DHS agents in Minneapolis this Saturday morning were conducting a targeted operation against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault when as as-yet-to-be-identified individual approached Border Patrol officers while armed with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, “The officers attempted to disarm the suspect, but the armed suspect violently resisted.”
“Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject, but was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The man had two extra magazines and wasn’t carrying identification. These are tell-tale signs that this was a planned ambush that could have resulted in multiple agents being killed.
About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.

Gov. Tim Walz jumped on X with his usual whine. “I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening,” he posted. “The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.”
But when it comes to the blame for this situation, Walz needs to look in the mirror, as should Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.
Marc Thiessen nailed it on Fox News Saturday morning. “Look, I think Minneapolis, the governor, and the mayor are to blame for all of this because they are doing two things that are endangering both the illegal migrants and the protesters.” Sanctuary rules force these big raids. Trump team, led by Tom Homan, wants criminals first — guys charged, convicted, or with deportation orders.

That kind of rhetoric inspires the mobs, escalating these situations into something extremely dangerous. We’ve been warning for a while now that their rhetoric would cause more violence, and sure enough, someone came armed, ready to massacre federal agents.

“Pouring fuel on the fire by accusing ICE of doing terrible things, which means somebody’s going to get upset, bring a gun to one of these protests, and get shot.” As Thiessen pointed out, nine out of 10 Americans back deporting criminal illegals. Walz and Frey don’t. So they’re fanning the flames of violence.

I wrote earlier this month that Democrats want blood before the midterms:
They want to create chaos and have the media help them weaponize it. They want martyrs for the cause and footage for their fundraising emails. I’m not exaggerating when I say that they want people to die, even among their own ranks.
The left loves to turn their own people into martyrs, and they’ve brainwashed people into thinking that they are the righteous ones for opposing the deportation of murderers and child rapists. These are the people the DSA is mobilizing thousands to protect. Not families. Not Dreamers. Convicted violent criminals. Why? Because they see potential Democrat voters, and that's worth more than public safety.
I didn’t want to believe it, but all the evidence pointed to the same thing. Democrats such as Walz and Frey want people to escalate the violence and get themselves killed. This tragedy today is on them. Federal agents are going to protect themselves when someone comes after them with a gun. Everything that’s happening is by design from the left.
