Ivanka: 'Our Wealth Was Created Prior to Government Service' While Biden Made Money From It

Ivanka Trump, a senior White House advisor, drew a contrast between her family’s wealth and the money made by former public officials such as former Vice President Joe Biden and his family.

“The Bidens were lifelong public servants and they created wealth as a derivative of that. My father campaigned on his success as a businessperson, as somebody who was not a politician and could be a great disrupter and has delivered on that goal,” Trump said during an interview with the Associated Press during her trip to Morocco.

“His wealth, and our wealth, collectively and independently, was created prior to government service and prior to anyone in our lives having run for elected office, so I view them, actually, as the exact opposite. Most people do create their wealth post-service. We created ours prior,” she added.

She also pushed back on supporters of impeaching President Trump over his conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“That person’s [the whistleblower’s] own lawyer immediately following the inauguration said that the coup was beginning, so I do think that makes one question intent and motivation, which is relevant,” Ivanka said.

“But at the end of the day, I don’t view the whistleblower as — it shouldn’t a substantive part of the conversation because this is a third party who was not privy to the call and did not have first-hand information, so that is what was the catalyst for all of this discussion. But to me, it’s not particularly relevant, aside from what the motivation behind all of this was,” she added.
