When it comes to vaping, I always put on my small-l libertarian hat and remind myself that it’s none of my business what other people put into their bodies. Same with smoking, drinking, watching reality shows, or anything else. It’s not for me, but have at it if you so choose. It’s your life. Leave me alone, and I’ll leave you alone. God bless America.

That’s why I’ll never get elected to Congress. Ronn Blitzer, Fox News:

A House Oversight Committee hearing on e-cigarettes took an unusual turn Tuesday when Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., questioned a witness’ politics and grilled her over a wink she directed at a Republican committee member.

The hearing was in response to recent instances of lung disease that have been tied to the use of e-cigarettes — commonly known as “vaping” — as well as a CDC warning against the use of e-cigarettes. Vicki Porter, who credits vaping for helping her quit smoking regular cigarettes, was among the witnesses, and towards the end of the hearing Tlaib asked about her personal beliefs.

If you have any idea what that was about, please let me know. Rep. Tlaib is a grown woman, allegedly. I don’t know what she thought she was proving, or who she was proving it to.

Here’s more dumbness from Tlaib:

If inhaling secondhand smoke is more harmful than smoking a cigarette, then inhaling no smoke at all must be the most dangerous thing you can do. That, or Rep. Tlaib has no idea what she’s talking about.

Sorry, vapers. If vaping is helping you quit smoking, too bad. Rashida Tlaib says it’s the same thing. And why would she say it if it weren’t true? Politicians know how to run your life better than you do.
