The Comeback Team
I’ve been saying for some time now that Romney will beat Obama by a landslide. His choice of Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as a running mate makes me even more confident that Romney will trounce Mr. Hope ’n Change. Ryan is an adult. Unlike Joe Biden, he does not regularly give the impression of having suffered a lobotomy. Ryan, unlike the entire Democratic establishment, understands that money does not come from the stork. He understands that individual liberty and limited government go together, and, what’s more, he is in favor of individual liberty, which the Democratic establishment certainly is not. He is energetic, articulate, personable, and mature.
Together, Romney and Ryan exude a spirit of competence. Obama and Biden exude a spirit of obliviousness undergirded by viciousness and, increasingly, panic. I know, I know: the polls do not support my judgment that Obama will lose and lose big. But the polls, Kemo Sabe, have been known to err. I feel about most polls the way Lady Bracknell felt about the Court Guides reporting the particulars of Cecily Cardew’s parentage: “I have known strange errors in that publication.”
Yes, a week is a long time in politics, as Harold Wilson once observed. But Barack Obama’s tenure as president has been such a conspicuous disaster that absent some enormous scandal in camp Romney, I believe he is a shoo-in. Of course, it is possible that we will learn something damaging about Romney. Maybe someone will discover that he sat for 20 years at the feet of a radical preacher who instructed his congregation to say not “God bless America” but “God damn America.” Maybe it will be discovered that he started his political career in the living room of a former Weather Underground terrorist who publicly declared that he and his fellow terrorists did not detonate enough bombs in the 1960s and 1970s. Maybe someone will turn up the fact that all his school records are sealed, that when he was a young politician he regularly voted “present” rather than take a stand on important issues. Perhaps someone will publicize the fact that in a radio interview he complained that the Civil Rights movement failed to provide for “redistributive change.” Maybe.
Absent something so disqualifying, though, I am sticking with my prediction. The man who has added more than $5 trillion to the federal debt, who is running an annual deficit of some $1.4 trillion, who has burdened American business with a nightmare of stifling regulations, who has squandered hundreds of billions of dollars on failed “green” energy initiatives and non-stimulating “stimulus” packages, who has insinuated government into the private sector in blundering unproductive and fiscally ruinous ways and foisted on an unwilling public the horror of ObamaCare—that chap is going down and going down in a landslide.

Methinks Joe enjoyed a lobotomy!
PER: Washington76
It appears that when Paul Ryan’s party is doing the spending, raising debt limits, and acting unconstitutionally… Ryan goes with the flow.
Congressman Ryan’s actual record leaves much to be desired. The issue Ryan is most known for is his interest in cutting the deficit and balancing the budget. But why did the Congressman vote to bail out the auto industry, to pass the Medicare package to the tune of $400 billion, and to nationalize education via No Child Left Behind?
Paul Ryan on Bailouts and Government Stimuli -Voted YES on TARP (2008) -Voted YES on Economic Stimulus HR 5140 (2008) -Voted YES on $15B bailout for GM and Chrysler. (Dec 2008) -Voted YES on $192B additional anti-recession stimulus spending. (Jul 2009)Paul Ryan on Entitlement Programs -Voted YES on limited prescription drug benefit for Medicare recipients. (Nov 2003) -Voted YES on providing $70 million for Section 8 Housing vouchers. (Jun 2006) -Voted YES on extending unemployment benefits from 39 weeks to 59 weeks. (Oct 2008) -Voted YES on Head Start Act (2007)Paul Ryan on Education Rep. Ryan went along with the Bush Administration in supporting more federal involvement in education.
This is contrary to the traditional Republican position, which included support for abolition of the Department of Education and decreasing federal involvement in education.-Voted YES on No Child Left Behind Act (2001)Paul Ryan on Civil Liberties -Voted YES on federalizing rules for driver licenses to hinder terrorists. (Feb 2005) -Voted YES on making the PATRIOT Act permanent. (Dec 2005) -Voted YES on allowing electronic surveillance without a warrant. (Sep 2006)Paul Ryan on War and Intervention Abroad -Voted YES on authorizing military force in Iraq. (Oct 2002) -Voted YES on emergency $78B for war in Iraq & Afghanistan. (Apr 2003) -Voted YES on declaring Iraq part of War on Terror with no exit date. (Jun 2006) -Voted NO on redeploying US troops out of Iraq starting in 90 days.
(May 2007)Congressman Ryan supports the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, federal bailouts, increased federal involvement in education, unconstitutional and undeclared wars, Medicare Part D (a multi trillion dollar unfunded liability), stimulus spending, and foreign aid.According to Michelle Malkin in 2009, “[Paul Ryan] gave one of the most hysterical speeches in the rush to pass TARP last fall; voted for the auto bailout; and voted with the Barney Frank-Nancy Pelosi AIG bonus-bashing stampede. Milwaukee blogger Nick Schweitzer wrote: ‘He ought to be apologizing for his previous votes, not pretending he was being responsible the entire time, but I don’t see one bit of regret for what he did previously.
”Congressman Ryan: if you don’t like debt, stop voting for debt.
Wow, look at you. It seemed like only last week you were ranting about chemtrails, HAARP, and the Mayan calendar.
I reposted what Washington76 posted elsewhere to remind everyone about Ryan’s voting record. It seemed a good idea to recognize what the standard bearers of the Republican Party truly represent, rather than continue on the all day schmooze fest that I’ve seen on this and every other blog. We all better realize what Romney, Ryan, and the GOPe are trying to do to the Tea Partiers. I have had it with the “conservative” schmucks who allow themselves to be snookered and hoodwinked by the Washington power elites over and over, who fail, time and again, to deliver the goods after the people elect them. I will vote for the Romney/Ryan ticket, but I will do so with my eyes wide open about the ongoing battle that must be fought against both the Marxocrats and the GOPe if we are ever to breathe free again in a land guided by the Constitution and the rule of law.
It is this kind of petulant child type of conservative, who says if everything I want isn’t done tomorrow I will take my marbles and go home, who could kill us and enable the dems to win. The repub party is hardly perfect now, but they are miles ahead of obama, and due to the actions of the tea party the repubs are slowly being remade to be better and better. Real change requires determination, time, patience, and even an occasional strategic compromise. The tea party has all 4, petulent children like this only know how to whine that things are not perfect, without working to slowly make them perfect. Reagan compromised when he had to, and so must anybody if they actually want to be in the arena, instead of just carping from the sidelines.
Unfortunately, lobotomized Obamaparrot, Obama has a record which is worse than anything you listed about Ryan. Bush’s deficit, yeah, 400 billions worth in eight years, Obama trumps him at least twice every year. So say whatever you’ll.
Oh, Ryan certainly is against free condoms to Sandra Fluke, and RR have conceded 95% of black votes, gay activists, MSM reporters, Democrat parrots, dead and illegal votes.
actually no one can tell the difference before OR after the lobotomy.
God, I hope you’re right!!!
I pray that Roger is right. If he isn’t, we seniors face a miserable future, as will our country. Again, pray. Yes.
Biden’s lobotomy is a ‘congenial’ defect.
Since Obama entered the national scene, every criticism of him has been condemned as racist. Thus have the Dems and media prepared the battleground, and set the conditions for the mother of all Bradley Effects. I expect many responding to polls are giving the politically correct answer. What choice they make in the privacy of the voting booth is between themselves and their conscience, and safe from the malignant venom of the coastal elites.
If you look at the party breakdown of these polls, they are often outlandish. The recent Fox poll that so many are gnashing teeth over has Obama up 9 with a D+9 SAMPLE! The electorate was NOT D+9 in 2008 (more like D+7) and sure as hell wasn’t in 2010. People have been LEAVING the Democrat Party. So what is the rationalization for pollsters INCREASING the D sample over 2008? Stupidity, fraud, wishful thinking, Democrats don’t have answering machines… take your pick.
On top of that, we are never told WHERE these people are from. I am sure there are areas of the country where one could call 100 registered Republicans and get a positive response on Obama from 25, well above the national average. If it’s a state Obama is likely to win no matter what (like California) it really doesn’t matter much if he is up 10 or 20 there.
Most of these polls are like the settled science climate change computer models: garbage in, garbage out.
Doesn’t it seem FOX is accelerating their efforts to become “Main stream”? I used to appreciate FOX for the breath of fresh air it truely was, now they are quickly becoming another pollutant in the toxic mainstream media mix. I cannot began to understand why they are deliberatley choosing this pathway to mediocrity when their success was built on exceptionalism.
The new part owner is Saudi. Or so I recall.
Last I heard, and this was some few years ago now, about 7%, which is enough to have a lot of influence.
If you look at the party breakdown of these polls, they are often outlandish.
Another thing is that most of these samples are skewed, whether unintentionally or not, with more self-identified Democrats or Republican responding. For some weird reason, polls always seem to have more Democrats. Must be an international conspiracy or something.
And the skewed samples are never factored into the published poll results. Now, having worked in IT for a long time (and somewhat of a quant) I know that it would be simple and inexpensive to publish results that factor for the skew, instead of having to catch an interview with Dick Morris or Scott Rasmussen on Fox News in order to understand the poll’s real results.
This is why such businesses as RealClearPolitics.com are incompetent, cowardly and harmful.
I’ve been saying for some time now that Romney will beat Obama by a landslide.
If your prediction turns out to be correct, then there should be a national discourse on the flaws in polling, and what to do in fixing the problem. Opinion polling ain’t rocket science, but listening to Dick and Carl Rove talk about polls, you get the impression that it is.
Polls intentional or not? Of course they’re intentional, intentionally meant to prop up the Iwon, and demoralize voters who don’t like him into not voting. MSM is nothing more than Pravda, the unofficial propaganda wing of the current administration.
You’re so right. Just take the latest poll done by Anderson for Fox News:
Democrats 44%
Republicans 35%
Independents 14%
No rational person can believe that, and undersampling independents also helps Obama.
A white Republican Guiliani after an utter failure one term black Democrat in Democrat controlled NYC.
A 8%+ unemployment rate when a 7.5% unemployment rate (Ford, Carter, HW, W) preceded a change of party in the WH.
Biden’s problem was not a lobotomy, although that seems like a good choice. The truth is, though, his hair plugs were drilled in too deep. Same effect, of course, but in multiple places.
Joe Biteme was a ponytailed hippy who skated into the Senate on Watergate and Mommy’s power and influence. Then he hung out with the “cool” guys. He never had even a scintilla of brain in his stupid head.
Why is everyone just noticing now?
Why do you think Ostupid picked him, in the first place? “Who can I pick that can possibly make even me look good?”
Biden is Obama’s insurance policy. No one would dare assassinate or even impeach Obama with Joe waiting in the wings.
IIRC, Nixon thought the idea of Ford as President was an impeachment firestop…..
Point of information: Nixon twice selected Spiro Agnew as vice president. It was often joked among the left-leaners that Agnew was Nixon’s insurance policy against impeachment.
As things turned out, Agnew was forced to resign due to being caught with his hand in the payoff cookie jar, nothing to do with the Watergate situation. Meanwhile, Nixon was already in pretty hot water; the Senate Watergate hearings had already been going on all summer (1973). He selected Ford as Vice President under the (?)th Amendment, but Ford had to be confirmed by Congress. He was, and Nixon was edged out, Ford became the unelected president. (Ford in turn selected Nelson Rockefeller as Vice President.)
I do not remember Ford being the target of insurance policy jokes. Agnew was thoroughly despised by left-leaners, but Ford was good ole Uncle Gerry except for the moonbat radicals.
The truth is, though, his hair plugs were drilled in too deep.
Maybe it was going to Harvard that dumbed him down. Did you know Joe was caught red handed lying about where he finished in his graduating class? I was shocked, but for the wrong reason, thinking he given all the damage done by alums of that subintellectual ghetto, administration after administration, it’s stupid to brag about having gone there.
I’ve written my Congressman (good) and my two Senators (worthless Dems) over two things in the past four years: our insane spending and the Fast and Furious scandal. The Congressman knows we’re headed for Hell in a handbasket. The two Senators want “business as usual.” There’s a reason why Congress polls in single-digit approval range and the Senate is a large part of that reason.
The spending has to be cut back probably by approximately 40%, according to Karl Denninger. It’s going to hurt a lot of people. However, there is no choice. The alternatives are not just worse, they’re absolutely fatal, and quickly so.
The Left doesn’t give a damn. Lots of them don’t have children or grandchildren to worry about so they don’t care if they eat the seed corn and the breeding stock. Those of us who HAVE to be responsible have been carrying their dead weight for a long time and watching them lead the country to ruin. Well, it will either stop now or we will stop being a united country. The resources aren’t there to keep up what we’re doing now. The day of reckoning is fast approaching and four more years of the same disaster we’ve had will just about destroy America as we know it.
Roger, I hope your message goes straight from your keyboard to God’s eyes!
Well said, mac.
Amen, mac.
That Ryan is unashamedly Catholic and openly integrates Catholic social doctrine into his political life will cause quite a stir among the leftoids. We’ll get to see a full display of genuine, honest-to-goodnes Hate with this choice.
Aside from our terrible economy which, it goes without saying, needs remedial help as soon as possible, I’m hoping this Romney-Ryan Ticket will somehow address our Muslim infiltration-subversion problem…..I hope that ‘political correctness’ will not force them to ignore this looming Muslim-Meccan-Horse at our Nation’s Gates. That particular horse’s front-hoof is already inside, forgive the awkward pun.
Truly, I’ve not seen our Nation in such danger since the scorned and belittled “Red Scare” actually materialized in its deadly ways, much to the chagrin of the liberal naysayers of that grey-black Cold War Era.
This octogenarian wishes we Americans had longer attention spans. We now have a serious handicap in our ignoring the past tactics of the Communists and seeing the glaring similarity with those same tactics and strategy being so successfully applied by resident Muslims in our country today.
That fifty-thousand square foot new mosque in small town, semi-rural Murfreesboro, Tennessee is built with greater expansion in mind.
I fervently wish The Comeback Team a grand success.
Maybe when Prez Barack Hussein mass mailed that Saul Alinsky how-to manual out to the nation’s grade schools there was a mistake and they were also sent to the nation’s mosques.
The affinity between socialists and Moslems is natural because what these two great belief systems share:
1) Central authoritative control
2) Suppression of free speech
3) Arbitrary law enforcement
4) Lack of clear and firm governance standards
5) Opacity instead of transparency
6) The unapologetic willingness to lie to the people
7) Luxury and riches for the ruling oligarchy
Charlie, one good sign is that Romney recently had a sit-down with General Boykin. It really ticked CAIR off, they demanded to know why he would do such a thing. I hope Romney politely told them to F-off.
What spectacular news. I hadn’t heard this before, so thanks hugely for passing on the info.
I have trouble deciding which of these I like best…..
Cheney’s “unmitigated disaster” or our host’s ….”has been such a conspicuous disaster”…
…..so….hands up…I think I’ll just take both of them.
Also, my suppressed fear is that the flippant, “stick it to th’Man” attitude of that truly mindless 52% who seated this “administration” will not lose enough of their mindless “entitlement-attitude”-voters to give the election to our potential saviors.
Nation: We have a problem. Liberal short-sighted mindlessness is lethal to this Nation.
Uh…….um…….uh……hmmmmmm……uh….. RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HALLIBURTON
Some believe that the Ryan pick portends an adult element in this campaign. They see it as a risk. They are right, but I argue that it’s a risk worth taking and long overdue. If it works out half the political consultants and strategists in the country will have a nervous breakdown and most of the survivors will seek other, more honest and productive careers. This alone make the risk worthwhile.
Instead of the GOP, how about the GUP: Grown Up Party?
all the VP pick polls showed Ryan much lower than the more popular Rubio and West choice, so once again they never listen to the people, they just do what they want.
Not sure about the VP preference polls, Branwen – but I have to respectfully disagree with you re the wisdom of picking Ryan. Romney’s shown that he takes the overall Tea Party message – limited government, budget discipline – seriously. Ryan’s a major policy wonk who’s been walking point for the good guys on government-spending issues ever since the Cook County Anointed God-King took office. Rubio? Maybe down the pike; maybe as Ryan’s Veep at some point. West? A good and noble man, but not experienced enough as a legislator yet – although I’d *love* to see him running the DoD, red-penciling overpriced weapons systems and purging PCified slugs from the military’s senior-officer ranks.
Why do you think another crony capitalist will be an improvement? The Obomination and his buddy Axelclod will sell this as a return to the Bush years of crony capitalism.
That will have a lot of legs, since it’s true.
Mitt’s plan is to pander to the Catholic vote. Pundits count Catholics as a block. That is far from their only mistake.
This election was lost when the GOP establishment forced Romney down everybody’s throat.
Berry is vulnerable. The establishment had to look really hard to find someone to lose to him.
Grasping the silver lining, this will give conservatives the time to purge the GOP before 2016. 2014 will be about hunting RINOs. To extinction.
Haji can’t shoot.
“This election was lost when the GOP establishment forced Romney down everybody’s throat.”
This is utter nonsense which no serious person could believe.
If the “establishment” had such power the Republican nominee would be Jeb Bush.
Herr Hussein Louie Benito Hugo Isuzu Obama’s campaign strategy is inadequate to maintain him in a serious action such as Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will put to him. He has corruption in the coop, hate on the hoof, taqiyya on the tongue and bats in the belfry — that’s his campaign strategy. He can probably maintain himself in the type of fighting Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will give him in Mexifornia and a few states on the North East front. After that it will make no difference how many thousands of dead he has voting for him early and often, and if Americans want America and the Presidency back, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will give it to them. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will make Obama howl for mercy.
Your choice of names by which to refer to Mr Obama certainly constitutes a compelling argument.
If anyone cares to look at the numbers, Ryan is up in the senior favorability ratings by 59%. He beat out Rubio in favorability factors in almost every head to head amongst the undecideds. So, Ryan is popular, and not only that, he is popular in areas we must carry in order to win.
Ryan as VP compared to Biden VP brings out into the sunshine the, “where’s the beef of your faith?”, issue. Look at the Catholic contrasts, and one will see consistency, (Ryan), versus lip service, (Plugs). You know, the leaving of one’s faith to go with a presumed politically correct choice, not a choice of faith based upon true faith, it emphatically does not go over well with Mid-West voters. Just how is Biden going to argue he is the better Catholic of the two? I see epic fail, and in particular when it comes to the attacks on the Catholic Church via Obama, and the monster religion killer Obamacare. Joe was MIA when it came to defending the Catholic Church, and the attacks on ALL Americans religious beliefs, and rights.
More head to head VP positives come from Paul Ryan being able to speak upon global economic disasters looming on the horizon. Can you see Biden trying to explain LIBOR, the dangers, and the role of Lil Timmy Geithner in all this mess? How about the issues of Germany and Great Britain possibly leaving the EU? Many of us fully comprehend how globally connected we are these days when it comes to economics, and our futures. The death of Western countries economically ensures MAD, and Ryan can smoke Joe when it comes to the disasters the world faces if the West does not get it’s economic house in order.
In the same vein of global finances comes the national security issues. “Mr. Divide Iraq Into Three Parts” will epic fail as he did in the Palin debate, but this time Ryan will call him on his lies and made up history. Stable economies equals the ability to have one kick ass military. A well funded military is a big stick that can be used against the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood throughout the Middle East. Do we want to end up like Great Britain, and because of finances have to merge our Navy with the likes of the surrender monkeys in France? I believe Ryan can connect the necessity of having a strong economy with foreign policy issues.
Undecideds in the female category favored Ryan, and I believe the 4% points will rise the more women learn about Paul Ryan. Many today have compared him to JFK, but I see more of a George Washington comparison in the longing for home, the dedication to his wife, and family, and a severe lack of metro-sexualness in Paul Ryan. He went home every chance he got, and refused some political offers based upon his wife not wanting him to make the move just yet. Ryan may not answer, “where is my John Wayne”, but other than his age and religious flavor, I see little to indicate Paul Ryan is going to take up with a blonde, bombshell actress any time soon. All of which to me makes him a plus when it comes to female voters. However, besides this morality plus, one cannot overlook the number of women in the workplace, and how in some cases, due to the current economy, many women are the sole financial supporters of their families. Lots of single mother homes across America as well. There are more women in colleges well, and therefore more women in debt. Ryan is going to be able to use his personal appeal, his steadiness as a good family man to get the female voters listening to his economic thoughts on where he ,and Romney want to take the country. Not seeing Joe Biden able to pull such a feat off.
Lastly, where a VP does work hard is in Congressional elections, and gubernatorial elections. The backup plan has to be getting a Republican dominated Congress. For the reasons listed above, I see Ryan helping out with state and local elections, as well as the must needed national wins. This in one sense is almost more important than a Romney win in November. Joe Biden is not going to help win one Congressional seat. Not one. So, chalk up one more win for Ryan being on the ticket. And with these Congressional elections in mind, one cannot help but think Ryan could put into play states that Obama might think he has in the bag. Ryan on the ticket is certainly going to make the Obama Regime have to spend money in states they thought were solidly blue, like for instance states like Colorado, Michigan, and maybe even New Jersey. If the DNC has to spend a ton of money to keep a blue state blue, then perhaps this will hurt in winning over swing states like PA, VA, WV, IA, and OH.
All in all, our VP is worth more than theirs. All in all, this was a win-win, and all in all, I think the Regime is crapping in their Progressive pants.
I respectfully disagree with your prediction that the election will be a landslide victory for Romney. First the fact that someone like Obama could be seriously be considered for President in the first place let alone elected shows that there is something very wrong with the thinking of the American electorate. I cannot claim to understand it but let’s call it an immaturity bred of three generations of relative peace and prosperity. There may be signs of a new adulthood in the public but here again the fact that the worse President in modern US history is still a frontrunner indicates the electorate is still not playing with a full deck. Couple this with the electoral fraud we are sure to see in Ohio, PA, WI, FL and VA and this election is up for grabs.
I cannot end without noting that the contemporary American electorate is to political wisdom what the OJ jury was to forensic insight.
Those are gamed polls intended to prop Obama up. Never lose sight of that.
Stoicheion, yes I think Romney will be an improvement over Obama. Eventually the financial insanity will stop. It’s a 100% certainty that financial markets will quit lending more money and the dollar will be destroyed if we continue on the same path as Team Obama accelerates toward the cliff. Team Romney/Ryan at least recognizes that we need to both slow the rate of increase in government spending and increase the economic growth rate. As a fiscal conservative my hope lies in Operation Counterweight, electing as many conservatives to the House and Senate as possible, to actually cut spending.
There is not much equivalence between the might-as-well-burn-the-money crony capitalism under Obama and the post-9/11 defense and homeland security spending under Bush. Obama managed to flush money down the sewer in ways that left increased dependency and very little positive result. Bush spent way to much money on a core function of the federal government, national defense, and so far a 2nd major terrorist attack has be averted. However, we do need to find a more honest and less expensive way to defeat the Jihad.
Ryan is,indeed, a brilliant choice, however, I fully expect the RINOS to neuter him, undercut him by writing mushy speeches for him, and forbidding him from denouncing Obama for the piece of filth that he is(a la Palin).I think his role is to provide the conservative base with false hope; letting it think that a fellow conservative has a chance in the party, to prevent conservatives from forming their own.In reality, the GOP exists to capture:READ CONTROL the conservative vote, and them stymie conservatives,as they cooperate with their fellow globalist plutocrats in the democratic party,in destroying the middle class, and turning the US into Mexico writ large. This might be a replay of the 2008 election.
One of your best, Roger. The lobotomy line is priceless.

And Paul Ryan is Ayn Rand’s biggest fan.
Why won’t Romney Release his TAXES??? What is he hiding?
Paul Ryan is the biggest gift to the Democrats. There will be an OBAMA landslide in November.
Roger… you need to change your meds. The ones you are on are not working.
Obama…The Only Hope for the Middle Class.
“Why won’t Romney Release his TAXES??? What is he hiding?”
Maybe in those older returns he was using the SSN from a dead guy from Connecticut. Maybe he paid some taxes on a foreign scholarship he got. Maybe there are some very shady real estate deals there that he made in Chicago and Nevada. Maybe there are some contributions he made to the Muslim Brotherhood. Maybe some business ventures with Bill Ayers, like in explosives companies. The list is almost endless.
Johnny, just take 3 Obama pills, say “it’s all Bush’s fault” 3 times and you will feel better in the morning.
Every day it’s a different ‘the sky is falling’ story with you, isn’t it?
Bob from VA is right.
At least 40% of the voters are either ignorant or stupid. We cannot count on them to see Obama and his thugs for what they are. They do not understand the issues, know no history, and are easily led by any politician who promises them free anything.
I fear our candidates do not see what they are facing. I am an octogenarian and I know evil when I see it. I can only pray that our candidates can see it,too. And know how to fight it.
Barack Obama is an unconstitutional resident of the people’s White House
He did not become America’s first unconstitutional president alone, he had help. While most of the criminal cabal are Democrats, some are Republicans.
Every member of congress knew Obama was ineligible for the office of president
Every member of the U.S. Supreme Court knows that Obama is unconstitutional
Every intelligent member of the press knows the truth, but won’t dare tell this story
Numerous people tried to remove natural born citizen from the constitution
They all know the correct definition of natural born citizen and applied it to John McCain
None of these people wants to apply the same definition to Barack Obama
Nobody in the Federal Government is going to do anything about the greatest constitutional crisis in American history, because all of them are complicit on one level or another
To all those wondering how the Obamination still rates 40-47% support. Sit down and just think about it a little. There are 13% of the population who voted for him because he looked the same as them I refer of course to BLACKS of whom 96% RACISTLY voted for him and that same 96% support him still and will continue to do so no matter what . Its what RACISTS do. Then there are the 20-30% of Americans who are dyed in the wool brainwashed left wing Islamophile PC, MC moonbats. Who also are incapable of change or logic or common sense.
So you see the Obamination is SURE of between 33-43% moronic and RACIST support no matter what he does .Add to that the 10% who are congenitally stupid and you can see how easy it would be to get the USURPER re-elected. Which is why he and the corrupt DEMS are going ‘hell for leather’ for the nailed on moonbat voters ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT AMNESTY will bring them. You have been warned.
Excellent choice Mr Romney! About 60% of the “cuts” in the twice approved Ryan budget come out of programs that benefit low income citizens. Hopefully the poor can be encouraged to immigrate. And although the Catholic bishops have come out in opposition to the Ryan budget (Ryan is a Catholic), we all know they are only useful when we are battling contraception. Excellent choice Mr. Romney, bring on the Left’s attacks.
The poor you will always have, but the catholic bigotry is just getting warmed up in the bull pen.
” Hopefully the poor can be encouraged to immigrate.’
Or perhaps get a … … job. Well get a job in a Romney/Ryan economy anyway.
I apologize if I used a bad word – objay.
Why are all Left Wing moonbats so uneducated . You should have written ‘EMIGRATE’ meaning ‘LEAVE’ Brutus not IMMIGRATE meaning ARRIVE .
15. Bob From Virginia and 21. Retro
You are both right. This is going to be a tough election and I am not sure Romney is up for it. The attacks and lies, as bad as they are, haven’t even gotten off the ground yet. The screams of racism, that Republicans are killing senior citizens, causing cancer, turning women into slaves and, well you add in the rest. The Obama camp is going to run the most dirty, lying, hysterical and underhanded campaign seen in American history and too many voters will fall for it. And Roger Kimball, I hope you are right and I am wrong.
Those that are afraid of the mindless liberal drones that lifted Obama to the presidency in 2008 need to realize that the turn out for the 2008 election was astronomical, and will not be replicated. Most of those that turned out to vote for Obama will not return to the polls this time around. And a lot of those that do are those who are disenchanted with his empty promises.
Romney’s choice of Paul Ryan presages end of an era.

House Dem Congratulates His Cousin’s Hubby for Becoming Romney’s VP Pick

Romney is running behind or neck and neck in polls. Who does picking Ryan help him with? Answer: people who were going to grudgingly vote for Romney anyway are now going to do so slightly more enthusiatically. Portman, Christie or Rubio would have been better choices for someone who actually wants to WIN.
Win? Win what? This too-clever-by-half thinking is why conservatives never manage any meaningful pushback against the Left’s century-long transformation of America.
We are at a point where the people of this country are going to have to make a choice on what they want this country to be like. They may yet choose poorly, but they will have to do so knowing full well what the other direction really was.
Funny to see the delusion that President Obama whips you people into.
Landslide? For Romney? That has to be the funniest thing I’ve heard.
Romney is going to get destroyed….take it like a man, boy.
And forty years ago your grandparents were giggling over their wine spritzers that anyone could imagine that uptight fascist Nixon could eke out a victory over the personable liberal McGovern.
The problem is that Biden needed a frontal lobe implant before any lobotomy could be done.
Romney and Ryan exude a spirit of competence? Let’s look at the facts.
For decades Romney has stood for nothing, but believed in anything that will get your vote. He not only flopped on his first foreign diplomatic trip, he actually angered them. Ryan’s economic plan is extremely unpopular with everyone except the extreme right. Neither has any foreign policy experience. Romney continues to refuse to release more than 2 years of his tax returns.
Forget about exuding confidence. Show me the money if you want my vote.
Signed, a Skeptical Moderate
“Ryan’s economic plan is extremely unpopular with everyone except the extreme right.”
It is extremely popular with the majorities electing a majority of the House, and who may well elect a majority of the Senate.
If they succeed in that, they had damn well better undertake Ryan’s plan as a beginning proposition.
Roger, I am with you. The polls do not accurately reflect the intensity differential this time around. Turnout is much more likely to look like 2010 than 2008. A good friend is a Delphi Salaried retiree here in Ohio who got hosed by the Obama admin. He actually voted for Obama in 08. He thinks a good 30-35% of his colleagues did as well. This time, none of them are going to vote for Obama as they continue their legal challenge and Congressional investigation into the bankruptcy misdeeds of GM, Delphi, et al.
Paul Ryan has a fantastic legislative record, his influence in the House has been truly inspirational (look it up). And better still his extensive experience in the realm of international affairs places him in a perfect position to assume the top job if, God forbid, anything happens to Romney. Oh, if we could only vote just for Ryan.
May I ask what legislative record you’re referring to? Paul Ryan has only passed 2 bills into law in more than a decade.
Akatsukami,
Sorry to inform you, but there’s no Southern Strategy to undertake 40 years later. The black people can’t be scapegoated enough anymore because demographics shifted on you…it was good while it lasted though, right?
Romney was already going to get trounced, hence this Freudian slip by this hack about him and Ryan being the Comeback Team. If he actually believed that horse manure he’s shoveling about polls, what would Romney have to come back from?
it’s like I told my liberal friends about this time 8 years ago, just because you hate their guy, doesn’t mean he’s not better than what you’re trotting out there, and deep down all of you people cheering on the Romney train wreck know he’s not up to beating the Obama guillotine.
Jesus, he couldn’t even dodge these obvious Bain attacks that were telegraphed by Obama’s people back in May.
No, instead he put his head in the sand for 2 months and pretended it wasn’t happening, then pretended it wasn’t working, and now is so far behind that he had to make a McCainesque desperation pick outside of his comfort zone to “shake up” a race that he’s already lost.
I feared Romney might do worse, but providentially, Vidal up and died.
I hope you’re right. I want you to be right. Please be right. You have to be right, or as John Derbyshire would say: “We’re Doomed”.
