Last night, as people were enjoying the final performance of the Route 91 Harvest festival, the Jason Aldean concert, gunshots rang out. We have now all heard about the Las Vegas incident, the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. Over 50 people were slaughtered, and more than 500 were injured. To say this was a tragedy is a complete understatement.

One of the scariest parts of this incident was how rapid the gunfire was. Using an automatic weapon, he would fire upon the crowd, reload, and fire a lot more.

This shooting exposed an awfulness beyond words, but also resiliency and love. We mourn the dead, pray for their families, support the survivors, and try to do more to secure our citizens. Viva Las Vegas.
