Sorry, Samuel L., But We’re Still Here — and Other Stories Around and Outside the Convention
Actor Samuel L. Jackson is upset that the thousands of Republicans and journalists who have gathered in Tampa for the RNC are still alive.
Jackson said in a profanity-filled tweet that he was “not understanding God’s plan” given the fact that the storm was not disrupting the Republican gathering.
Unfair s—,” the Oscar-nominated actor known for his colorful language said on Twitter.
“GOP spared by Isaac! NOLA prolly f—– again!”
Stay classy, Sam. But I don’t think I’ll continue seeing the movies of someone who wishes I’d drowned in a storm.
—
An aide to MA Democratic Senate candidate and fake Indian Elizabeth Warren went on the warpath against a Republican cameraman who was tracking her.
—
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, racist, really has no business being on TV anymore.
—
Buzz at the RNC: Who will be the “surprise speaker” on Thursday night? There are some big names among the GOP who don’t yet have speaking roles in Tampa. One slot has been left for Thursday and listed as TBD. Who will get that slot?
—
With Isaac bearing down on the Gulf Coast, let’s keep the people there in our hearts and prayers today.

I stopped at McDonald’s for coffee this morning and had to listen to a rather loud conversation at a nearby table.
Those sitting at the table were claiming that it was a racist plot and that the government was using the antennas up in Alaska to steer Issac as they had steered Katrina away from white people and to kill as many black people as possible.
I didn’t try to point out to them that the current president is Obama not George Bush.
You should have gone to Chick-fil-A. You might have heard more rational conversations.
Notice how so many black leftists (others too) feel comfortable coming out of the closet with their notions of ‘justice’ – killing whites, most especially conservatives.Ditto the Black Panthers, unquestionably domestic terrorists!!
It is totally lost upon them that the Racialist-in-Chief has unleashed the most divisive body politic since the Civil War – and THAT is saying a lot!
As to Jackson, and all the rest of their gang, who made millions under the capitalist system – may they lose everything, and drown in their own vile vomit.
A good comeuppance would be to mandate the hypocrites to read some of my blog commentary -http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/07/30/the-racialist-potus-seeks-transformation-via-raced-based-classroom-edicts-say-it-aint-so-commentary-by-adina-kutnicki/
totally lost upon them, they’re wallowing in and acting out their full knowledge of Obama’s incitement.
Can we add muslims to the list? To kill as many as possible that is..
You all know GW is at the controls of the weather machine in Crawford.. he designed it himself.. you know how stupid he is.. The world’s stupidest genius. Just like Jackson, the world’s stupidest big mouth.
Bryan – You wrote: “Stay classy, Sam. But I don’t think I’ll continue seeing the movies of someone who wishes I’d drowned in a storm.” Having discovered some time ago the political stupidity of most (but not all) Hollywood-types I’ve simply stopped going to movies. They are not going to get my bucks to peddle their stupidity.
May Jackson was using absurdity to point out absurdity. Hmmm?
Gah! MAYBE!
Just who the $#@% does this @#$ think he is to be $*#%%ing out this idea that God should be targeting the GOP?
F#$%ing &*%$!!!!
I got news for you. God thinks you’re a %$#^ing BLEEEEEEEPPPPPPP……!!!!!
And so do I.
(Stated in my best Samuel L. Jackson impersonation….lol)
“Jackson said in a profanity-filled tweet that he was “not understanding God’s plan”
Surprising. Doesn’t Jackson think he IS God? Did he not say “Ye shall know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee! [blam! blam! pow!...]“?
Oh, right. His best BMF lines were written by others!
Hehe…maybe I should go to Hollyweird as a writer! It’s not like it would take THAT much talent!
In his world the City of Tampa is acceptable collateral damage to hurt a political party. Then he’s shocked, SHOCKED!, people in the actual path of the storm, preparing for the worst, find it offensive.
What is it Herm Edwards always says?
Something like “Don’t click submit!” Seriously.
Additionally, the bureaucrats in chawge up day in N’awlins ain’t payin’ the stome no mind. In fact, no mandatory evacuation has been announced, yet these same bureaucrats are saying that the storm surge could likely top the levees again.
Shades of Nagin’s incompetency reign again and I think they’re actually hoping for a redeux of Katrina, only…if that’s the case, it’s another typical fool’s run at the republicans since the entire administration at the highest levels is all fellow-travelers in the socialist camp.
@Tolbert #1, I had been wondering if there were people who still actually believed that hurricanes can be steered. I guess such people live very odd lives.
I didn’t go see the Avengers movie precisely for this reason. If it has Sam L. “I hate white people” Jackson in it I don’t watch it.
Play the “Capitalist Card” On Him . As he becomes “Unprofitable merchandice” in Hollywoods ” for sale” section.. We will only see him on re-runs..
Check Drudge. Ellen Barkin weighs in with a death wish for Republicans.
I saw that! She tried to disavow it by stating it was a “retweet”. I don’t use twitter so I am assuming a ‘retweet’ is similar to a ‘share’ on face book? If so, she still made it clear she agreed.
Ellen Barkin, another Hollywood-bourgeoisie limousine Illiberal boob. Knock me over with a feather.
‘Oddly’ supposed Liberal’s are ANYTHING BUT Liberal if differing mind’s aren’t in lock-step with theirs.
Not to mention Barkin’s original tweet is HER utopia.
- Wishing harm upon living people who disagree with her abortion stance.. how very draconian of her!
- Proven to be horrible government-controlled public education IS supposedly ‘excellent’ in her brain trust.
- I won’t go into the ‘anti-woman’ nonsense.
- ‘Xenophobic’ – hasn’t this woman acknowledged the MILLIONS of, ‘other than Anglo’ elected representatives, government employee’s in Conservative districts? Apparently not.
- ‘Gay bashing’ – CA’s 2008 Proposition 8 Bill didn’t come to fruition due to.. Black and Latino voters! Bwahahaha
- ‘Racist’ – Hmph. The Conservative men and women with Black, Indian, Asians, Latino lineage in a myriad of government, private sector leadership positions, not to mention the aforementioned speaking at the RNC negate Barkin’s idiocy.
Sounds to me like the kind of thing I would come up with if I was drunk and pissed off… But then the left?, who knows, maybe he is serious. The left has been talking to itself so much lately that there is, you know, positive feedback.
Well he just should have stopped after “I don’t understand God”.
That I can believe.
Financially supporting an industry and a class of people that openly wish for the destruction of your faith, values, nation and person, is a bit of a death wish in itself. After one too many of these displays of contempt for everything I and my nation stand for, we started boycotting Hollywood three years ago. Oh, we still see movies. Lots! We buy bootleg.
Every now and then we will support a decent movie like Roger L. Simon’s movie story in “A Better Life.” But this is rare. I encourage others to follow our example.
Well, better late than never.
Welcome to the non-hypocrite crowd.
Those who financially support these people – yes including musicians – while complaining about their politics are hypocrites.
Also, I find it interesting that people on the far Left seem to adopt the anti-scientific view Pat Robertson used to adopt: that God personally steers storms into people he doesn’t like.
Never mind high pressure, water temps, steering currents, or physics and chemistry generally.
Jackson’s comments pale in comparison to Ellen Barkin’s wishes. Why is it the liberal whacko’s try to pass themselves off as caring and compassionate people when all you hear from them is hatred? It must be an inherited genetic regressive mutation.
Remember, in the liberal’s world it’s OK to hate the “Haters.” In fact, you aren’t really allowed to hate anyone else. The more you hate, the more “passionate” you are about your liberalism. So extreme, over-the-top pronouncements are actually good.
The plan seems pretty obvious to me: God doesn’t intervene in political matters. That way what we end up with is our own @#$!! fault.
Actually Sam, the Sun is shining now, and with the breeze, it is a pretty pleasant day outside here in Tampa. We are expecting a little afternoon rain, but the next several days will be Chamber of Commerce weather, at least for August.
At Mass on Sunday morning, we prayed that the storm would weaken and that those in harm’s way would be protected. And weather reports are telling us that dry air is keeping Isaac from strengthening to more than a minimal hurricane.
It will not be pleasant for NOLA, but no matter what the MSM say, this storm is no Katrina.
Sam, I don’t pretend to know God’s plan either; however, possibly God responds more favorably to a humble prayer request, than to a hateful expletive filled tweet. Just sayin.
The storm may be no Katrina, but you can tell from their tone that the MSM would LIKE it to be another Katrina. No, they don’t actually want people to get hurt. But they’d love something big to overshadow the RNC so they don’t have to write about it. Well, unless they can frame the story as “Heartless Republicans Play Politics While Poor Black People in NOL Suffer!”
Rush even played a sound-bite yesterday about pundits postulating how the mood at the RNC would have to change if the storm made landfall in NO. I suppose that it’s absolutely necessary for republican racists to pay homage to the “black comm-YOON-it-TAY” every waking hour. Even if it’s just merely imagined that something bad might happen.
It’s sickening.
Oh yes, the MSM is salivating – “and ON the anniversary? What great luck!” they must be thinking. They are doing all they can to keep New Orleans in the headlines. I’m sure people working behind the scenes are excited thinking up the best catchphrase to blaze across the screen behind Brian Williams.
Remember when Laura Ingraham said “Shut up and sing”? Good lesson for those in entertainment. Just can’t watch some of these Hollywood Lefties who spew nonsensical hatred. Samuel Jackson and Ellen Barkin just made my “do not watch” list.
Besides, does Jackson know the Republican Party was founded by abolitionists to end slavery while the Democrats maintained that terrible injustice? Does Jackson know slavery was abolished in the “States then in rebellion” in 1863 by our first Repulican President, Abe Lincoln?
Or is Sam Jackson ignorant of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to our Constitution, all Republican initiatives that abolished slavery alltogether in our nation, made all former slaves unquestionably US citizens with equal rights and guaranteed voting rights…all opposed by Democrats?
Someone should remind Jackson that President Grant, our second Republican president, imposed the Reconstruction on the South to enforce rights of freedmen and protect their rights. Republicans in Congress later took action against the KKK.
And within our lifetimes, Republican President Dwight Eisenhower sent troops to the South to enforce school integration…and President Lynden Johnson had to rely on Republicans in Congress solidly supporting the Civil Rights Act even when Johnson’s Democrats did their best to kill that legislation.
Maybe Jackson has been too busy pretending to be the characters he portrays to learn about American history…
Joseph Rush Wills, II: You asked: “Or is Sam Jackson ignorant of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to our Constitution, all Republican initiatives that abolished slavery alltogether in our nation, made all former slaves unquestionably US citizens with equal rights and guaranteed voting rights…all opposed by Democrats?” Short answer – Yes, he is ignorant; and so are 90% of Afro-Americans who have been bought off by welfare handouts, and consequently, have become one of the more dysfunctional groups in America today. (Welfare is a negative-sum game – both the recipient and the taxpayer are worse off by its presence.)
But they don’t.
And even when they do, much of their music is diatribe against all that is good.
Those of you who continue to support these people while saying, “Shut up and sing.” are hypocrites.
I have a new rule to live by: Real grownups don’t tweet.
U should also add that grown ups don’t need to act like hatful babys
Not too sure of who you’re aiming at but you might invest in a spell-check program.
That’s asinine, just like saying “Real grown-ups don’t use telephones” or “Real grown-ups don’t use keyboards.” It’s a tool, like a phone or a keyboard; millions of “real grown-ups” use it for communication without making asses of themselves (like you just did with your keyboard).
“Jackson said in a profanity-filled tweet that he was “not understanding God’s plan” given the fact that the storm was not disrupting the Republican gathering.”
I don’t know. Maybe it was just a shot across the bow. Hard to say.
Of course, you can say the same thing about the existence of God. Hard to say.
It’s human nature to start barking at God when you think things look unfair. I guess Samuel knows that republicans are more prepared for disaster. I would think that would be a good reason to vote for Romney
Like most Hollywood sorts, Jackson is just another dumbs with a camera happy face. No special talent there … and no special brain power either.
Your leading-from-behind president Obanana is a big embarrasment for your country .
– dogs and pigs are smarter (see Pulp Fiction).
Sam Jackson might remember that if you keep your stupid black mouth shut there are those that might think you are a bigot, racist, idiot, stupid,–but would still pay to see you act—but open your mouth and you remove all doubt and offend those that in the past had spent their money to watch your work, for diversion and amusement-
In this world there is so much in the way of diversion and amusement that you are not nearly as important as you think you are;
and with all your wealth, I just know you will be the first in with massive funds to help those harmed, if that happens.
Wonder if you are only going to help blacks?
Samuel L. Jackson gets my “AAA” award, same for Barrwhacky..
BTW, the triple “A” is totally derogatory but I won’t spell it out
so’s not to be labelled a racist, LOL!
But can you figure it out?
Oh let me think…African American Asshole
It’s a little limiting to attach race, since Ass-holery crosses all divides and divisions.
Here’s a very blonde moron
During pre-season football games, there have been advertisements that Ms. Barkin is pushing a new sit-com this Fall. Apparently, the show will have Ms. Barkin saying outrageous things about gays and minorities. Laughs all around!
Maybe Ms. Barkin is just getting into character. But Ellen, sweetie, Deniro you ain’t.
Tan.
Go to the head of the class.
I was gonna use Asshat though
but on 2nd thought….
What is it with “Ellen Barking”, anyway?
Was she jilted somewheres past.
Did her Butch lover go all Fem on her?
No one likes a nasty little dried-up sour-puss.
So why all the vinegar and potty mouth?
Maybe just maybe she’s doing this for a ‘redemption’ angle. Angry Progressive ,assisted by SoCons in an hour of need and she ‘sees the light’.
If anyone out there sees her in trouble, just keep driving….
Hah!
“Nick Fury”, my shiny white butt.
It’s sad when actors & actresses you have appreciated watching over the years show themselves to be absolute morons when it comes to political analysis and understanding.
Their politics have been on display for many, many years now.
They ought to just keep their bleeping traps shut, relish the success they’ve enjoyed in this life.
How does that expression go ?
“It’s better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and prove it.”
I loved Harry Belafonte’s music, but now I think of him as just an addled old man.
I hope Morgan Freeman doesn’t get more out there than he already has. I’d hate to cross him off.
you might as well, that’s what I did already
folks, just ignore what the hollywood types say, and the press can stop reporting it as well. When I was a kid (im 53) mother explained to me that actors and musicians exist for our entertainment and are for the most part just above prostitutes in the ranking of professions. mom was right. ignore the idiots.
The President Gets His Wish: BARAK OBAMA, MOVIE STAR
Samuel L. is a very gifted and talented actor. He has, at the very least, honored the One that blessed him with that call and gift … by “One”, I mean God. How it must grieve the heart of God that we disparage of others that do not agree with our own prejudices.
Samuel – you are even named after a great prophet. Please leave the “us and them” stuff behind … you’re better than that.
their beloved african-american ebony adonis is half white, 43.5% arab, and 6.75% black mmm mmm mmm
allahu akbar!
Is “akbar” Arabic for “bacon”? I like bacon.
Allah Akbar =God is Great. So it’s ‘Great Bacon’ at your house.
Clue us in when the party starts.
BTW, Bacon IS A Food Group. So says I
Unbelievable.
When Isaac was headed for Tampa, the left rejoiced as it seemed the GOP convention would be disrupted. Washed-up actress Ellen Barkin doubled down on this meme in her Twitter feed, but no one noticed because she is an aging has-been. Never mind that Tampa’s city government, and a majority of its voters, lean left.
Now Isaac is headed for New Orleans, and the left rejoices, thinking that the nation will be reminded of W. (You know, because 0bama and the rest of the Democratic Party has never tried to blame Bush for anything over the last three years.) Apparently the predominantly Democratic voters of New Orleans, like their counterparts in Tampa, should take one for the team. A few drowned NOLA residents is just grease in the gears of the Democratic Party propaganda machine.
School Made Deaf Child Change Sign Name, Said It Looked Like Gun August 28, 2012

Letsseeeee…. Is Ol’ Sammy a member in good standing of the First Satanic Church Of The Eternally Damned … Rev. Wright Officiating? He doesn’t seem to have a clue about God and God’s plan. But I’m pretty sure that plan never included mass deaths in hurricanes based on political beliefs.
what is really sad is that he really thinks that any sane individual gives a rat’s behind what he thinks. He is an actor. That does not make him smarter than anyone else. Oh yeah, he is a legend in his own mind.
this guy jackson and his ilk are the scumiest vermin on earth. i hope he goes back on crack and rots in hell.
PS……he sucks as an actor!
just another affirmitive action tool with a room tempiture IQ…
samuel jackson is a racist piece of shit
Whom does nature REALLY have a beef with–the Republican party, or Samuel L. Jackson? Hurricane, shmurricane–anyone remember seeing Mitt Romney eaten by a mutant genius shark in mid-sentence? I sure don’t. So who’s the real enemy of the environment here?
(Here’s what I just saw on the net, PJ !)
Latest G.U.Y. Award Nominee
Pro-death actress Ellen Barkin was nominated for the G.U.Y. Award after she expressed her hope that Hurricane Isaac would kill all pro-life Republicans at the 2012 GOP Convention. (G.U.Y. stands for “Grossly Ungodly Yid” – see Romans 11:26.)
This was a big honor for Ellen as there are always many others like her who would almost sell their soul to win a G.U.Y. (Google “The Earliest Hate Criminals”).
Virtually every time a black celebrity opens their mouth about politics they go instantly to race and whitey = problem. Extrapolate that out to 40 million black Americans and 96% for Obama on “issues” is no problem to understand.
The irony is that, except for a lucky few, black Americans take themselves out of the game thinking like that. Reality is not kind to fools.
Typical. Jackson fervently desires some natural disaster to befall the RNC, an act of an angry God. But when it doesn’t happen, note he makes no mention of the obverse possibility – that a peeved Almighty instead directed the hurricane directly at New Orleans, because it’s packed full of Godless Liberals.
FYI and I’m not kidding, one of the theories of the special guest is a hologram speech given by none other than Ronald Reagan. Dunno how I feel about that one.
Samuel L. Jackson, Ellen Barkin and those of their ilk can kiss my a**.
I haven’t paid to see a Hollywierd movie in years, not wanting to support any of the idiots over there like SLJ. For all I care, HE can rot in H311!
