Trump's Response Was Restrained, All Things Considered: POTUS Fat-Shames Rally Protester

President Trump is always at his loosest when speaking at one of his rallies, never more so than at his Thursday night rally in New Hampshire, where he quickly dispatched a protesting heckler using some good, old-fashioned — and politically incorrect — shaming.

OK, he had a lot of help from security too.

The Hill:

“That guy’s got a serious weight problem. Go home, start exercising,” Trump said as the individual who interrupted Trump’s speech was escorted out of the arena.

“Get him out of here please. Got a bigger problem than I do,” Trump quipped. “Got a bigger problem than all of us. Now he goes home and his mom says, ‘What the hell have you just done?'”

The Hill also reports that there were several protesters removed from the arena and that the crowd followed their boos with a “U.S.A.” chant. The leftmedia will no doubt now say that “U.S.A.” is a dog whistle for racism and murder.

I kid, but we have all seen them in action.

Sure, people have a right to protest, but the people being protested also have a right to respond. This is the kind of thing that Trump’s detractors whine about, saying he’s not being “presidential” and lacking in decorum.

I find him to be somewhat restrained given how often he has to deal with hecklers and the nonstop temper tantrum protests of the #Resist crowd.

There is already a bit of a 2016 replay happening. The media is full of stories about polling and a recession that probably won’t happen, while Trump’s rallies are huge, loud, and enthusiastic. People were lining up almost two days in advance for this one.

Democrats ignore that at their own peril.

Here’s a Twitter clip of the protester incident:
