That’s the headline on Drudge.
It’s just Drudge’s inflammatory headlines, right? But then, this is what Jimmy Hoffa said:
“We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They’ve got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner. It’s going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We’re going to win that war,” Jimmy Hoffa Jr. said to a heavily union crowd.
“President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let’s take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong,” Hoffa added.
(Emphasis mine.)
Surely it’s just a metaphor. Just like this:
Just like this:
And like this:
And as Michelle Malkin documented, this time last year, in the many other instances of Union violence.
I’ve been saying since before the 2008 election that Obama’s nearest historical analogy wasn’t Jimmy Carter or FDR, but Juan Domingo Perón.

Charlie, don’t you know that it’s not Fair (with a capital F) to use lefties’ own words against them?
History is irrelevant, after all… everything starts now, everything in the past is Officially Forgotten by Good Progressives.
Fifty or sixty years ago, it was possible to speak of union members as “workers” without inspiring immediate derision. Now, though, they are revealed as the opposite: bureaucratic parasites with salaries, pensions, and benefits that are envied by true workers, living in gated communities and drinking expensive wines from fine crystal.
Unfortnately for Hoffa and fellow bullies, it’s getting harder to recruit good thugs. The legions of burly factory workers have long since retired, and the modern material consists of metrosexuals with an office pallor. Hoffa should watch his mouth, lest he be forced to pick up a baseball bat himself.
Perfectly on point comment. Does anyone know the lifestyle of Jimmy Hoffa the poor working man?
It’s what they do. It’s what Obama does.
Why anybody would think for a second that the guy is peaceful is beyond me. He hasn’t condemned violence in his life, except when Republicans are in charge, of course, or when he can twist things around to get a political advantage, like the situation with Giffords in Arizona.
He would have already authorized a lot more violence if he thought he could get away with it. The Hoffa thing is probably a trial baloon to gauge reaction for his “voting rights strategy” for 2012.
Sniff, sniff…what’s that smell? It’s the stench of desperation from Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. Leftists are pathetic and so are their hired union goons.
Smells kinda like burned microwave popcorn.
And yet we (TEA Party-ers) are called terrorists. Amazing.
Aint it lovely to see, that there is nothing in the world that causes petty tyrants the world round to froth at the mouth quite like the simple idea of an average man insisting that he has the right to be left alone.
Peron, Alinsky, and Lenin. I am expecting a cadre of “community organizers” to set off massive race riots next summer when it’s clear the Marxist fantasy is over in America. Don’t expect these thugs to accept defeat like good sports. Hell, they are the vanguard of the revolution, just like dear old Che. Cities will burn. However, they will go into neighborhoods where an armed populace knows the police can’t protect them. The predatory gangs will lose these gun fights. The media will go orgasmic with photos of dead black youth in the streets. Obama declares a national emergency and cancels national elections. Who will arrest the dictator?
The military, that’s who. The United States Marine Corps will not consent to a dictatorship.
Now do we all see why they go ballistic over the Promisekeepers?
In this case, I think you meant The Oath Keepers (which involves members of the military, police, etc.).
Promise Keepers is a Christian men’s group/movement.
Obama, the Community Organizer-in-Chief, is trying desperately to rally his fractured, dispirited base; in this case, he’s pandering to his union parasite thugs. I really think this event backfired on Obama. The mask is off to reveal a petty man with a fragile ego trying to revive his flagging career as President of the United States. Epic fail.
– is over. Time to DO. It’s a fight. Getting anyone, including yourselves, on the ballot for any 2012 primary begins now. Check with your Secretary of State and local registrar. Get the forms, a pen, a clipboard, precinct lists and start walking and ringing doorbells.
And here I thought that the Left thought that discourse in America should be more civil. Oh, I must have not heard them right – they must have, it should be war like a civil war. I get it. Foolish me.
You’re right on the money, Charlie.
Trumka & Company appear to believe that intimidation still works in the same way it worked in the recent past. Today we do not find the same situation in the country as existed in the 1960′s through the 1980′s.
The country has changed, a lot! Those who propose to intimidate through violence might pause a moment and possibly observe that they are not the only ones who can purchase ball bats, or line up on a street corner. Some of us also own weapons, and some of us know how to use them effectively and not necessarily lethally.
The federal or local law enforcement are not the only ones who can purchase no lethal rounds or rubber bullets. No I am not advocating any violence, I am advocating standing up to bullies in similar fashion to the 1987 film “The Untouchables,” there is the “Chicago Way.”
We will fight if necessary. We prefer the signs, phone banks, coffee Klatches and the ballot box. However if called upon to defend our rights we will. Some of us have prior experience in this area of combat we will not shy from a fight if it comes.
Mr. Trumka through his words has already lost the battle, especially with those of us in our 60′s and there are a lot of us. He has also lost the debate to Walker, Kasich, Daniels, Perry, Romney lost it to Bachmann, with Palin, Cain, Santorum, Gingrich, and Trump, with Gen-X, and with the Mllennials’. Everywhere this Neanderthal looks he will only see, a calmness, logic and a smile. Before it has started they have lost. They have lost the debate. They may bread heads, but they have lost the argument.
However folks, the fault is clearly laid at our feet. This is what happens to the country citizenry when ( I, you, we, ) we do not do their homework on the people we elect.
And while we’re at it lets stop blaming the MSM. Those of us old enough to remember the voice and image of Chet Huntley know journalism ceased to be a profession in the 1960′s. It has never grown up and is nothing more than a petulant child. The last great journalist “Bill Safire” walked into history with his head held high, because he never lost his credibility but he was the last, and possibly the best. We live in an age of punditocracy.
So we will meet Mr. Trumka and friends at a time and place of our choosing. Ballots first, bats last, but if bats it be then bats it be.

Here is to hoping no misguided Democrat union goons or flash-mobs come to try to make a war to me or mine ( I would rather just vote in 2012). It is sad when we see why the founding fathers insisted on including the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights.
Of course, Hoffa was calling on working people to vote Republicans out of office.
Full quote: “President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. AndPresident Obama, we want one thing: jobs, jobs, jobs… That’s what we’re going to tell him. He’s gonna be … and when he sees what we’re doing here, he will be inspired. But he needs help. And you know what? Everybody here’s got to vote. If we go back, and we keep the eye on the prize, let’s take these son of a bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong.”
See that “Everybody here’s got to vote.”? It was craftily left out by your “friends” at PJ.
Remember: you cannot trust this site to be honest with you.
Just a few words from the reality based community. Now back to your regular programming…
Hmmmm, Little Junior Hoffa, a mobster, says “take these sons of bitches out,” and he means by voting ONLY, right? When the voting doesn’t go his way–and it won’t–he and his thugocrats won’t put up with losing. If you think I exaggerate, then you need to read yourself some union history AFTER 1945.
John Q,
I feel sorry for you. Your movement is bankrupt and you are angry and resentful. Even so, the numerous incidents of Democratic fraud and violence don’t bother you, Hoffa’s threats don’t bother you, the string of videos above don’t bother you. You are stuck on projection. Remember this thread next year should your constituencies turn to violence once again as they did in Wisconsin.
It is telling that you think mentioning that line – which we all knew about anyway (PJ did not bother to quote that part above, not needing too) — somehow makes it all better.
Sick… just plain sick. And not in a good way.
So, John Q, were you around at all during the last year as the international union thugs tried to disrupt the efforts of Scott Walker and the elected Republican majority in Wisconsin? Did you see any TV, or were you “otherwise occupied” during the sit-ins in the government buildings? Is this the “reality-based community” of which you are such a proud member? Please explain the compassionate part of “sons of bitches” that your reality-based union leader used so glibly. Were you around at all when the Massachusetts legislator tried to whip up a crowd of union thugs by telling them that ” it may be necessary to have some blood in the streets”? And what do these people believe, these “terrorists” that need to be “taken out” by the reality-based union faithful, this group made up of Conservatives, Republicans, Reagan-Democrats and Independents from all socio-economic groups, all races, all parts of our society except for progressive Democrats? They believe in limiting the Federal government in size and scope to the responsibilities spelled out clearly in the Constitution. They believe in fiscal responsibility and constitutional integrity. They believe in a strong defense, and a balanced budget – just like most of the state governments must do. Pretty radical stuff, John Q. I can see why the “reality-based community” is concerned about maintaining their place at the public trough!
Because, after all, there’s no evidence of union mob violence.
Hey, Hoffa, let me quote O’Rourke at you — yes, we’re sons of b*tches. We’re the “baddest-assed sons of b*tches that ever jogged in Reeboks. We’re three-quarters grizzly bear and two-thirds car wreck and descended from a stock market crash on our mother’s side… We’re big boys, Jack, the original, giant, economy-sized, new and improved butt-kickers of all time. When we snort coke in Houston, people lose their hats in Cape d’Antibes… We drink napalm to get our hearts started in the morning. A rape and a mugging is our way of saying ‘Cheerio’. Hell can’t hold our sock-hops. We walk taller, talk louder, spit further, f*ck longer and buy more things than you know the names of.” And we’re free men. And women. And you can’t change that. You can’t subjugate a free individual. You can only kill him/her.
And we will outlast you.
methinks there is an army of citizens that would put down that “take out the sone of bitches” attitude pretty quick, the unorganized, but nonetheless capable, welfare elimination militia, the military arm of the tea party patriots. don’t tread on me
….When Perón became president on June 4, 1946, his two stated goals were social justice and economic independence. These two goals avoided Cold War entanglements from choosing between capitalism over socialism, but he had no concrete means to achieve those goals. Perón instructed his economic advisors to develop a five-year plan with the goals of increasing workers’ pay, achieving full employment, stimulating industrial growth of over 40% while diversifying the sector (then dominated by food processing), and greatly improving transportation, communication, energy and social infrastructure (in the private, as well as public, sectors)…Perón announced in 1951 that the Huemul Project would produce nuclear fusion before any other country. The project was led by an Austrian, Ronald Richter, who had been recommended by Kurt Tank. Tank expected to power his aircraft with Richter’s invention. Perón announced that energy produced by the fusion process would be delivered in milk-bottle sized containers. Richter announced success in 1951, but no proof was given. The next year, Perón appointed a scientific team to investigate Richter’s activities. Reports by José Antonio Balseiro and Mario Báncora revealed that the project was a fraud….
If the Unions want class war, I am ready. The only people I know who make a conscious effort to buy American are Conservatives. All my Liberal friends and neighbors drive foreign cars. We are an oddity in our neighborhood in the true blue west side of The People’s Republic of Madison, WI, we have two American cars, a Buick and a Cadillac. When they get replaced, the new cars will not be built by UAW thugs who support DemocRATS. We will replace them with good quality cars, meaning Japanese or German cars.
I cannot boycott the products of government union workers, but I sure as heck can boycott the products of industrial union workers.
It’s time for “Operation Push-Back” where WE picket THEM for a change. Let’s see them try to bully and push veterans, athletes, NRA and others in our group. Alert the media, break out the video cameras.
What a media image: fat loser union thug belting a senior citizen with a walker!
