Sympathies for Japan

Those of us who live – as I do – on the Pacific Rim know full well the vicissitudes of Mother Earth. I have experienced an earthquake in the low 7s, and that was bad enough, but have almost no conception of what one would be in the high 8s (8.9 in this instance). There are no words….
