One year ago today, the charade finally collapsed. Joe Biden’s abrupt exit from the 2024 race sent shockwaves through Washington — not because it was unexpected, but because Democrats had spent months insisting it would never happen. They gaslit the public, attacked skeptics, and peddled the lie that Biden was sharp as ever. Then came the infamous debate, and the mask slipped. Despite weeks of resistance, Biden finally gave up.
"It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” he wrote in a memo shared to social media.
Biden insisted that he would stay in office — and he did — despite plunging the country into a full-blown constitutional crisis. His eventual decision to exit the 2024 race was a political move, not out of a newfound sense of responsibility but from mounting pressure after his catastrophic debate performance last month. That moment peeled back the curtain for millions of Americans, exposing the undeniable truth about his cognitive decline.
It was that decline, which was obvious to anyone who watched the debate, that made it impossible for Biden to credibly continue his campaign. And that raises the central question Democrats still can’t answer: If Biden wasn’t mentally or physically capable of running for reelection, how on earth is he fit to remain in the most demanding job in the world?
Democrats knowingly misled the American people, insisting that Biden was fit to serve another term even as it became clear he couldn’t finish the one he was in. Then, in yet another brazen insult to “our democracy,” party leaders bypassed voters entirely and anointed Kamala Harris as his successor without a single ballot cast. All the while, they hoped the public would overlook the staggering reality: the man they forced out of the race due to mental decline was still sitting in the Oval Office, serving in name only.
Bizarrely, there are still Democrats desperately clinging to the narrative that Joe Biden was still fully able to serve as president. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) claims she “never had a concern” about him.

Others, like Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), flip-flopped between concern and praise. Today, he claims he was absolutely concerned about Joe Biden after the debate.

When you tell the truth, your story doesn’t change.
To this day, the cover-up continues. While most Americans no longer doubt Biden’s cognitive decline, the issue under scrutiny now is “who was running the country for four years?” because it obviously wasn’t him.

I said it before, and I’ll say it again: this wasn’t just a political scandal; it was a full-blown constitutional crisis. For years, Democrats propped up a man who was unfit for office in a desperate bid to hold on to power. They lied to the American people, stonewalled the press, and smeared anyone who dared to speak the truth about Biden’s cognitive decline. They weren’t protecting democracy; they were undermining it.
And this was deliberate. They knew. The handlers, the staffers, the Cabinet, the party leadership — they all knew. Yet they gaslit the nation, dismissing valid concerns as conspiracy theories while the Commander-in-Chief struggled to finish sentences and wandered offstage. This wasn’t just deception; it was a betrayal of trust that endangered national security and undermined the Constitution.
We can never allow this to happen again. The Democratic Party chose power over principle, and in doing so, it showed us exactly who it is. Remember the lies. Remember the cover-up. Remember the months — if not years — when our nation was effectively leaderless while insiders pulled the strings, and even signed executive orders on his behalf.
It’s not enough to be angry. We must stay vigilant. We must hold them accountable. And we must ensure that no party — Democrat or otherwise — ever gets away with something like this again.
