What's Hillary Clinton's Great Achievement as Secretary of State? MSNBC: Gwarble Gwarble Gwarble

Bill Kristol, you mischievous hooligan you. Kristol appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe today and asked a straightforward question: What makes Hillary Clinton so qualified to be president? Specifically, what did she achieve as Secretary of State that earned her the White House.

And…none of the liberals on the panel has an answer. So they toss to Democrat apologist Chuck Todd, and the best he can come up with is that she isn’t John Kerry, or something.

Benghazi comes up at the end, before one of the panelists touts Clinton’s ability to park herself in airplanes to fly around the world on the taxpayer’s dime. Impressive!

For what it’s worth, no one on the panel managed to make the most obvious point. While it’s nice that such a debate occurred, and it’s nice that someone even on the left is thinking about qualifications for the presidency, the very idea that one needs actual qualifications before becoming president went out the window with Barack Obama. He admitted that he wasn’t even qualified to run, then he ran, and he won. Twice. His wins strongly suggest that a majority of voters don’t even glance at candidate résumés anymore, and neither does the media. Hillary Clinton’s lack of achievement in any field won’t hurt her. Her coldness and inability to connect will, though.
