Who's Funding Iran and Hamas? Joe Biden. Isn't That Treason?

Treason is defined as giving “aid and comfort to the enemy.” Treason prosecutions are rarer than New York Times endorsements of MAGA candidates, but if we had a sane and evenhanded political culture today, a serious case could be made for bringing treason charges against one prominent American. That man is Old Joe Biden.

As Stephen Green explained Thursday, the Biden regime has just “quietly issued yet another sanctions waiver to Iran, giving the terrorist regime access to as much as $10 billion in frozen assets.” Old Joe insists that this massive outlay of cash could "only be spent on humanitarian purposes," but come on, man! As Stephen noted, “Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said his government would spend the money however they damn well pleased, and then did.” How does it please the Iranian Islamic regime to spend its money? On Hamas.

The “humanitarian purposes” business is preposterous from the get-go anyway. In making such claims, the Biden regime is pretending yet again that the American people have no idea of the most basic principles of economics. It insists that if it does send this $10 billion, it will be earmarked only for humanitarian purposes. The basic lesson of economics here is that getting $10 billion from the United States will free up $10 billion that the Iranian regime would have spent on food for its people, but which can now go to kill Israelis.

In the Iranian parliament, they chant “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” and they mean it. In a nationally televised address in Nov. 2023, Khamenei explained: “The situation between America and Iran is this: When you chant ‘Death to America!’ it is not just a slogan – it is a policy.” Hey, that’s something America and Iran have in common: “Death to America” appears to be the policy of the Biden team as well.

One aspect of Iran’s death policy is its funding of Hamas’ efforts to obliterate the state of Israel. If the jihad against the Jewish state succeeds, it would be like a dam bursting, and the jihadi flood would engulf Europe and the U.S. Jihadis worldwide would be mightily emboldened, and the remainder of what used to be known as the free world would be directly in their sights. The destruction of America’s foremost ally in the Middle East, as Khamenei and others have repeatedly predicted will happen within the next few years, would deal a catastrophic and possibly mortal blow to American prestige and power.

As House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) observed last November, when the money that the Biden regime was contemplating handing over to Iran was only $6 billion, “$6 billion for Iran is $6 billion for Hamas.” Now it’s ten billion, and the money will indeed flow to Hamas, thus rendering hollow all of Old Joe’s post-Oct. 7 protestations of sympathy for and solidarity with Israel. The chief financier of Hamas’ jihad against Israel at this point is not Iran, but the United States.

What do Hamas and its supporters think of the United States? A popular social media influencer (yes, they really have them even there), “Abod,” said last Thursday that the United States was “the Great Satan and the number-one enemy of our cause.” Abod doesn’t realize, however, that the weapons and equipment that Hamas had to be paid for by someone, and that someone who made available the money for them was the spawn of the Great Satan who sits in the Oval Office, Old Joe Biden.

So isn’t this treason? Iran’s Supreme Leader hates the United States and has said that its destruction is a policy of his state. Instead of reacting accordingly, and moving to protect American interests and American people from this rogue state, Old Joe has just sent them a massive financial reward that will enable them to strengthen and revitalize Hamas in its hour of need, and damage to the United States in all manner of ways.

Biden won’t be charged with treason. The very idea will never even come up in the establishment media, much less in Congress. If by some mischance it is discussed somewhere in the mainstream, it will be as an example of how nutty those right-wingers are even to suggest such a thing. But if giving ten billion dollars to a regime that has vowed to bring death to America and that will almost certainly use the money to fund an organization whose supporters think of the U.S. as their number one enemy isn’t giving aid and comfort to the enemy, then what is?
