BOMB THREAT at Second GOP Headquarters

According to a Facebook live video Monday, the Arizona Republican Party received a bomb threat and had to shut down while police shut down the area. The GOP headquarters in North Carolina was firebombed over the weekend, so police take these threats very seriously.

“We’ve had a bomb threat here at the Arizona Republican Party,” declared Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham in the Facebook video. He called this “voter intimidation at its pinnacle. The Left is doing everything they possibly can, and they’ve gone as far as at our sister party in North Carolina to actually throw a pipe bomb inside their facility there.”

The Arizona headquarters was evacuated while police searched for a bomb. Eventually, they gave the all-clear and staff returned to work.

“The Left wants to talk about their tolerance, but when you don’t agree with them, they bully you and they try to intimidate you, so this is more of the same, no big surprise,” Graham added.

But this threat did not stop the Arizona GOP from contacting voters. “What the Left doesn’t realize is we have 21 other field offices, and our volunteers have been rerouted and we’ve turned up the volume of the number of calls. So, if nothing else, they’ve motivated us to do more today, as a result of their intimidation,” the chairman declared.

“With the intimidation that you’ve seen at other rallies, the Trump rallies, the abuse of people that support Trump, the bomb that they threw into the North Carolina GOP, and now a bomb threat here in Arizona, I guess the word that comes to my mind first is pathetic,” Graham said. He lamented the breakdown in political discourse, pointing out “people trying hard to intimidate people so that we can’t exercise our First Amendment rights.”

In Hillsborough, North Carolina, the Orange County Republican headquarters was hit with a pipe bomb Saturday night, which set supplies and furniture ablaze. The side of an adjacent building was also spray painted with a swastika and the words, “Nazi Republicans get out of town or else.”

Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of the North Carolina GOP, called the bombing an act of “political terrorism,” but added, “the only thing important to us is that nobody was killed, and they very well could have been.” North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory called the bombing “an attack on our democracy.”

Violence has derailed many Trump rallies, both during and after the Republican presidential primary, and a recent bombshell report from Project Veritas detailed how the Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party worked to incite violence at those rallies.

Deep-red Arizona has not favored a Democrat since 1996, but Trump has a mere one point lead over Clinton in the RealClearPolitics average. FiveThirtyEight gives Clinton a 55.3 percent chance of winning the state.
