power in being Oprah Winfrey than in being Barack Obama. It would be my goal for Palin to become Oprah and be the ultimate kingmaker for 20-odd years.” If he had to choose, Breitbart said his dream 2012 ticket would feature Rep. Allen West of Florida and Michele Bachmann.
“If the media is out to destroy a person in the political realm — and it’s always a conservative Republican — then that person must be someone they fear greatly,” he said of Bachmann.

Sarah’s Facebook: Lamestream Media: Reload or White Flag?
More people in America probably know that Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a “dumb twat” than know she went to India and Israel. That’s the way the state-controlled media wants it. On her homecoming, Palin explained how we can determine what’s worth responding to and what is simply a distraction:
Friends, too often conservatives or Republicans in general come across as having the fighting instinct of sheep. I don’t…. The truth is always worth fighting for. Doing so isn’t whining or “playing the victim card”; it’s defending the truth in fairness to those who seek accurate information….
Two decades in politics have taught me that when it comes to picking battles, often it’s best to ignore the truly petty, ugly personal media shots because engaging in a counter argument with disreputable, intolerant people doesn’t vindicate me; it merely gives those people the attention they seek. It wastes my time and it distracts from what we should focus on.
We must always remember the big picture. The media has always been biased. Conservatives — and especially conservative women — have always been held to a different standard and attacked. This is nothing new. Lincoln was mocked and ridiculed. Reagan was called an amiable dunce, a dangerous warmonger, a rightwing fanatic, and the insult list goes on and on….
Let’s just acknowledge that commonsense conservatives must be stronger and work that much harder because of the obvious bias.
The Huffington Post? Palin scores on the world stage, does India and Israel in one stride:
If Sarah Palin should declare her candidacy for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, the past few days may be looked back at by political historians as an important marker. While pundits continue to dwell on the supposedly collapsing poll numbers for Palin and trumpet the erosion of her presidential ambitions, the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee was abroad, buttressing the one area seen as a major weakness in Palin’s ability to project herself as a national political leader, foreign policy. Palin was the keynote speaker at the India Today Conclave in New Delhi, an assembly of the most prominent Indian business leaders. Her speech dealt with her vision of America, with a major focus on energy independence and oil drilling, a possible key issue for a future Sarah Palin for President campaign.

Sarah Palin: (VIDEO)
“We’re not hearing from our president what is the end-game here,” Palin charged. “And with Gaddhafi still in power, if we’re not going to oust him via killing or capturing, then there is not an acceptable end-state.”
Palin also challenged what she called “inconsistencies” with the perceived message of the engagement, questioning why, if American troops were being sent to Libya on a humanitarian mission, they weren’t also being dispatched to places such as Darfur, North Korea or Syria.
Star Parker: Why liberals hate Thomas, Palin:
In days when slavery was legal in this country, all slaves did not willingly resign to the grim fate cast upon them.
The human spirit longs to be free. In some individuals, that longing beats so strong in their breast that they will take large personal risks, against great odds, to rebel against tyranny that has transformed their life into a tool for someone else’s will and whim. Slaves who had the temerity to run away from their plantation “home” paid dearly if they were caught and returned. Measures were taken to make them an example to others who might harbor similar thoughts about freedom.
Among those measures were brutal public beatings of rebels to which other slaves were forced to bear witness and digest with great clarity the price of rebelliousness. Such is the fate today of those uppity souls who choose to challenge the authority and legitimacy of our inexorably growing government plantation.
And now, a fitting end to March’s PalinTracker:
Neil Cavuto go MSM: If Palin, Bachmann and Trump are losers, why cover them?
