Happy Friday after Valentine’s Day! We shared our day making memories with the people we love. Valentine’s Day has turned into an excuse to share food and laughter with as many loved ones as possible. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m always looking for kid-friendly and fun desserts to try out at our Sunday dinners. I think this one from Cookies & Cups officially wins! What do you think? Who can resist sprinkles?!

This is something I struggle with from time to time. I’m terrible at printing the pictures of my kids and then making the memories get on the page too! These ideas are fantastic. I feel a weekend project coming on! Brittany Dixon at A Healthy Slice of Life writes:

“I know I have a tendency to romanticize the past and err towards the packrat side of things, but memories are incredibly precious to me. Especially with time flying by the way it likes to do. Though I’m constantly striving to let go on my need to hold on, I do have special keepsakes of my kids and our family that are incredibly special to me.”

“These children? They’ll only be in my home for a short time. They’ll be mine forever, but they’ll never again need everything from me. Once they’ve outgrown my lap, they’ll never truly fit there again (although they’ll always be welcome). This is it.

“So I tucked my son under my arm as we headed back upstairs. Then after the kids were shuffled to their rooms for the night, I got out a pen and started writing this list. Because… I have a feeling I’m not the only mom who wants to savor her kids while she has them, even if it is harder than we expected. ;)”

It can be so easy to let negativity become a regular part of your life, especially if you spend a significant amount of time online. Everyone seems upset about something these days, and it’s likely that your social media feeds are filled with fighting, unrest, and backhanded remarks. Life is hard enough as it is, and I think having unnecessary added negativity in your life just adds to the struggle. I always try to stay positive, and work hard to focus on the good things and to find ways to eliminate any excess negativity in my life.”
