British Understatement

On Fox near midnight last night, a reporter was interviewing an RAF Group Captain at CENTCOM HQ in Qutar. The Brits had secured the al Faw peninsula, so the reporter asked, “So is Basra next?”

Obviously, the GC couldn’t answer that. Obviously, the answer was still pretty damn obvious.

So the GC, with a smile in his voice and an English public school smirk on his face said, “Seems to go with the flow, doesn’t it?”
