'Unwoke' With Kevin and Kruiser #127: The Late-Night Eunuch Choir Is Pathetic

Townhall Media

(New “Unwoke” episodes are posted on the podcast page every week.)

Our topic here today was something that I had fully intended to cover in the column I wrote on Tuesday. I thought of what I wanted to say while I was out for a walk, then promptly forgot about it as soon as I returned home to finish writing. It was about competition and rivalry in comedy, and how they make everything funnier.

The current crop of late-night (Colbert, Fallon, Kimmel, and Meyers) and late-night-ish (Oliver and Stewart) hosts are a timid group of propagandists who have chosen to creatively castrate themselves to serve their masters at the Democratic National Committee.

Kevin and I examine what the rivalry between Jay Leno and David Letterman did for late-night television, which was a lot. We also talk about rivalry at all levels of comedy. Spoiler alert: I'm more of a jerk about it than he is.

The closing segments are here, of course, and Kevin came up with a new one, which we will soon be incorporating. The sun is bright here in MAGA Land, and we're grateful that you are all with us here to bask in it.

Enjoy!
