From the comments to today’s post about the Musgrave amendment to ban gay marriage:

Gay marriage is social progress, perhaps in Soddom or Amherst but folks round bout here don’t take kindly to a bunch of jumped up queers in black robes dictating what “progress” is.

Makes you wonder if he’s also bothered by the fact that all those coke-fiend colored boys finally got their voting rights — thanks in no small part to some cultural progress forced on him by damn Yankees 40 years ago.
