Hat tips to The Blaze and Townhall for this catch.
A clip from a recent Romney/Ryan rally has recently been played over and over at MSNBC highlighting what appears to be an embarrassing moment on the campaign trail for Governor Romney. Originally aired on Wednesday’s “Morning Joe,” the clip shows Paul Ryan introducing Romney as the MSNBC-added text appears on the screen proclaiming that the crowd is shouting “Ryan!” Romney gets the mic and asks the crowd to say “Romney/Ryan!” Joe Scarborough covers his face and grumbles out the words, “Sweet Jesus.”
Then the Blaze received a call from one of the rally attendees:
During Thursday‘s edition of TheBlaze TV’s “Pat & Stu,” one caller gives her account of the campaign rally.
“The crowd was yelling,” caller Sherry recounts, “the crowd was screaming ‘Romney! Romney!’ and Romney, being the gentleman [he is], we can‘t get in his head because he’s so stinking nice, he stopped us to add ‘Romney-Ryan.’”
Townhall’s Greg Hengler stitched the videos together so that you can see what MSNBC has done.
This hatchet job marks the second time that MSNBC has created a problem for Romney by doctoring video. The first happend in June, when Andrea Mitchell aired deceptively edited video made to depict Romney as out of touch about WaWa convenience stores.
Last week, Mitchell refused to air video of Barack Obama stating clearly that he supports “redistribution” of wealth. Mitchell and her network’s excuse was that the video had not been “verified.” The network eventually aired the video, but only after obtaining a longer version of the clip that they claimed helped put Obama’s comments into “context.”
Earlier this year, MSNBC’s parent NBC repeatedly aired deceptively edited clips of George Zimmerman’s 911 call, to make him appear to have racial motives in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
The network’s latest deception shows that there is some serious rot at NBC.

My scurrilous coment of the day–Only in Supreme Court-land is this not libel via malice. “Supreme Court-land. Where we know who butters our bread.”
Someone with deep pockets, like Romney, needs to sue media establishment that engage in this kind of bullshit.
I think he would win, because there’s prima facie evidence of malicious intent. And even if he doesn’t win, the discovery process would further expose and destroy the myth of non biased media. And the cost of litigation just might be the coup de grace that kills financially week media companies.
The legacy media has openly declared war on the public and conservative in particular and it’s high time to fight back instead of running like a flock of cowards.
Are you an attorney? If not, please stop throwing around things like “prima facie” and speculating on whether Mitt has a claim here.
I am a lawyer and “prima facie evidence of malicious intent” is absolutely correct. Go read New York Times v. Sullivan. Ryan is also right when he says “the discovery process would further expose and destroy the myth of non biased media.” If you can plausibly plead both falsity and malice, you can take discovery concerning the media company’s malice, and that means reading every single email, memo, talking points, JournoList post, etc. If Ryan is not a lawyer, he sure knows the law.
Also, it’s laughable that you think litigation costs would sink MSNBC. 96% or so of cases never see a courtroom anyway. What kind of damages would Romney seek? At most they’d get an injunction on the playback of the video, and maybe some punitive damages. At worst they’d be laughed out of a courtroom.
Your swearing, a violation of this site’s clearly posted rules, and your use of “week” instead of “weak” leads me to believe you aren’t an attorney.
You want to talk bias? You want to talk libel? The airwaves are flooded with garbage from Crossroads, and the allegations in those ads have a pretty loose relationship with facts. Fox News has a pretty loose relationship with facts. How about the Washington Examiner, AEI, Heritage Foundation, just off the top of my head? All you guys do is bemoan biased media, when there is just as much that slants your way (perhaps not as far as you’d like, but that’s another issue). Get over it. If you’re with Romney that people need to take responsibility for their lives, I’d stretch that to include taking responsibility for verifying the truth of what they watch or read or listen to.
“Your swearing, a violation of this site’s clearly posted rules, and your use of ‘week’ instead of ‘weak’…”
I’m always amused when someone goes for the “grammar attack” and end up using poor grammar in the exact same sentence…
I can’t tell if Ryan is Lawyer, a Lawyer wanna-be, or a Politician. He attacks the messenger, declares the use of specific words to be the domain of lawyers only without trying to offer why the word choice was incorrect, and attacks the conservative media as biased, but nowhere does he try to refute the claims in this article. His diversion can’t supress the truth of what NBC did here…
I’m trying to figure out where I made a grammatical error, but I can’t seem to spot it. Please, if I am mistaken, then clarify. I am guessing that you think I meant “You are” swearing when I typed “Your” swearing, the possessive form. I did intend the possessive, however, as I meant to attribute the swearing to him rather than point out that he did in fact swear.
I don’t argue for what MSNBC did. MSNBC is every bit as bad as Fox is. My other posts point out that both sides engage in this type of shady business, and I always have to laugh when the right plays the victim. It cuts both ways. Like another poster said, you guys dish it out, but you can’t take it.
I took issue with the above poster’s choice to throw around legal terminology because it’s nothing but an attempt to look intelligent. He uses “prima facie” in one sentence and then goes on to claim that Romney has a case and that someone ought to finally take it to the media. He claims that MSNBC (and by relation its parent company) will collapse if only someone will sue. He fails to consider that it’s unlikely that such a case would ever make it to trial anyway. Most cases settle. Even if the Romney campaign brought suit, any claims for damages will be purely speculative. What’s he going to sue for? He isn’t going to win or lose the election because of this video. Courts rarely award punitive damages. He’d probably get an injunction on the video, and MSNBC would settle that long before court anyway. My issue is not with the terminology; it’s with the fake erudition attached to it.
Ryan: Indicting someone for using legal terms is somewhat of an obfuscation. In addition, the legal costs do not accrue only when an issue goes to court. Many of the billed hours are derived from research, due dilligence (if I may be granted license to use a legal term), and miscellaneous items such as office use, printing, paralegal work, etc. Moreover, both of your points are rather made moot by the fact that everyone, and I mean everyone, knows that MSNBC IS A KNEEPAD SHILL FOR THE LEFT.
I have a better idea. Watch NBC for one hour. Take note of their advertisers. Then contact their advertisers directly and tell them because they advertise on a disreputible network, that you are no longer going to buy their product and will tell others not to buy them as well. Tell them that because they keep slimy company you have come to see them as slimy as well. Then keep your promise and spread the word.
There is a violation here, the FCC should investigate NBC not for the biasness but attempting to manipulate the election. The candidates are suppose to be heard verbatum and the listener is suppose to absorb what is said, when the media does not play the exact massage then there is collusion and fraud. Remember after Obama was elected in 2008, a group of reporters interviewed Obama voters and they responded in the negative about what they heard about McCain and Palin. Some of these people got their information from the comedy channel, SNL, and liberal actors. The truth is this administration can violate voting laws, use media manipulation, collusion, subterfuge because we have a weak congress.
Who owns msnbc and nbc?The answer to that will probably help to establish the methods they employ.
No one takes MSNBC seriously. I don’t even spend five seconds on watching these clowns.
Let’s remember the FOX NEWS videos of “Wisconsin” with the palm trees in the background.
Do you actually take MSNBC seriously as a source of information? If you do, I wan’t to know who your crack dealer is….
I stopped watching them years ago in the same way that other middle of the road Americans arrived at the same conclusion. As a result their viewership and their revenue are down. Eventually they will become a non voice and work themselves out of business because no one takes them seriously.
People are still going to vote because they are fed up with this administration. The economy sucks, they lie to us, they don’t tell us what’s going on, they put American’s lives at risk, and Washington is more polarized than it has ever been. No one wants Obamacare and our servicemen and women and embassy employees are in more danger than they have been in the past 30 years.
The polls are complete BS. Using 2008 models for polling is just another example of how messed up the mainstream media is. In the end it is actually going to backfire on the Dems and the media. Most educated voters know the difference and can tell what is going on. Guess what…those are the same ones that tend to vote republican and vote with a high degree of regularity. In simple terms this approach doesn’t affect the typical Republican voter. The same approach also angers the independent voter who sees through this garbage…and will break nearly universally for the challenger….and not the incumbant.
As a result, all this approach is going to do is discourage the Dem Base from turning out because they think their guy is ahead.
Wow Harry. How can we staunch the flow of blood from the brilliant riposte of the Fox video of Wisconsin with the palm trees? You’ve scored a ten out of ten on the dillweed meter.
The losers at MSNBC are the scum of the earth.
There they go again. Is anyone really surprised? The Democrats of the far left are adept at misdirection and outright mendacity and MSNBC is their mouthpiece.
It really makes you wonder if Joe McCarthy style investigations and hearings aren’t necessary, when Romney wins. We are being undermined by a subversive movement within our midst, and that one group that escapes all oversight or control by the citizenry.
‘course if Obama wins, it was nice to know you, Comrade…
One of the most sobering revelations to me was when the release of the Venona files and opening of the Soviet archives largely vindicated the core of McCarthy’s accusations.
Between indicting the “MSM,” various government agencies, the Democratic Party, and radical Islam in our midst, it would be a daunting but necessary task to clean house. Really daunting, and bound to be very ugly.
Read “Blacklisted by History” by M Stanton Evans if you want to understand what happened during Senator McCarthy’s investigations. Ann Coulter used the information in this Evans’s book as the basis for most of what she wrote in her much shorter and more popular book “Slander.”
A warning: “Blacklisted by History” may take a long time to read. Many of the people Evans mentions in his book were important during the period from roughly 1920 to 1960 but were unfamiliar to me. Also I had to put the book down frequently when I got angry about how often US foreign policy went wrong because the Truman and Eisenhower administrations ignored McCarthy’s discoveries and actively sought to hinder them. Much of Obama’s claims of Executive Privilege to prevent government employees from being questioned by Congress about the “Fast and Furious” operation follow the precedent of Truman and Eisenhower ordering State and Defense department personnel to refuse to answer McCarthy’s questions.
– girl. Let us know when Joe wants to talk about ALL in his years in Congress. Not just how much he owes to Newt.
It is amazing that there is not a single honest person at MSNBC that will stop that kind of dishonesty from happening.
And not a single person with a conscience who will apologize or make amends after being proved a liar.
Do you have the link to Fox New’s misrepresentations of all things liberal?
Go away lying little troll until you can show one example of what you claim.
I believe the current response to fascist pigs like you is ‘Proof or GTFO’.
At the rate FOX is drifting leftward the idea that FOX remains the only MSM voice of the right is no longer factual. I find FOX’s growing liberal slant even more tawdry because they have a grandfathered entitlement to right wing bias all the while attacking increasingly from the left. Chris Wallace has become the worst of the bunch, last Sunday he rubbed Paul Ryan’s nose in the media meme they were loosing big to Obama, and asked repeatedly about media bias in favor of Obama or against the Republicans. Not one second of the Walllace / Ryan interview was spent on any important issues, say the economy, or the inept handling of the middle east or Prez. Obama’s near constant campaigning and absentee tenure in the oval office. I’m going to stop watching FOX completely and start tuning into “Democracy NOW!” at least I’ll get to see what the enemy within is really up to!
Wallace has always been Left of center–sometimes so far left he falls off the logic cliff.
Sucks to be him, of course. I watch The Blaze–station 212 on Dish. More honest than all of them.
This is because they are fanatically involved in their own jihad against conservativism, as taught by their loser mentors in “journalism” school.
Remember again where journalists come from. They don’t know anything but they like to gossip and tell stories. Some of them can even read and write and some of those can read and write well.
But at the very foundation is the “rule of the dispossessed”. That is, those high-school misfits who decided, consciously, to go on the attack and plot revenge against the people who were good athletes, scholars, had money, whose parents had good jobs, what-have-you or even just against the kid who laughed at them when they slipped on the spilled ice-cream on the floor of the cafeteria.
They have been perpetually angry for decades and have been mentored by even more angry types who wanted to just party and be left alone and given money and place to live for free.
This is not new thinking. It has been around since the dawn of civilization. But as human society has changed, so has the way it deals with such non-productive types. They have, on occasion, found enclaves in which to cloister and stay safe from actually being required to do anything. But I ask you, how is hearing Debbie Blabbermouth Schulz any different than hearing some adolescent teen whining about why they got a “D” on their book report?
All the made up straw-men arguments, the incessant babble, the accusations of unfairness, racism, etc. The bottomless pit of excuses and anger. But never one time looking at the self; The person who is ultimately responsible for the anger and determining honestly if it’s warranted or not. And, productive versus vindictive ways of dealing with it.
This is not to say that all anger is unwarranted. Or that being vindictive is automatically a bad thing; Sometimes we have to stick up for ourselves and deck somebody. And sometimes, turnabout is fair play. But to live a life of perpetual anger is, as demonstrated, unhealthy, unproductive, self-defeating and also makes the owner very unpopular, regardless of the notion that all the socialists like to be around one-another. (no, they don’t)
But they have devoted their lives to fighting ghosts and the wind. Problem is, there’s so many of them doing it, they can actually get the less critically minded believing there actually are ghosts worth fighting.
If you reference a comment made during WW2 by a man named Joseph Goebbels discussing untrue statements it help you understand their mentality.A lie spoken enough times becomes “truth”.The most dangerous thing concerning lies is the real truth.Joseph Goebbels was a member of the NAZI SS.What does it say about an organization that follows that structure?
“Rot”? NBC’s lies helped to put George Zimmerman in the legal fight of his life, and it’s probably been ruined.
The MSM may yet help drag Obama across the finish line this November; if so, in both cases I think something like “Mission Accomplished” is the right description, not “rot”.
THE DEATH OF A FREE & UNBIASED PRESS:
An excerpt from Pat Caddell…a former ‘democratic” pollster ( an oxymoron ) who’s seen the light..
“I want to talk about this Libyan thing, because we crossed some lines here. It’s not about politics.
First of all we’ve had nine day of lies over what happened because they can’t dare say it’s a terrorist attack, and the press won’t push this. Yesterday there was not a single piece in The New York Times over the question of Libya.
Twenty American embassies, yesterday, were under attack. None of that is on the national news. None of it is being pressed in the papers. If a President of either party—I don’t care whether it was Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton or George Bush or Ronald Reagan or George H. W. Bush—had a terrorist incident, and got on an airplane after saying something, and flown off to a fundraiser in Las Vegas, they would have been crucified! It would have been—it should have been the equivalent, for Barack Obama, of George Bush’s “flying over Katrina” moment. But nothing was said at all, and nothing will be said.

The question is are the voters stupid enough to fall for the lies of the media and the Obama campaign.
Longish question. Short answer (I wrote all of this just to not have a one-word answer)… now wait for it.. wait for it.. we all know the answer….
YES.
This is so infuriating! The media has been biased my whole life and up until the 08 elections, they at least tried to hide it. Now they are out of control. I dont see how any of this stops. Even if Romney wins. The media realizes that there isnt anything anyone can do about it, without violating the first amendment.
Nothing we can do about it? Nonsense.
We can repeal the Eisenhower tax cuts on gross movie receipts and extend the tax to fees for broadcast on TV, DVD sales and rentals and downloads.
We can have the FCC put all TV broadcast spectrum up for auction every year. Maybe the same TV stations will win the auction, maybe not.
On a personal level record the companies that advertise on MSNBC, boycott their products and write them to let them know why you are doing it.
Hit them in the wallet where it really hurts.
Agreed. I have a fundamental disagreement with people who routinely say, “What can I do, I’m just one person, I have no power. I have no money.”
In the USA we, as individuals have tremendous power. One person, limited impact, 10 people, much wider impact, 1,000 people have overthrown governments. I make use of social media to speak about the horrors I have had access to in the Obama administration. Each of us have friends, people we work with, people we served in the military with, people who were in our fraternitys/sororitys. When it comes to effecting change, we are but the point of the spear….behind each of us are all the like minded people we know, love, and can speak to.
Too bad we don’t have the entire 47% video. You know they cut it off because he said something that destroyed their narrative.
Of course… not to mention the ObamaPhone woman who proves both his point and his understanding of the Democrat strategy for Nov.
Kind of reminds me of the “you didn’t build that”. Or the false work requirement add. You guys dish it out but you can’t take it.
You didn’t build this and the work requirement are true Obama blunders. All Obama and liberals do is lie. Calls Romney a felon. Biden says he’s going to raise social security taxes. Ads saying Romney killed some woman who still had insurance. Doctored videos. Made up gaffes. And on and on and on. Scurrilous lies that are beneath a president. All intended to distract from obamas pathetic record. The difference is you guys can’t handle the truth. We don’t like lying crooks.
The Context you say..I listened to the speech and Obama does the same thing all the time. He gives a few compliments then says what he really thinks of the unwashed masses .It is like his wife asks him if this dress makes her look fat. And Obama says “You are the most beautiful women I have ever seen.. your eyes are lovely. You skin is soft. And the dress makes you look like a blimp. But I’m here for you honey.” He is a failure. And if you want to keep living like you are now…just vote for him.. cheese is distributed on Wed and Fri.
It’s funny that we have eminations of talk about limiting freedom of speech from the Left with their fear of Islamists, all the while we have a leftist media that frequently and deliberately misreports the news. Maybe, the talk needs to shift to what Freedom of the Press actually entails. If their are reasonable limitations on speech, as there are, then why is the press allowed to try to affect the presidency by lying?
Yeah yeah, leftist media. What is Fox? It’s also America’s most-watched “news” network, isn’t it? Cry more.
Fox is biased to the Right. I’ll agree with that statement. That doesn’t mean that other media outlets aren’t biased toward the liberal agenda. You need to stop the attacks and actually answer the allegations if you care about being taken seriously on a forum such as this…
Two wrongs do not make a right. Correct both wrongs…
I’m not conceding a point that I don’t agree with. I don’t think that the rest of the media is slanted (I also don’t watch our media, however). Fox is right, MSNBC (and by extension, I’ll give you NBC) are left. CNN is a joke because it can’t take a side on anything, and in its attempts to be neutral it fails to report a single thing.
Fox still has huge viewer numbers, and Limbaugh and Savage are two of the most popular radio shows in the country every single day (both in the top three for number of listeners, I believe). There are other outlets for news and commentary, and one is free to pick whichever slant one wants. There are options for everyone. That’s why I can’t agree that all media but Fox leans left.
And TS, being taken seriously on whatever this site is (I got here from RCP) is the least of my concerns, I assure you.
Remember the context of the complaint. MSM television outlets for several decades were considered to be reliable sources of news. Citizens trusted these news programs to deliver unbiased and critical explanations for events around the world. Only as these news programs on the major channels became biased did there arise a need for alternative news programs, like FOX.
Your argument sounds a lot like the complaints you hear about black alternative magazines, television networks, and beauty pageants. Ebony, BET, and Black Ms. America did not spring up in a vacuum; instead, they are reactions to societal bias. Are you saying that blacks should not demand equal representation in the media because they have their own outlets?
You write “I don’t watch our media” then proceed to give your analysis of it. You have effectively taken yourself out of a conversation you were never qualified (by your own words) to enter in the first place
You write “I don’t watch our media” then proceed to give your analysis of it. You have effectively taken yourself out of a conversation you were never qualified (by your own words) to enter in the first place
Ryan; You are up against informed adults now. People have seen so many Media
Bias issues that unless you are of diminished capacity you don’t get it. To even say
fox is biased is a Bruten Fulmen…people are going to alternative media now because
the msnbc: the cbs’s: the abc”s, and Cnn’s of the world give your Boy a pass. Did you know
Solyndra alone would have impeached any Republican, but oh no you’ll let Kaiser who was
Obama’s 2008 Campaign advisor receive all his $ back when they went BK shortly after
O BOY in Sept 2009 does a Cameo appearance at that plant. Bush turned that loan down,
but O BOY expedited it and in less than three weeks Kaiser got his loan, then a few months
later they go BK…Kaiser is a Billionaire, and he got his money back. 535 million..Any Republican would
have been DAILY DAILY drilled out of office, but you keep thinking this is a level playing
field, and you are getting the straight skivy, oh I am a PRIMA FACIE Attorney, ha.PS there ramping
up that green energy thing and 80% of the recipients are Obama pig donors…no you’ll never hear
on the media this truth, but you wouldn’t know the truth if it hit you square in your Democratic kisser,
and by all your postings it must be enormous…sorry earlier someone made you INSECURE with your
spelling.

“People everywhere confuse what they read in newspapers with news.”
They don’t print “news”. As we know they print what they think will sway the public opinion to think positively of their clique.
Unfortunately for them, I subscribe to “The more you say it, the less likely I am to believe you.” as well as, “If you have to explain it, then it’s lost”.
And the socialists have been explaining it often an loudly for decades now and they have been repeating their lies and lost me also decades ago.
Being a critical thinker and objective is difficult because it forced the reader/listener to be self-critical. It forces me to examine my own hypocrisies while accusing others of same. It forces me to examine my own prejudices as well. The socialists do not temper their words that way…They just attack. They know no one will question them. That is, until the new media arrived like this website and so many others which do very well.
I do, however miss the days when TV reporting was just a couple of black and white guys with skinny ties reporting the events without the opinion-bits. When they started doing that, and the arrival of “news magazines” like “60 Minutes) (wasted), they gained power. I’ve always said that correspondents are just chicken-sh*t politician trouble-makers. And here we are in the 21st Century of the Roman Empire. And nothing has changed.
Cheaters still cheat.
Liars still lie.
Bribes.
Corruption.
Bedroom politics.
All of it. You name it.
However, in our still free society, we can address grievances against our government. The founders of this nation plotted a chart for navigation and the aforementioned types don’t like that reality-based fairness of opportunity and have worked slavishly to skew the outcomes of everything. But they use the same tired old arguments that were tired and old in 63AD Rome.
People never change.

Thank God (Jehovah)That we are not limited (yet) to what exists as the main stream media. We are learning the state run media has little to recommend itself as being factual.Lies,Lies,Lies!Remember Joseph Goebbels! Can you say NAZI-helped decimate the Jewish population?Or should we say the “undesirables”?
I’m not very smart. In fact, I’m so illiterate that I learn something EVERY TIME I come to this website. But, I have a question. It’s not a “big” question but something tells me there’s gold in it.
Is it true that about 60% to 70% of the population does not trust the media? And is it true that not only the newspapers as corporate entities but the writers and editors for them are corrupt? And is it true that as an industry they are ALL losing money and readership at a time when there are a lot of people wanting to know what the hell is going on?
It seems to me that if there was ONE newspaper out of the hundreds in the US that went for the truth; and if there was ONE writer or editor on that staff that had balls. It would be a WIN-WIN-WIN!
The newspaper would have increased sales, the writer/editor would win a Pulitzer and the public would get a readable paper.
Or am I stupid?
How many people visit THIS site alone that a newspaper wouldn’t want? How about a writer that would have one hell of a readership following. And the people would get at the truth.
But then again, these papers ARE losing money and expect to be baled out by the government AFTER Obama wins. Think of it. It did so well in investing in new energy companies that it could easily say “because of national security we’re going to support four or five newspapers across the country”.
Or am I stupid?
I don’t know.
That writer wouldn’t get a Pulitzer Prize because the distribution of those awards is done by the leftist media leaders. The Pulitzers are in the same category as the Nobel Peace Prize …worthless.
Some of the things to do are stop purchasing any of their output. Notify advertisers about your dislike of those papers/magazines/radio and TV stations and that you are not purchasing their products because they advertise on those media. We have to make it painful for the advertisers to either bankrupt those media or cause them to change. It may mean some inconveniences in your life, but we need to make it painful for the Lame stream media or else they win. I miss the special strawberries that one sponsored Rush, but when they sided with Sandra Fluke, I quit ordering all of their products.
There is….it’s called the Wall Street Journal, and it’s understandably the most respected and successful one left.
I’m not trying to start anything here, but I’ve been listening to this over and over with my headphones on and the volume all the way up. I am VERY convinced that I can hear people some people yelling “Ryan” and other yelling “Romney”. It was a big crowd. Maybe Romney heard people closer to him yelling “Romney”? The inflection in Romney’s voice hits the word “Ryan” harder than “Romney” which would imply that he is attempting to get the crowd to add “Ryan” to their chant. Also, Ryan’s body language, in my mind, more likely suggests that he is wanting Romney to take all the praise than anything else. Whatever the truth is (and I completely agree that MSNBC is utterly rotten to the core) I think it’s pretty clear that this story, in whatever form it ends up taking, has NOTHING TO FREAKING DO WITH ANYTHING AND IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME NO MATTER WHO REPORTS OR HOW THEY REPORT IT.
Since I was there, I can absolutely state that WE the audience were chanting “Romney, Romney”. This is a complete hack job by MSNBC to make Mitt Romney look bad.
So who should I believe this caller, who may very well be a campaign plant, or my lying ears.
Just turn off the silly media attempts to bend the truth. It doesn’t work. Vote for those who stand for the truth, and keep doing that. Encourage others to do the same. Never fail to do so.
Obama thinks that he will get a mandate if he wins the election. A vote for Romney, even in a state where he is bound to win is one more vote against Obama winning the popular vote. It’s not a waste.
Just keep voting, and promoting what is right and good. It’s the democratic way, and democracy works. Keep it up as long as you live. Sometimes you lose some small battles but keep trying to win the big ones. Don’t lose heart. The good guys do always win in the end because the bad guys are inherently selfish and self distructive, and have no patience what-so-ever. They are their worst enemies.
Have faith and carry on.
Fortunately almost no one watches MSNBC or the networks nightly news and yes over 60% don’t believe the MSM. The idea that someone could publish the truth is nearly impossible. Truth or facts are like eye witnesses of a car accident; the facts or truth will vary based on one’s prospective. Even statistics, polls, and accounting truths can be manipulated. Nonetheless it is still fair to say nearly all of the media will embellish, lie, or doctor a story to fit their agenda. Currently that agenda for most of the MSM is to get Obama re-elected, and to hell with the truth. Interestingly in another article I read it stated most people in 2009 admired Obama’s intellect and character. Truthfully after the last four years I have serious doubts about both. The facts don’t matter; this election is about the character, experience, ability, and values of the candidates. Frankly in my opinion Obama is deficient in all four of those qualities.
I shockingly agree with most of your post. You seem to be one of the few people who uses the acronym “MSM” who is actually sane.
That’s crap. The crowd was chanting Ryan’s name not Romney. It’s clear from the audio and in context is the only thing that makes sense. It’s an embarrassment for Romnwy, so the GOP Lie Machine has come out in full force. Get over it; you have a loser for a candidate that even his own running mate calls Stench.
Hey Eric, I hate to lay this out for you but the “Stench” name came from a piece of POLITICO satire. Just thought you might want to go to the original source.
Eric, I am truly sorry that you are a small-minded, greedy socialist. I say you are greedy because you obviously feel threatened by this country’s backlash against the “taker class” in our society, and are afraid that you will lose access to the government handouts that you did not earn and do not deserve. I say you are small-minded because you allow yourself to be guided by the MSM, which is clearly scripting a biased attack against Romney. Finally, I say you are a socialist because anyone who is not supporting the removal of Obama from office must truly desire to see the full transition of this country from a capitalist republic to a socialist oligarchy.
Since I was there I can absolutely state that you are WRONG. Get a clue, you are the loser. The crowd was indeed chanting “Romney”. And as the gracious man that he is, Mitt Romney asked the crowd to INCLUDE Ryan in the chant.
Of course, little man. That’s because Ryan had JUST SPOKEN.
And your toolhead friends on Mess-NBC tried to make something of it, to further the campaign of your darling.
But thank you for playing, laser-brain.
In Israel, a few lawyers were able to stop such libelous rantings by the Leftist press and various specific individuals regarding settlement issues. Where are the Republican lawyers who are willing to bring suit in our court system? Indeed, it is the Republican failure to pursue these matters legally that will be the death of a free press. Either lying and fabrication of evidence is going to die or we, the People will do so without a whimper.
Wow, imagine….
Everyone else here sees a pattern, right?
If we American citizens ever get an exectutive branch that is not the current manifestation of the American Communist Party, then perhaps we can reward NBC, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, TBN for their unflinching, dog-like devotion to Obama and his fellow wreckers. That reward would come from the periodic relicensing review process conducted by the FCC.
If there is cogent and compelling evidence that these networks engaged in slander, lies and other untruths in their broadcasts purposted to be News, their license to broadcast in any frequency should be terminated, and their allotted frequencies should be available for others to use.
The FCC can do that now, but like the rest of Washington, it is an apparatus of the state and it’s sole function is to promote the policies and directives of our current POTUS and his partners in crime.
No need for an FCC review. The review board will just wind up dominated by Democrat party hacks any way.
Simply auction off the broadcast TV spectrum every year. Sometimes the same stations will win the auction and get to stay on the air for one more year, sometimes they won’t and somebody else can have a TV station on that channel. In every case the broadcast TV stations will pay more for the privilege of staying in business. An interested group could pool pledges in order to bid up the auction prices just because even if they don’t win it costs the TV stations more.
MSNBC is not a free-standing entity, it is part of NBC Universal, which is owned by Comcast (51%) and GE (49%). Customers and shareholders of these corporations should let their opinions be known regarding the extreme level of corporate irresponsibility which is on display here.
It’s time to review broadcast licences.
Tomper: That is actually a very good and effective idea…file formal complaints with the FCC and they will be on record at license renewal time. Enough complaints, with valid data and specific incidents, can have an impact (especially since nobody ever sends complements). If there were 500 complaints on file about purposeful distortion of facts in broadcasts, and direct manipulation of video tapes, they could actually stand to lose their license.
The legal battle would get stockholder (and stockbroker) attention and could have more impact than you could imagine. Start a website and complaint campaign and you could surprise some folks.
MSNBC is a cable channel, not broadcast channel. I don’t believe the FCC has any jurisdiction over cable. Can the experts provide more info on who regulates the cable channels?
well, we have 1/2 of the country that is very easily manipulated. they worship and a man w/o any proper credentials, who gets people killed and blames others (fast & furious and the embassy debacle), destroys evidence, claims executive privilege when investigations get too close to the truth, tries to destroy our economy, wants our military toothless, prints money endlessly, and on and on.
the bloggers have it right. if you were trying to destroy this country from within, what would you do differently? but even now he has indicated his next approach. if he wins he plans to destroy us from without. i’m afraid of what that means for my family. i once took an oath to defend this country from all enemies, inside and outside. only if real Americans run from their oaths will we see what this bunch of commies (or whatever they are) fulfill their desires on us all.
i think even if we don’t prevail, those ‘intellectuals’ among the progressives won’t like the final solution. once in power, the commies in the late u.s.s.r., china, cuba, et. usually lined their intellectual base up against a wall and shot them, or chose indef. incarceration. thus the term, useful idiots showed its true meaning. of course, i seriously doubt things like feminist studies and the like would qualify as ‘intellectual’ type pursuits, even in today’s dumbed-down world. even so, they probably qualify as intellectuals in comparison to the average progressive.
Those in power will use the idiots until they are no longer useful. For example, I am a huge fan of Astronomical Physics. It’s a very tedious but very rewarding discipline. I have noted that many of the foremost names in the field are also conveniently avoiding things like global warming and the like. However, some of them, like Neil DeGrasse Tyson embrace such drivel. http://tinyurl.com/9rx36yn
So, when the socialists take over, he will remain useful until such time as he wakes up and realizes he has enabled a deadly regime. As always, it will be too late. They will send him to camp.
Sure, some are like that because they are chained to federal funding for research. (See related article on this site.) But history has noted that such people; Very intelligent, clear thinkers are only useful when doing the master’s work. Otherwise, they must be eliminated or they could spread the truth.
Can’t have that.
the video was actually accurate. the crowd was chanting “ryan” because he was just introduced. it was very clear that’s what they were screaming, ryan’s name. msnbc got it right and joe’s reaction was warranted.
WRONG! Stop spreading the lie. Ryan had just introduced Mitt Romney, not the other way around. We the audience were chaning “Romney” not “Ryan”. I was there, I should know. MSNBC is guilty as charged of attempting to smear Mitt Romney.
I wasn’t there, so I don’t know what happened. I do know that the sound was edited, you can hear the cuts. I’m not convinced by the sound on the second clip either.
What I am convinced by is the inflection in Mitt’s voice and Ryan’s body language. It’s clear that Mitt was trying to get Ryan’s name added to the chant. It may be that there were some people chanting Ryan, but if that’s the case I don’t believe that Mitt heard them over the chants of Romney. Listen to the way he makes his statement, and the emphasis he puts on his words, and you can see his true intent.
Is it just me, or is Ed Schultz really turning into a pig?
Show a nipple and get a huge fine.
Repeatedly edit film footage to foster a false premise and get a public finger wag and a private high five from the regulators.
You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but eventually the market will get to the truth which is why all these “news” outlets are in the tank.
Here is the deal. The media can lie all they want to and get Obama reelected, but what they cannot do is stop the collospe of the United States of America. No one can stop what will happen when Obama and his progressives bring the country down.
They cannot stop the reaction to total failure, so maybe we should embrace his reelection, hold strong and rebuild. That might be the best. Oh, and get ready the animals in the inner city to boggie when there is no more free stuff for them.
It doesn’t matter how they splice it, what comes through is that Romney is a very awkward man.
I don’t agree with you, but let’s address your premise on its merits from both sides of the election:
1. Romney can and does speak extemporaneously with eloquence and intelligence.
Obama’s speech if he can’t read from TOTUS is filled with ums, uhs, incoherence
and errors.
2. Romney’s 47% “gaffe” and his criticism of the Obama administration’s obsequy to Islam in the face of terrorist attacks on US Soil were merely inconvenient truths. Similar statements by Obama (bitter clingers, Special Olympics, knife to gunfight, get in their faces, We Won, back of the bus, typical white person, etc.) are invariably ugly opinions rooted not in fact in his view of himself as morally, physiclly, intellectually superior to everyone around him.
3. Romney’s qualifications for President are: MBA business, MBA law (honors); successful businessman; self-made millionaire through business; successful governor; successful management and turnaround of bankrupt Olympics; successful management and turnaround of troubled businesses.
Obama’s qualifications: JD, license surrendered due to misconduct/violation of ethics; Illinois state senator voted “present” EXCEPT when it came to voting for infanticide; US Senator from 2005-2008, voting “present” except for anything anti-Bush, pro-abortion, anti-Constitutional, or pro-spending, while showing up for work only 185 days on the job out of four years; millionaire through sales of “autobiographical” self-aggrandizing semi-fiction; four years of occupancy of the White House during which he presided over the Second Great Depression, 8-10.5% unemployment, increase in the Federal debt of 34% from 10.5T to 16.3T, 3 years without a Federal budget, skyrocketing health insurance, gasoline, utility and food costs, declination in national security both at home and abroad, first successful terrorist attacks on US Soil since 2001 (Ft. Hood, Benghazi), 1.5B in personal expenditures for himself, his family, and his political friends, $800B in stimulus and annual deficits of $1.3T funneled to his political connections in SEIU, Solyndra, Soros, UAW, to terrorist organizations such as Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, and for bread-and-circuses vote-purchasing schemes for the masses, the nuclear rise and increased aggression of regimes such as North Korea and Iran, as well as renewed contempt from Russia, brand new enemies among former allies (Egypt), and a plethora of new “frenemies” which were formerly allies: Israel, Poland, Germany, England, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., etc., etc.
But boy, is Obama a smooth and smarmy public speaker. It’s so nice to know that the electorate consists of people like you who value that quality above actual competence.
Romney seems akward because he has a natural tendency to be prudent. A prudent person who makes a personal commitment to be liked by a society that is generally less prudent will find themselves in positions such as this. Chanting is not prudent. That is not saying it is right or wrong, but it is not prudent. I know, because I am naturally prudent and I don’t chant. Sometimes chanting-esque behavior may be “appropriate”, like deafening cheer before a last play in a sporting event, but nevertheless, a prudent man will instinctively be aware of the mob mentality in effect. That’s Romney, I think. The liberal media preys off of conservative prudence, because they are working for those who enter at the wide gate. They want to take strength and make it weakness. They want to take ignorance and turn it into inspirational.
I think we just need to ignore MSNBC….maybe a few lawsuits for defamation wouldn’t hurt though.
Instead of the endless kvetching, how about actually DOING something about it? It’s one thing for a news outlet to unknowingly air a distorted video, quite another for it to do so intentionally.
From the FCC broadcasting guidelines:
Broadcast licensees may not intentionally distort the news: the FCC has stated that “rigging or slanting the news is a most heinous act against the public interest.” The Commission will investigate a station for news distortion if it receives documented evidence of such rigging or slanting, such as testimony or other documentation, from individuals with direct personal knowledge that a licensee or its management engaged in the intentional falsification of the news.
Get aggressive, for gosh sakes.
So now former Republican congressman Joe Scarborough is a liar. I’ve watched this clip several times and it’s very clear what happened and Romney looked like a klutz. The mere fact that so much energy is being expended on trying to deny a simple reality is evidence of the state things are in. I’m going with Joe on this one.
Tired of the leftist “narrative,” report the truth MSNBC!
Speaking of a devious, manipulative press (and those Politicians who are loved by them), has anyone caught the “free pass” given to CNN by this Administration? That is, the existence of Ambassador Steven’s personal diary in their possession, being used for their own news purposes.
Even though the Embassy was overrun, it’s still a secure Federal US facility. And in point of fact, it’s a crime scene. As well, it was clearly understood that the FBI was en route to investigate. However, reporters on site for CNN entered and corrupted a crime scene, materially interfered with an investigation, stole evidence from said crime scene, and are now allowed to use their illegally obtained documents as “news?”
Holy Moley.
While I was at first upset that CNN had traipsed through the “crime” scene, I now think that the discovery and its disclosure by CNN is the best thing that could have happened. Otherwise, Obama, Hillary, et al would have succeeded in covering up their own incompetence or even perfidy in those events, and would have been able to justify signing on to an international ban against “blasphemy against Islam”, which, in addition to beefing up Obama’s foreign policy credentials (not unlike the engineering and timing of the financial collapse in September 2008 to bolster his economic policy creds), was the ultimate goal just as Fast and Furious had as its ultimate goal the destruction of our Second Amendment rights.
Make no mistake: there is more of this to come if Obama wins: either through more unconstitutional power grabs a la Executive Orders and czars, illegal and ultimately treasonous activities to justify further ceding of our rights and sovereignty to the UN, and packing the Supreme Court and the lesser courts with more liberal, activist judges who will uphold anything and everything he and his stooges do.
Holy Moley, a “crime scene”, site of a terror attack on a US Consulate, is totally and completely unsecured. Valuable information just sitting on the ground for anyone to grab. I’m glad it was CNN doing the government’s job and not our enemies…
If this sort of thing is not illegal and therefore subject to jail time for whoever is responsible, it should be. No one should ever believe anything from MSNBC.
I’ll give you points for creativity at least, and for being fluent in New Speak. The crowd was clearly chanting Ryan’s name.
The people of this country are way ahead of the curve…
If you listen to the clip, the people are chanting Ryan. I don’t know what’s wrong with you republicans, but you all seem to have a difficulty accepting reality. The audio clip doesn’t lie, and in the clip, the people are chanting “Ryan.”
Dig your ears out. The audience is NOT chanting Ryan. I was there, I know the truth. The crowd was chanting “Romney”.
I’ve listened to the clip multiple times – the crowd is saying “ryan”.
Same here – I keep hearing Ryan and not Romney. I’ve played the C-SPAN clip over a dozen times now. Perhaps the MSNBC camera was in a different place than the C-SPAN camera and caught the sound more clearly.
Logically-speaking, it makes perfect sense that the crowd would have been chanting Ryan since Romney had JUST thanked him.
As I stated, I was there. I know what we were chanting. We were NOT chanting “Ryan”.
And the left fixates on Fox News. One network and they’re half crazy. It must be their inner Stalinist.
“The network’s latest deception shows that there is some serious rot at NBC.”
I wish the rot was only limited to NBC.
MSNBC and the rest of the mainstream media are not the only obstacles Romney and Ryan have to contend with. Don’t forget about the Dead Vote.
Read about the new poll out from the Pundit Pete Press Service (satire) to see why the Dead Vote could swing the election. I guarantee it will make you laugh.
http://punditpete.blogspot.com/2012/09/obama-up-by-14-in-key-states-as-new.html
You’re right–MSNBC and the rest of the mainstream media are not the only obstacles Romney and Ryan have to contend with. They also have to contend with their own political ineptitude and inability to run a coherent campaign.
Seems to me that even Fox News is becoming pro Obama. The might as well become “For Obama eXpress”.
Why does it seem that deliberate distortions, lies and obsessing over polls with questionable methodology have become the norm in this election? I think I have the answer.
I know that all the big media conglomerates want that cyber bill passed. They want the Internet controlled. Obama has been hinting at giving it to them through Executive privilege. The Executive order is written very broadly, which means it can be interpreted as needed by any bureaucrat.
Promised security is always the method used to take away freedom.
You know – listening to it several times, I still hear ‘Ryan’ as opposed to ‘Romney’. The MSNBC clip seems to be a bit ‘clearer’, but the unedited one still sounds to me like ‘Ryan’ – which would make sense since Romney had just thanked ‘Ryan’.
BTW – I’m as centrist as it gets. I’m not defending MSNBC, I just think it’s not the ‘smoking-gun’ that many of you are making it out to be.
So the people who were actually at the rally are all liars? Is that what you’re saying?
eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable. people remember what they want to remember. memories change based on a whole slew of factors. the clip doesn’t lie. memories do.
On the C-Span video you can clearly hear the people shouting Romney until Romney steps in and says Romney Ryan. But I suppose people will hear what they want to hear.
Well – I can hear the crowd chanting “Romney Romney” loud and clear, even on the frist NBC clip with their ‘insert’ reading ‘Ryan’ over it.
Sorry – but it’s obvious again that none are as deaf as those who do not want to hear.
If you listen carefully, you hear both “romney” and “ryan” chant, but the loudest chants are for ryan.
God, some of you people are real idiots – the second, “unedited” clip in that video is the one that has been tampered with, as anyone with a good set of headphones should be able to hear (there is a noticeable “blip” – a sure sign of an edit – and the audio quality changes from when Romney was talking to when the chanting starts). MSNBC did not edit the video.
The real question is, why is any major news organization focusing on such a detail in the first place?
Whether it’s true or false, the fact that MSNBC was focusing so minutely on such a totally irrelevant detail really does suggest a bias distortion.
it’s the conservatives that are making a big deal out of this. I wouldn’t even know about this if the conservatives didn’t mention it. The conservatives need it to keep up their fake mentra that the “MSM” is biased against them. In truth, it’s reality that’s biased against them. They simply don’t have the facts on their side.
If you would rather not know about news corruption then bury your head in the sand. That is, if you can find a spot of sand without a head already buried in it. People need to wake up and realize that almost everything that passes for news right now is agenda driven.
Well, at least we have education on our side. The word you are looking for is ‘mantra,’ not ‘mentra.’
The saving grace here is that this happened on BSNBC. So, what, maybe 23 people actually saw it?!
The idea that Joe Scarborough, a red state Republican, is the heart of a conspiracy against Mitt Romney, shows that the GOP might as well give it up this cycle. You sound as insnae as if progressive had alleged Alan Colmes was trying to take tdwon John Kerry in 2004.
The idea that Joe Scarborough, a red state Republican, is the heart of a conspiracy against Mitt Romney shows that the GOP might as well give it up this cycle. You sound as insane as if progressives had alleged Alan Colmes was trying to take down John Kerry in 2004.
Since the Democrats could not control the TEA PARTY they decided to destroyed it because they asked logical questions and demanded logical answers not fluff for the mindless masses. The Republicans tolerated them hoping to control/guide them along Republican lines but did not happen. The TEA PArty was standing up to become a third party, it was not fully framed as a political party but had many local chapters.
Look at how both major political parties have divided American citizens into different blocs and then tailored messages for them and set them against other Americans. It is the old divideand conquer statagy.
It is time that the TEA PARTY comes to aid of America and ask hard questions of both political parties and the MSM. Keep their feet to the fire andrequire clearandconcise answers with no buck passing or word parsing. The majority of the TEA Party were middle age to older adults who have seen life in this world and have held jobs were sweat was required. They have had to set up family budgets to cover food, shelter, health and other expenses. The politicians can do the same if, yes that damn word “if” again and live in the real world. As for setting family budgets and good entertaiment watch an movie “I Remember Mama” it showed how people lived when my Dad was a young boy. We need to get back to delayed gratification instead of instant gradification.
It’s pretty sad that this is all you guys have to get mad about. It’s not like this has any content that will have any effect on the election.
We all know MSNBC is awful. But to characterize this as an “attack” is a bit of a stretch. The campaign still has to get over Romney insulting 47% of the country. I’d say a clip of people allegedly chanting the VP’s name is the least of the GOP’s concerns. Stay mad.
Some of us dislike corruption, whether it is in the newsroom or the White House. Just one of the many reasons we are fighting to retire Obama.
Romney did not insult 47 present of the country. Romney told the truth and I think it has bee proven beyond dispute since this media-invented spin started. The people he was talking about will be hurt the most by Obama’s policies, particularly as the dollar is devalued.
The truth is that it is difficult to explain why Obama’s policies are destructive to people who rely on the government. When you rely on the government, of course you want to believe that the government cares. Obama’s policies are absolutely heartless because they doom people to a life of dependency.
I hope Romney makes this clear in the debates.
I have to disagree. He did insult 47% of the country. He insulted people who do work, but who don’t make enough to qualify to pay income tax. They pay other taxes, which he ignores. He lumps in the sick, the elderly, retirees, and veterans. He says that they need to take responsibility for their lives. The implicit assumption is that everyone in the 47% is a no-good slob. In reality, some people are too sick to work, and some have earned a retirement or medical care because they paid into it, and some are veterans who would probably love to be working if only they could adjust to civilian life again (or, in some cases, had full use of their body). He is writing off people who legitimately can’t help themselves. Even worse, he’s writing off people who work every single day and don’t make enough to pay income taxes.
Nah, he just insulted scum like you, Ryan.
The truth is, it’s impossible to insult crap like you, and the rest of us, the 53% that actually work for a living, don’t care if you fascist creeps got your feelings hurt or not.
I am 62, white, and live in Ohio and this state is going to vote Obama regardless of how the radio right wing talkers and Fox News report that the election is close. Romney lost this state when he came out against the auto bailout and for state issue 2. The auto industry and related industries are vital to the economy of Ohio and had they collapsed, the unemployment rate in Ohio would be higher than the national average rather than below the national average. His support of state issue 2 (which would have reduced the protection of state employees be they firefighters, police, teachers, or EMTs) was soundly defeated. Combine that with his 47% statement of his feelings towards the less fortunate in our nation and his use of off shore accounts translates into someone who is not of presidential material. Add in Ryan’s budget plan, which even some national Republicans reject and especially the component which turns Medicare into a voucher program, this explains why Romney is behind in nearly every demographic group except for the Tea Party.
Dear steven, thank you for telling everyone that you are 62 years old and that you are white. That bit of biographical data is extremely important when judging the merits of a poster’s logic and rhetoric.
So, steven, I take it you are not voting for Romney. Your position is that Romney “is not of presidential material” because he is against socializing the auto industry, because he wants to curb the unsustainable drain on the economy by government employees, because of his realistic assessment that a large percentage of our population wants the government to enable them to live beyond their means (Obama phones–are you kidding me?), and … because of … “his use of off shore accounts.”
Did I get that right, steven? Well, steven, since we are throwing around opinions, I’ll give you mine: It’s dumb people like you that got us into this mess in the first place. Thanks for nothing, you worthless parasite.
Dear ‘Steven’,
Let us suppose for a brief second that you are not a lying pathetic traitor.
If, for a brief second, Ohio actually honestly votes for one of the most incompetant and possibly treasonous ‘President’ in this countries’ history, then you have made the case to revoke the Ohio’s statehood and make them a territory again.
Caller “Sherry” provides clear evidence that MSNBC manipulated the video. Um ok…. Was there only one video camera at a Presidential campaign event? Find alternate video and settle the issue.
It’s becoming abundantly clear that all Obama can run on in this election are bogus claims that Republicans are racists, that Romney is rich, and that Romney made a couple of supposed gaffes. That’s it. That’s the core of Obama’s campaign. Those same things just get repeated over & over.
And when you think about it, it’s pretty darn weak & desperate–bordering on pathetic.
What’s pathetic is Romney’s campaign. Make the 1988 Dukakis campaign look good.
The MSM has both of Romney’s hands tied up behind his own back, and you have the gall to blame Romney for not putting up a proper fight? Have you no shame, troll?
The MSM did not force Romney to dismiss 47% of Americans or run on a platform completely void of details. The MSM didn’t force Romney to pick a running mate whose plan for the economy and medicare are highly unpopular. Romney did these things to himself.
Wake up, whoever you are! You are living in a socialist nightmare!
MNSBC: Unprofessionalism and lying for Democrats and social justice!
Ilistened to that several times and cannot tell if they are cheering “ryan” or “romney”
Also- read the conservative posts here- so much anger. What other far right group was known for anger- distrust of other religous groups and ethnic groups- jingoism- blind patriotism- and a never ending lust for war…
Hhmmm
What group…with what famous leader- neigh…furher
Its on the tip of my tongue
Oh yeah the billionaire backed Americans for prosperity and Freedom works which bankrolls the astro turf tea party and provides recruitment and logistical support for the same
Still reading comments- my god you far right whackos are foaming at the mouth- you need some kind of outlet- like this comment board- to scream OBAMA BAD! OBAMA BAD!
NEWS FOR ALL OF YOU: the crash happened under Bush-
Obama has never had a super majority in the senate
The republicans have used the philbuster more than any congress in history
They even signed a pledge not to comprimise
The costly policies of Bush continue to add to the deficit (2 WARS AND A TAX CUT for millionairs)
TARP was signed by Bush
You say you want the government off your back- except for hispanics- SHOW ME YOUR PAPERS
you say you distrust government power- yet Bush TORTURED people (the nazis called it enhanced interogation as well)
You say that you want government out of health care but you support laws that require unnecesary trans vaginal ultrasound probes and laws that force doctors to lie to women
You say you want government out of your private life but the Republicans use the gov to keep gays in the closet
You say you want to maintain religous freedom but you throw a fit when muslims want to build a mosque
You say you want to cut the deficit but you cant stop declaring war on brown people and lining defense contractor pockets with tax dollars
Wow
There is the platform that Obama runs on
Kind of makes the tea party look like jack arses
The crash happened under Pelosi/Reid/Frank/Dodd.
One last reality check for you right wing nut jobs
Evolution and global warming are established scientific facts
Mars is warming. Earth’s natural cycle of warming isn’t historically noteworthy and isn’t caused by man burning fossil fuels. Google “Burt Rutan AGW PowerPoint”
Evolution is correct. That means humans have genetic bases for much of their behavior and characteristics. Liberals simultaneously believe there’s no such thing as innate, genetic differences in intelligence but at the same time believe homosexuality is innate and immutable. And some animals are more equal to others.
It is you liberals who are living in a fantasy world. The Gods of the Copybook Headings will surely bring down their terror and slaughter on you.
It is evident to anyone who has a brain and cares about freedom of speech, of which the press is a crucial party, that the main stream media has been corrupted. They are no longer biased, they are now corrupt organizations that are threatening freedom of speech to insure “their” candidate gets elected. This article points out not bias but corruption. A Russian state controlled media could not have done a better job the MSNBC did in reporting this lie. Our freedom of speech is at stake here and the press is trying to suppress conservative views and conservative candidates. I have not read ONE story in months from the main stream media that reported Romney’s position on an issue. But I have read MANY twisted articles that took Obama’s failures of late (and there are many) and tried to make it Romney’s fault or make Romney look bad. We have a first amendment crisis here and ironically it is our “free press” that is dangerously undermining it. Our media is no longer biased, but now are corrupt organizations. We need press reform. This has to stop before the press undermines press freedoms.
Firstly, this MSNBC “lie” isn’t really a lie after all, since if you listen to the clip, the crowd is chanting “ryan”. Secondly, this is nothing compared to what goes on at Fox news on a daily basis. Your opinions have no merit.
Point out, and link to, a similar incident occurring at Fox News. Otherwise, STFU.
Nail the f**kers for making illegal and un-reported campaign contributions to the Democratic Party. And put their asses in jail.
Dear ken (posts 56-58),
I laughed when I read your first post, because half the responses to this article are trolls. All the ‘conservative anger’ you are hearing is probably the frothing at the mouth of your fellow trolls.
I skimmed your second post, saw where you trotted out the tired old ‘Bush is evil’ attack, and rolled my eyes. I pity you, ken, I really do. Who knew that communist, free love, drugged up hippies could harbor such seething, venomous rage for their fellow man. Stay classy, ken!
I read your third post and laughed so hard I woke my children up from their afternoon nap. Go back and read what you wrote, ken, then look up the meaning of irony, then consider how calling conservatives ‘nut jobs’ and supporting global warming in the same sentence can be so deliciously funny.
lol–coming from the guy who thinks there’s some ‘liberal conspiracy’ amongst all the world’s scientists and a “liberal conspiracy” amongst all the media, and a “liberal conspiracy” amongst all the pollsters, etc, etc……um yea. And what color are the unicorns in the world that you live in?
Dear whoever you are, it is both understandable and pitiable that you are so far unhinged from reality. You have simply spent too much time trying to justify the lies being fed to you. My suggestion: go outside and get some fresh air. It might do you some good!
says the guy whose party is now the party of cognitive dissonance.
Pater, Thank you for you calm even tone refuting these idiots.
So the GOP picks the worst candidate in about 25 years and then runs the worst campaign since Bob Dole and blames it’s troubles on a third rate TV cable network watched by a tiny handful of the electorate.
Put on your big girl pants and stop crying like a bunch of 3rd graders!
Your point is moot. I am afraid we will all be crying (even suckers like you) if Romney loses–Obama is that bad.
No surprises here. Everyone should already know that MSNBC is a shameless propaganda arm of the Democrat party. And to think that they have the temerity to complain about Fox News. Anyone who looks to MSNBC or even its parent (NBC) for fair reporting is either stupid or already corrupt–of course, the same can be said of ABC, CBS, the New York Times, and a bunch of other media outlets. It’s no wonder that more than 60% of Americans no longer trust the media (Gallup Poll).
MSNBC does not have to waste its time in trying to bring down Romney. He is doing a good job of that all by himself. Remember when the Obama campaign called him a tax cheat, a felon and an accessory to murder and Romney’s response was that he was “dissapointed.” That is when I decided that this guy was a wimp.
Jeepers! The Media Matters grunts are out in force today. Thankfully, we don’t to answer them because they offer no proof for their whoppers; no links, no alternate videos of the event, no bibliography, nada. The burden of proof is on the accuser, and we Right-thinkers know how to furnish proof. Not to toot my own horn (OK, maybe a little), but my latest blog has links up the wazoo to prove my point that the Old Media is a 3rd column. creamsweetener.blogspot.com.
The time to thread the needle is past. Mitt needs to call out the Democrats with bylines and name them as the opposition party.
The only way to solve the NBC problem: always refer them to as the Comcast Network.
Unlike GE, Comcast is absolutely dependent upon normal American consumers for most of its revenue.
If the typical Comcast customer ever wakes up to the fact that he/she is bankrolling Matthews, Sharpton and the rest of the sleaze bags …
Obamas- ” they keep clinging to their guns and their religion” should have been a BIG wakeup call-that should be replayed over and over
I think that the public should be the ones to express their objection against this type of one sided alteration of the news, expecilly when it will affect all of us. It should be the responsibility of the public as a whole to object and counter this type of news alteration by what ever means they deem possible.
You can be a Conservative based on your beliefs.
You are only a Patriot however, based on your _actions_.
What actions have you taken, this year, to be a Patriot?

Engaging in lots of conversations in day to day life. Encouraging every one to do more than they have in the past, whatever their level.
Political/conservative bumper stickers on my car. Signs in my yard.
Next weekend I am getting on a bus and spending my entire weekend walking precincts for Mitt Romney in another (battleground) state. I hope to devote two more weekends prior to the election.
Everything I have mentioned here, with the exception of a few one time donations, and a few signs in my yard in 2008, are brand new for me since 2010. I admit to having been asleep for decades, and I am trying to make up for lost time.
We can’t sit and lament that “someone needs to do something”. WE are the someones. WE get to be the persons doing something. In that process we become real live Patriots.
I don’t have many good things to say about the left, but I will begrudge them this. They worked hard. They didn’t just sit around and whine about not having tyrannical power to dictate to us how we should run our lives. They went out and fought for it, tooth and nail, at every school board meeting, every newspaper column, every snarky and self-congratulatory personal conversation, every election, every bumper sticker, every sneaky insertion into school curriculums, every self-loathing Hollywood movie, every stolen vote and fraudulent registration, every corrupt back-door deal union arrangement, and every compromised MSM journalist. They are tireless, and they won’t back down simply because we shine a light on them and say “I see you, and I know you are doing unethical things!” They have to be stopped, they have to actually be prevented from having power over us. They will not give it up simply because we have made our concerns apparent. Our best course of action is to wake up our fellow citizens who are asleep (people like I was), and get them to vote at a minimum, and even better get them involved too.
MSNBC is going to get what’s coming to them, soon. How these rats continue to exist is beyond me.
MSNBC’s playbook comes straight from Fox News. The only way this gets fixed is if people are willing to hold everyone to a high standard, instead of just complaining when it happens to “their guy.”
Crawl back under your bridge, troll.
