The Quiet Part Said Loud: Hollywood Reporter Confirms What Conservatives Have Said for Years

Townhall Media

A new report reveals that The Hollywood Reporter has, likely by accident, admitted that network talk shows blacklist conservatives, creating an echo chamber of leftist ideology that feeds the liberal mind virus deceiving viewers across the country. I know what you're thinking: This is something we already knew. And that's true.

However, this admission comes from one of the left’s own publications, which openly acknowledges that producers do not allow conservatives to appear on shows like The View and late-night programs hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert. What’s truly mind-blowing is that leftists don’t seem to see a problem with this. They behave as if freedom of speech applies only to people who already share their values.

Hilariously, The Hollywood Reporter doesn’t even seem to realize it revealed the worst-kept secret in the entertainment industry. That’s how detached from reality the outlet has become. The publication posted a message on X linking to its story with the caption, “Say goodbye to most appearances by political candidates on daytime and late-night talk shows.”

THR then whined about the FCC finally enforcing its own rule, which requires equal time for all legitimate candidates during election season. In other words, rather than give Republicans the same airtime as Democrats, these shows would rather invite no candidates at all. That decision all but confirms that these talk shows violated FCC rules and knowingly blacklisted conservatives, with no interest in course-correcting.

“In other words, if you have U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico on your sad, little, basement-rated talk show and the Texas Democrat primary is less than 60 days away, you must give equal time to his legitimate opponents, Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett and businessman Ahmad Hassan,” Breitbart News entertainment writer John Nolte wrote in his piece on the topic.

If these shows wanted to air Talarico, they would have to provide his GOP opponent with equal time. And rather than let Americans hear the common-sense platforms most Republicans run on, producers simply won’t host political candidates at all. How can people not see that those running these programs act as propagandists, concerned only with spinning narratives that advance the leftist agenda?

As Nolte points out later in the article, Hollywood elites despise Republicans. They despise you. There is no loyalty among thieves. Colbert, for example, operates as a company man, meaning he does whatever the Democratic Party establishment demands so long as it increases their chances of defeating Republicans. We see that clearly in Colbert’s promotion of Talarico while he gives no attention to Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), who is running against him in the primary.

Crockett noticed the snub. In fact, she publicly called both Talarico and Colbert liars.

The Trump administration is pushing back against this propaganda, attempting to level the playing field for conservatives and give them access to the same platforms Democrats use to spread their message. Yet wealthy elitists don’t believe normal people should hear the truth. They are now learning that conservatives won’t accept this treatment anymore.
