Mark Levin: 'Russian Intervention in U.S. Election Is on Obama and Democrats, Not on Trump'

“From the beginning the focus has been on the wrong thing, on the wrong people. The Democrats and Hillary Clinton and the media have concocted a scandal,” popular conservative radio talker Mark Levin said when he opened his show on Friday. “A scandal that has suggested that Donald Trump and his surrogates were colluding with the Russians during the 2016 election. That is a truly incredible allegation with no facts whatsoever.”

Even Chris Matthews had to admit after former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony that no smoking gun has been found. In fact, from the looks of it, it doesn’t exist. Trump has not “colluded” with the Russians.

But that doesn’t mean that the Russians didn’t intervene in the elections in an attempt to wreak havoc and disorder. That they most certainly did.

However, Levin, argued, that the Russians got away with this isn’t on Trump, but on those in power when all the hacking took place: Obama and his ilk. “Who was president of the United States in 2016? Barack Obama. Who was the attorney general in 2016? Loretta Lynch. Who ran the FBI in 2016? James Comey,” the firebrand radio host said, adding:

They were responsible for protecting our nation … our voting system … the DNC database and the RNC database from the Russians, and they didn’t. They failed!

He concluded that the Democrats are running a smear campaign against Trump to cover the “epic failures of the prior administration.”

On Facebook Levin added:

Russian intervention in our election is on Obama & the Democrats, they were in charge of the government and apparently failed to protect us

Of course, Levin is right. Democrats and their friends in the media are constantly pointing an accusing finger at Team Trump, but they (Obama, Lynch, Comey, and Kerry) were responsible for protecting the elections against all attacks, domestic and foreign. The hacking of the DNC, the information the Russians retrieved on voters … it’s all on them.
