The Democratic Civil War Has Begun, and It's Glorious

The socialist wing of the Democratic Party is in full revolt, and watching the meltdown is pure entertainment. Bernie Sanders and his protégé Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are barnstorming across Western states with their "Fighting Oligarchy" tour, which sounds more like a Soviet-era propaganda campaign than an American political movement. But make no mistake—this isn't just another progressive publicity stunt. It's the beginning of an all-out civil war within the Democratic Party that could reshape American politics for generations.

The numbers tell a devastating story for Democrats. According to the latest Quinnipiac poll, congressional Democrats have managed to accomplish something previously thought impossible—they're now underwater with their own voters. Only 40% of Democrats approve of their performance, while a staggering 49% disapprove. This marks an unprecedented collapse from last year's 75% approval rating. The last time we saw numbers this bad was right before Donald Trump steamrolled the GOP establishment in 2016.

Chuck Schumer’s decision to back a vote on the Continuing Resolution (CR) has ignited a fierce internal battle within a Democratic Party still struggling to find its footing after the 2024 elections. The party can't even agree on which direction to take. A recent Gallup poll reveals a deep divide—45% want the party to move toward the center, 29% are pushing for a hard-left shift, and 22% somehow believe the current failing strategy is just fine.

Tensions are boiling over, and Bernie Sanders is pouring fuel on the fire with his nationwide tour. There’s no question where he and his allies stand in this fight—they’re all in on dragging the party further left.

Meanwhile, President Trump's administration is systematically dismantling the left's sacred cows through executive orders, leaving Democratic leadership looking weak and ineffective.

Bernie and AOC's oligarchy rallies are really about energizing their radical base for what's coming next—a Tea Party-style insurgency from the left ahead of the 2026 midterms. Internal party polling suggests we're watching the early stages of a progressive revolt that could see a purge of establishment Democrats in favor of even more radical leftists.

This unfolding disaster for the Democratic Party establishment is happening in real-time. Their base is abandoning them, their leadership is fractured, and their so-called rising stars are actively fueling the division. This presents a major problem. Congressional Democrats typically enjoy stronger support from their base than their Republican counterparts—but that advantage is gone now. There isn’t a better time for Sanders and AOC to be touring the country to rally the base.

And you wonder why Sanders went crazy after being asked if he’d like to see AOC in the Senate with him.

For conservatives, this Democratic implosion couldn't come at a better time. While they're busy fighting among themselves over who can propose the most radical socialist policies, President Trump and Republican leadership are delivering real results for the American people. The left's civil war is practically guaranteeing continued Republican control through 2026 and beyond.

Who would have thought that the party of "unity" would end up being the one tearing itself apart? Pass the popcorn—this show is just getting started.
