President Trump took to his favorite bully pulpit on Saturday to issue a dire proclamation: “The Trump Economy is setting records, and has a long way up to go,” he tweeted. “However, if anyone but me takes over in 2020 (I know the competition very well), there will be a Market Crash the likes of which has not been seen before! KEEP AMERICA GREAT.”

Back in 2016, long before I felt one way or the other about Donald Trump, I was frequently on record praising his use of social media.
Democrats can directly disseminate talking points via the mainstream media. Republicans are always filtered through a prism of extreme, unfavorable bias.
When President Trump tweets, he makes his case directly to the American electorate, bypassing the deeply institutionalized Democratic spin machine in the MSM.
That’s why they complain about him doing it.
His point here is one that he no doubt takes special pride in.
I watched election night coverage on CNN and MSNBC in 2016 until around 6 a.m. PST. It was great entertainment.
By far the most frequent refrain from the hysterical leftmedia that night was a gloom and doom warning about the stock market reacting unfavorably to Trump’s election.
The stock market has greatly benefited the 401Ks and IRAs of regular Americans, which bodes well for the president. He makes them money, while the Democrats are building a platform that does nothing but take it away from them.
Let’s see how that works out.
