Today marks one year since President Donald Trump secured a historic reelection victory against Kamala Harris, delivering a landslide victory that reset the course of the country. He swept the swing states, winning both the popular vote and the Electoral College.

A year later, Trump has tackled the turmoil that the Biden-Harris administration left with an energizing blitz of action, fulfilling a broad array of campaign promises. His focus hits the core issues Americans care about: border security, taming costs, bolstering public safety, reviving energy independence, and driving economic growth, all with a momentum that suggests even bigger achievements ahead.

Democrats like to portray a country in chaos, and rhetorically ask, “Is this what you voted for?” while pointing to policies they don’t like. Trump is doing what we wanted him to do, and it’s driving the left crazy.

Trump wasted no time shoring up the southern border, reversing the chaos that defined the previous regime. Illegal crossings have plummeted to historic lows, especially unaccompanied migrant children who once flooded the border. Remarkably, more than 13,000 missing migrant children lost track of under the Biden administration’s watch have been located. The border wall is back in motion and expanding in critical zones like El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley. Catch-and-release is a thing of the past, with over 139,000 illegal immigrants deported, the "Remain in Mexico" policy restored, and refugee admissions put on hold.

The administration’s immigration enforcement is unprecedented. The biggest deportation operation in U.S. history targets violent criminals — killers, rapists, gang members, and drug traffickers. Drug cartels have been put on notice, with some designated as foreign terrorist organizations, and new laws like the Laken Riley Act help detain and deport criminal illegal immigrants. Institutional sanctuary cities shielded from consequences under previous administrations aren’t immune anymore.

On the economic front, Trump’s policies have made America affordable again. Inflation has dropped to near four-year lows, gas prices sit comfortably below $3 a gallon, job growth keeps climbing, and stock markets hit record highs. Historic tax cuts benefit working- and middle-class Americans through exemptions on tips, overtime, and Social Security income. The U.S. dollar remains a global powerhouse, aided by shrewd trade deals leveraging tariffs against major partners. American manufacturing has roared back to life, fueled by trillions in investments and job creation.

While Obamacare has made health care more expensive, Trump is doing his part to offer real relief for American families. He’s helped bring drug prices down as pharmaceutical companies must now match foreign pricing under executive orders and negotiated deals. National defense has seen a surge in strength. A new missile defense system dubbed “Golden Dome” is in the works, NATO allies have pledged to boost defense spending to 5% of GDP, and peace agreements have been brokered in longstanding conflict zones. Military investments focus on tech, recruitment, and replenishing stockpiles while rolling back divisive political agendas infiltrating the ranks.

Energy independence is another standout achievement. Drilling has expanded offshore and in the Arctic, export bans have been lifted, and Biden-era climate policies that stifled the energy sector are gone. The administration’s overhaul extends to federal bureaucracy with merit-based hiring, cuts on waste and corruption, and an end to harmful diversity, equity, and inclusion mandates. Regulations obstructing innovation, such as the electric vehicle mandate, are being repealed at a staggering 10-to-1 ratio.

The Trump administration has steered education back toward states and local districts—phasing out the Department of Education and cutting federal funding for schools promoting radical ideologies like critical race theory and transgender ideology. Thanks to Trump, the NCAA and Olympic committees made men leave women's sports. Executive actions reinforced protections for free speech, religious liberty, and Second Amendment rights. College campuses are safer now with crackdowns on foreign jihad sympathizers and Hamas supporters. The long war on cryptocurrency ended with the GENIUS Act, providing a stable regulatory framework that positions the U.S. as a digital asset leader.

Public safety initiatives include deporting tens of thousands of criminal illegal immigrants, dismantling cashless bail policies nationwide, and revitalizing crime-ridden cities such as Washington, DC, where crime rates have dropped significantly. Social Security and Medicare remain protected with no cuts or age increases, focusing instead on fraud prevention and long-term solvency. Even election security has been overhauled to ban foreign interference, improve voter verification, prosecute illegal voting, and demand paper ballot backups.

The first year of Trump’s second term is a testament to relentless action aimed at restoring America’s strength, security, and prosperity on all fronts. This is what we voted for, and it’s working.
