Oh no! I think that someone forgot to tell Joe Biden that his party has been hijacked by the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. How else to explain these remarks he made to affluent donors recently?
Remember, I got in trouble with some of the people on my team, on the Democratic side, because I said, you know, what I’ve found is rich people are just as patriotic as poor people. Not a joke. I mean, we may not want to demonize anybody who’s made money.
“Truth of the matter is,” he went on to say, “you all know in your gut what has to be done. We can disagree in the margins. But the truth of the matter is, it’s all within our wheelhouse and nobody has to be punished. No one’s standard of living would change. Nothing would fundamentally change.”
To top it off, he then told the assembled group of rich folks that they are “not the other. I need you very badly.”
Oh. My. Gosh. Biden goes full capitalist here. He loves the rich. They warm his heart. He needs more of them. All of them. He can’t get enough of them. The more rich people there are in America, the better.
Most recent polls have Biden firmly in the lead, but if he goes on like this, Cortez, Bernie Sanders, and all those other radical left-wing Democrats will have to declare war on him. The chances of him overcoming those progressive extremists? Just about zero, I’d say. They are the modern Democratic Party. He, Biden, is nothing more than a relic from the past, when Democrats were at least somewhat sane.
