Global Warming Causes Schizophrenia*

“MUST WATCH: Oregon Republican calls out Liberal reporter, gets THROWN OUT of candidate meeting,” writes the bloggers at Right Scoop, who dub this “the best thing I’ve seen since Newt Gingrich was calling out the liberal media in 2012″:

This has to be the best thing I’ve seen since Newt Gingrich was calling out the liberal media in 2012.

Republican Mark Callahan, who is running for US Senate in Oregon, was in a candidate review meeting with other colleagues in order for Willamette Week, a publication in Portland, to decide who they would endorse in the upcoming primary. An opponent of his, Republican Joe Rae Perkins, was on speaker phone. There were others in the room but I’m not sure who they were specifically.

The clip starts with Perkins answering a question on speaker phone. While she was answering it, one of WW’s reporters, Nigel Jaquiss, wrote ‘blah blah blah blah’ on his paper as she was answering. Callahan noticed it and called Jaquiss out for it, saying:

You want to talk about disrespect? I see what you’re writing down there. You just wrote down ‘blah blah blah blah blah’ for everything that Joe Rae said. Joe Rae is a respectable woman. Why are you not respecting her by writing ‘blah blah blah blah blah’ on your notepad?

When Perkins is asked whether he believes climate change is a myth and responds in the affirmative, as Right Scoop notes, “The reporter who wrote ‘blah blah blah blah blah’ followed up asking Callahan condescendingly ‘where are you on the easter bunny?’”

And that’s when the fireworks really start.

Compare that exchange with one involving a potentially far more powerful politician — Barack Obama’s now infamous meeting with the San Francisco Chronicle, in January of 2008, in which their editorial board sits there non-plussed while a serious candidate for the presidency of the United States speaks in a strangely cold, non-emotional tone about bankrupting an entire sector of the economy…

….And worse, considered his response non-news, rather immediately running Drudge-style headlines along the lines of “SHOCK: IF ELECTED, OBAMA VOWS TO BANKRUPT COAL INDUSTRY.” Instead, that moment sat buried in an hour-long video uploaded by the Chronicle in January of 2008 until the following October, when bloggers on the right concluded that hey, maybe, just maybe, the likely next president of the United States vowing to destroy an entire industry in the midst of an economic crisis might just be news voters should be aware of.

In 2007, dinosaur media house organ Editor & Publisher suggested “Climate Change: Get Over Objectivity, Newspapers.”

Which of course the industry quickly took to heart, along with a level of schizophrenia that is certainly fascinating to watch.

* Why not? It causes everything else.

The scam now is quite out in the open as a pure brazen power play, seen in a single glance here that shows no hockey stick blade in any of the latest headline grabbing hockey stick input data:

Low lying data was bizarrely re-dated so at the end a blade resulted from spurious data drop-off, merely.

I believe in the greenhouse effect. The average surface temperature of the Earth is much higher than the Moon, though both are at the same average distance from the Sun. The Earth is warmer because its atmosphere has lots of "the most important species of greenhouse gas", water vapor.

If well mixed greenhouse gases are the driver of the greenhouse effect, why does the diurnal temperature range change so much from one day to the next in any given spot? The putative greenhouse effect of carbon dioxide and/or methane should not change, since their concentration does not change on a 24 hour basis.

Pajama Boy Attitude is a direct result of no accountability leftism.

No consequences to being an asshat. The reduction in violence growing up, teaching restraint is a good thing....almost universally.

In my day...this guy would have been taught a lesson that is no longer taught in polite society. I still believe it's a good thing that's not done any more.

Dude, with the tude...Pajama Boy never lost an argument. Or a tooth.

I think global warming caused Barack's head to swell to the point where he thought he could one day be president, and so far there's been no cure.

If cutting back on CO2 will prevent a repeat of this kind of disaster, then let's do it.

NB: Schizophrenia is not "split personality disorder." Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is the current name for multiple personalities.

A brief overview of schizophrenia: A mental disorder characterized by a breakdown in thinking and poor emotional responses. Common symptoms include delusions, such as paranoia; hearing voices or noises that are not there; disorganized thinking; a lack of emotion and a lack of motivation.

Wait. Maybe you are right. My bad.

If that's a win we are used to losing. The only sensible plain spoken person there gets kicked out of the meeting. The rest of the candidates are quacking in their shoes and look like they are ready to crawl under the table. 1-0 for the Cultural Marxists, aka the press,

I'm from Portland. The WW is a well known progressive rag. They could care less what their opponents think. The question "do you beleive in climate change" shows the questioner beleives in it, as a Muslim believes in Allah.

Climate change is a scientific question, not a religious one. The Easter Bunny, now that's a different matter.

Good analogy. Because if they were questioning a Muslim candidate who reaffirmed his belief in Allah, there certainly would not have asked him any sarcastic questions.

The proper answer to the Easter Bunny question would have been: "I believe in the Easter bunny as much as I believe you are a journalist".
