Bashar al-Assad is His Father’s Son

An extraordinary amount of nonsense is written about Syria and its tyrannical Assad government on a fairly regular basis. Perhaps it’s not surprising, then, that prominent foreign policy makers in both the Republican and Democratic parties have no idea who they’re dealing with in Damascus. (The Israeli government, oddly enough, isn’t very much better.)
