When Will Elizabeth Warren Apologize for the DNA Test Fiasco?

A couple of months ago, Elizabeth Warren released the results of a DNA test, hoping to put to rest once and for all the question of her supposed Native American ancestry. More importantly, she wanted Donald Trump to stop calling her “Pocahontas.” To say that our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the press were smugly delighted about it would be an understatement.

Remember this stuff?

They circled the wagons, as is traditional when defending a white person.

But this display of self-satisfied victory from the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party was rather brief. Within hours, everybody read the not-so-fine print on the DNA test and realized that if it was accurate, Warren was actually about 1/1,000th non-Caucasian. Possibly from a “Canadian or Mexican indigenous population.”

That was it. That was her big win. She and her swooning acolytes in the media tried to #OwnTheCons, but then it turned out she’s about as Native American as a Washington, D.C. football team.

Warren shot herself in the foot with a flint-head arrow. How’s that workin’ out for her? Astead W. Herndon, NYT:

Advisers close to Ms. Warren say she has privately expressed concern that she may have damaged her relationships to Native American groups and her own standing with progressive activists, particularly those who are racial minorities. Several outside advisers are even more worried: They say they believe a plan should be made to repair that damage, possibly including a strong statement of apology…

For some Warren allies and progressive groups, Ms. Warren’s standing by the DNA test amounts to profoundly poor judgment…

Racial justice advocates, keen to cast race as a socially constructed issue with little biological grounding, said Ms. Warren’s actions gave validity to the idea that race is determined by blood, a bedrock principle for those who believe in racial hierarchies and castes.

Amazing. Even the “Race doesn’t exist, but racism does” crowd thinks she screwed up!

She feels bad about offending Native Americans, which is weird if she wants us to believe she ever believed she had any appreciable Native American ancestry. I can’t wait for her inevitable semi-pseudo-non-apology: “I’m sorry I pretended to be one of you, and also, I really am one of you.” She’s caught in a Dolezal trap.

But notice there are no plans to apologize to any of the people she lied to 30 years ago, or to all the Americans whose votes she would need if she decided to run for president:

As I said when Warren released that dumb DNA test:

Does any of this matter? Only if you think a person’s race, or some other indicator of victimhood, determines the truth of what he and/or she is saying. Only if you think “authenticity” is some sort of magic spell that can alter reality itself.

In other words, it only matters if you’re a Democrat.

Elizabeth Warren’s ideas would be bad no matter where her ancestors lived. The fact that she lied about her ancestry to get ahead decades ago, and then doubled down on it so disastrously because Trump kept taunting her, is just the tip of the teepee.

Once again, Trump has managed to beat somebody he’s not supposed to be able to beat. I’m as baffled by it as any other cuck RINO traitor who probably loves Hillary, but I can’t deny that it keeps happening. If the Dems want any shot of winning in 2020, they should quit bashing him 24/7 and try to figure out what they’ve been doing wrong.

And how.
