The media insists that rogue SUVs are suddenly driving themselves around, careening out of control and killing people. But that is not what is going on at all.
“Scott wrote here about the appalling case of a 16-year-old St. Paul girl, Clarisse Grime, who was sitting in the grass at her high school, nowhere near the street, when she was struck and killed by a vehicle that careened out of control and bounced off a fire hydrant. The vehicle was driven by an illegal immigrant who has been in Minnesota for ten years without ever having a driver’s license. He was known to local authorities, having been convicted of drunk driving in 2001 and driving without a license just a few months ago. But the immigration laws are not enforced in St. Paul. So today, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported on Miss Grime’s funeral. This was the paper’s headline: ‘St. Paul teen killed by SUV remembered at her funeral.’ Killed by SUV? That doesn’t really seem to be the salient point.”
Sanctuary city policies have been around for far too long, but the Obama administration has created Sanctuary Nation with its stated policy of not enforcing immigration law against illegals caught but who have not been convicted of “serious” crimes. Their unpunished crimes and misdeeds will tend to get more serious. Until they kill people, who in most cases will be innocent American citizens.
Let’s take the particulars of the case above. The illegal was a known petty criminal. He was 1) here illegally, 2) driving without a license, 3) a known drunk driver. Just a guess here, but he probably also wasn’t carrying auto insurance.The failure to enforce those less serious laws has led directly to the senseless death of a young girl.The illegal alien was actually living a life above the laws that American citizens must abide by everyday.
The girl’s name is Clarisse Grime. She should be alive, but leftist policies now encouraged by the Obama White House killed her. That’s simply a hard, cold fact.
More: The story gets even more tragic. Miss Grime was herself a legal immigrant from Ethiopia. She was her parents’ only child. The family respected and followed American law, came here for a better life and were in the process of becoming Americans themselves, only to have a serial scofflaw who never respected America enough to follow her laws and who should never have been here at all, kill their daughter. The killer, Carlos Vivera-Colorado, had already been deported in 2001 but snuck back in. He should never know another moment’s peace as long as he lives. A country wishing to have its sovereignty respected would try him and, if found guilty, give him the ultimate punishment.
Every single person who supports these dangerous, corrosive sanctuary city policies should be forced to memorize this family’s tragedy and answer personally for it.

No, these are not “Leftist policies”. Leftist policies are things like socialism and environmentalism. The Sanctuary policies are simply Democratic Party policies. They want the Hispanic votes (and the fraudulent votes).
We have to remove this from the idea that this is a Right vs. Left ideological battle, because people shrug that off. It is not ideological. It is merely an effort to steal elections, just like their efforts to fight Voter ID laws. This is something folks won’t just shrug off as political.
This girl was killed, like so many others, by Democratic Party political game-playing. She was killed, so that Democrats could get into, and stay in, power. She was killed for Democratic Party power. Disgusting!

I am from California, where this kind of incident was already quite common in the 80′s. Now the East Coast is starting to notice. It’s past time.

Maybe this was a secretive Greenie Weenie plot to allow a fast-and-furious, illegal-border-crossing, illegally-driving, “undocumented” individual to obtain and drive an eeeeevil SUV so that now impersonal and unfeeling SUVs can be blamed for causing the death of this innnocent young woman. Better regulation – nay outlawing!! – of SUVs might have prevented this tragedy.
Besides, what’s all the hub-bub about a little “collateral damage” here and there when you’ve got important political omelets to make?
Too bad there will never be a rally where Clarisse Grime’s photo is paraded with the caption: “Legal Immigrant Killed By Illegal Alien”. If I were the Republican candidate, I would be making this point in a speech to every audience.

I would be willing to bet that this illegal alien has relatives in the St. Paul area and they were very happy when Obama announced his amnesty plan.

Thank you, Mr. Preston, for not vacillating and exposing the reasons for this senseless tragedy for what they truly are. Too many in the media today sugar coat events such as this. It is time to stop the sissy language contortions such as calling the president ‘disengenuous’ and instead call him the ‘LIAR’ that he truly is. As a nation, we need to apply that same dedication to the principles and righteousness that made us the greatest nation on earth. Close our borders, simplify our tax code to one sheet of paper, remove our armed forces from the list of institutions exposed to weirdo social-engineering projects, and have the courage to impeach and prosecute these criminals posturing as politicians that we call congressmen, senators and president.
The Tea Party is slowly but surely cleaning up the Republican Party one primary at a time while trying to eliminate all democrats from public office through elections. ‘We the People’ made this country great, and by not taking our responsibilities seriously and being manipulated by a corrupt media, allowed the democrats (primarily) and some republicans to almost ‘transform’ us into a euro-socialist sh*thole; it is up to ‘We the People’ to clean up our wonderful country so we do not burden our children and grandchildren with a mess too large to manage.
