If Obama Is FDR, What Can He Learn From Him?

Conservatives are often chided for being obsessed with Reagan, but isn’t Time magazine going to the well once too often with their upcoming cover story? It was only in November that Time had Photoshopped the CEO of the Office of the President Elect on the cover as FDR. Now they’re saying he needs to take lessons from him?
Meanwhile, Nick Gillespie has some lessons for Time: “You Know The Real Reason Why Time Mag Is Going Down the Drain? The Content!”

“Now they’re saying he needs to take lessons from him?”
Lessons on being a more effective thug? Only the unanimous U.S. Supreme Court decision, A.L.A. Schechter Poultry Corp. v. United States, putting a stop to Roosevelt’s excesses saved us from an outright fascist dictatorship. Is that what Time wishes for modern day America?
I suggest the reverse, that our current situation is telling us a lot about what went wrong in the 1930′s.
The fact then and now is captured by Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s chief of staff. He said that no crisis should be wasted as a political (money acquiring) opportunity.
What we have/had is an explosion of political class self-interest and a grab for money and power. The economic crisis (caused by our current politicians) is merely the excuse to enact wild theories and hand out favors during the turmoil.
There are no limits, because they can take the money now and let the accounts settle themselves later. They don’t have to care what happens to the “little people” when they look out in the future from hilltop homes. They will have gotten theirs.
