Former AG Lynch Rants About Rights Being 'Rolled Back'

Loretta Lynch

Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch made a video rant that Senate Democrats found so “inspirational,” they posted it to their Facebook page.

Lynch warned that our rights are “being assailed, being trampled on and even being rolled back.” Which rights enjoyed by Americans are under assault Ms. Lynch forgot to mention.

Yeah, but it sure sounds frightening, doesn’t it?

Even more hysterically, Lynch seemed to suggest that Trump opponents should mimic civil rights protesters from the 1960s, when ordinary people “marched, they’ve bled and yes, some of them died.”

Is Lynch advocating violence in the streets?

WND:

Without offering any specifics, Lynch goes on to say that “our rights” are “being assailed, being trampled on and even being rolled back.”

But the strongest words come in a statement that seems to suggest the answer is street action that will inevitably turn bloody and deadly.

“I know that this is a time of great fear and uncertainty for so many people,” Lynch says. “I know it’s a time of concern for people, who see our rights being assailed, being trampled on and even being rolled back. I know that this is difficult, but I remind you that this has never been easy. We have always had to work to move this country forward to achieve the great ideals of our Founding Fathers.”

Lynch, who is scheduled to receive the Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medal of Law from the University of Virginia, goes on to say: “It has been people, individuals who have banded together, ordinary people who simply saw what needed to be done and came together and supported those ideals who have made the difference. They’ve marched, they’ve bled and yes, some of them died. This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. We can do this again.”

Lynch succeeded Eric Holder as Barack Obama’s attorney general in 2014.

I don’t necessarily think Lynch was calling for street violence, but she certainly spoke approvingly of how the civil rights movement achieved some of its goals.

Not exactly the legal definition of incitement, but hugely irresponsible nonetheless.

Does Lynch really believe that our rights are being “rolled back”? Or “assailed” or “trampled on”? For a national leader to make that incredibly serious charge without a shred of proof or even an example is mind boggling. That Democratic senators see fit to post this smear on their Facebook pages and claim inspiration from it is outrageous.

This is just more Democrat hysteria being generated at the highest levels of the party in order to frighten and anger their automaton base. Lynch stopped just short of calling for blood in the streets — which we’ve already seen on more than one occasion. That she used to be the highest-ranking law enforcement officer in the land is a sad commentary on the Democrats.
