What's Eating David Axelrod?

Even the Morning Joe gang has noticed that Obama bagman David Axelrod is acting a bit off lately.

My theory: Campaign internals show that their negative attacks have reached the magic tipping point, and their being outraised by Romney means they will not have the means to push back when the GOP PACs bombard them with negative but truthful ads after the conventions.
