End of Jewish Liberalism in Sight?

Well, not really.

But according to a new poll 7% of the Florida Jewish vote has deserted Obama compared to 2008. That doesn’t seem like a lot but remember The Pajama Game: “Seven and a half cents doesn’t mean a helluva lot/ Seven and a half cents doesn’t mean a thing/ But give it to me every hour…”

Or as the poll puts it: A 7% drop in the Jewish vote likely represents over 50,000 votes in a state that the Republicans won in 2000 by fewer than 600 votes.

Hmmm… if you think that’s worth contemplating, how about this? In twenty years or so, the Jewish vote will likely be conservative. Orthodox Jews vote conservative. They’re multiplying. Secular Jews aren’t.
